Ditto,i knew the 8 was coming out,so waited, got a huge discount on the fenix 7,which does exactly whT i want it to do,and tbh, theres not much difference between that and the new 8,the price of the new fenix 8 is ridiculous
congrats for your big change! i was overweight too, i've lost 35kg, but i'm not able to run more than 5km. how have you reached a point where you can run a full iron man? and how do you train for it? @@the_silver_liningg
I got the Tactix 7 (because I like the bezel not cause I need to calculate bullet speed or use night vision!) Spurred me to upbthe training too, good luck 👍
add a nylon hook & loop strap. The standard silicon strap is really heavy approx 20g, whereas the nylon strap is like 3g - means you end up with a 50g watch on your wrist. Takes about 10-20s to thread the nylon strap, 5s to remove it. About 5s to clip on/off the silicon. Personally I now just use nylon unless doing lots/long water activity - or swap out for metal/leather for formal / smart occasions. The nylon is just so comfortable and feels so secure with the hook & loop locking mechanisms.
A lot buy the 51mm and when trying out the 47mm later realize it is alot more comfortable and often gives better hr readings while running because it doesn't move as much on the arm
@@Mrjoysol That I wouldnt do. Go for the Pro Version its enhanced in everything thats different and even as simple as it sounds the flashlight is incredible. But most important the screen is quite better and thats for me the most important difference. Just wait for a sale. I also waited some time. now with the 8 being released there should be some possibilties.
@@the_silver_liningg Thanks! My duty gun is a VP9, which I like OK. A friend is letting me borrow a LTT P30, and that thing is sick. 3.75 lb trigger, optic on it, etc. The magazine release doesn't really bother me, honestly! (Oh, and I'm going to do a video on the P30 whenever I can get all the footage together.)
Agree about being tired of subscription. Got it also because I love not needing my phone to check workout info. Also love more buttons over the Apple Watch along with flashlight and red shift mode. I got the epix pro sapphire. First thought they were gimmicky until I ended up using them everyday. Flashlight so I don’t disturb anyone as I sneak out to get workout in the morning. The red shift mode because it disturb less than a bright screen. If going either fenix or epix 2 can be had for incredible deal if you don’t need flashlight.
Completely Agree :) The buttons are awesome! I really would love to have the flashlight :) I am waiting for the Fenix 8 to maybe snag a fenix 7 pro on discount, depending on what new stuff they add!
I think it depends on what you are prioritizing. There are a few things I miss from the apple watch that I wish the Garmin had but overall I have been very happy with the Garmin. :)
Great review I’m surprised you only have this amount of followers keep at it bro I love your script writing your humour and genuiness(is that a word 😂) comes through. I’ve noticed you rock the orange and lumi green watch straps. Can I ask you if they are 3rd party Ive ordered a 7 and an epix pro looking for one that’s not $70 lol
Hello James! Thanks a ton, I really appreciate it! And yep, Amazon for the win-no way I’m shelling out $70 for a glorified piece of plastic! 😂 Here’s the link: amzn.to/4cwHuYu
Hello Oppenheimer, hmm that is a hard question to answer. I think that really depends on your current fitness level. For sure start with short easy runs (even just a few minutes) and gradually built up distance over time. Don’t worry about speed at the beginning, just focus on getting out there consistently. I think in the early days, I alternated between running and walking. This helped me build endurance without overexerting myself. I hope some if this helps :0
I have the Fenix 7 (47 mm) pro with the better screen, ecg, flashlight, non sapphire but have a glass screen protector over it. I got it on sale a couple of weeks ago for only $599. I figure for $599 I can’t go wrong. That’s the same price as the 965 forerunner and it doesn’t have sapphire either.
Great video ! I think Garmin pay works everywhere where contactless payment works. you should try to test if i’m wrong. But in France it works that way. Thanks for that cool vidéo =)
That's a good call! I am curious about that amoled display! I am hoping to get into scuba diving hopefully by the end of the year. The 8 would be a nice upgrade 😂😂😂 but............💰🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Bought the Fenix 7 Pro last month and love it. Overkill for my needs but it spurred me to be more active and now I’m training for a 5k.

I did something I said I would never do..Wear my Apple Series 6 and Epix on my long runs 😅

What is your wrist size?
you can sleep with watch on right hand to rest left hand. 7s with nylon strap is ok to sleep.
