I plan to mix and match my unranked -> masters alongside my challenger content. Don't worry I will not just be posting low ELO. Hopefully this helps people understand the mistakes I punish & also how I change my playstyle in non-high elo ranked games
So Pekin I got a question. I'm a jg main who prefers champs like Eve/Diana, how do I deal with hyper-aggressive early game gankers and invaders (J4 comes to mind) that want to camp my laners or camp my jg? I can play from behind without tilting but my team mates tend to freak out and flame. Should I forego my camps and try to respond gank or should I focus on my own game and get to the level 6 I need to be at to be effective?
I personally still enjoy watching good players play in low elo when they're trying. What I don't enjoy is how many youtube channels have devolved into people smurfing and playing champs they don't even know, goofing off and still doing well because its low elo. There's nothing for me to learn from that.
I love how people talk about low elo like they have never been there, its frustrating to be a begginner and having everyone on your team screaming at you bc u are bad and cant do anything.
Then why do you play ranked if you’re bad. You have so much time to improve in other gamemodes. The problem is people play ranked immediately and get frustrated when they get shouted at because they’re bad. Ranked isn’t for everyone.
I agree! We all have to start somewhere and we may be bad in the beginning but we'll get better with some time, people learn. I just don't think ranked is where someone new should start, bots are good practice for getting to know your champions and then moving up to norms with other real people to get a feel for how other people play, then maybe dip your toes in ranked, try a game or two, see if it's for you or not
The thing is im not even talking about ranked cuz that's a whole other level, even in drafts people assume you are good just because you have like mastery 5 just from playing the champion. Like, in my case, i don't have a really good computador either good internet, and i just want to have fun and sometimes it would be better if i did not play.
I'm sad now, because every part of that game was familiar. Including the frustration of going up against a smurf and having no idea why they're kicking your ass or what to do about it.
Then your team gets all mad at you like they wouldnt have gotten completely curb stomped if they were the ones laning against the smurf. Then they say dumb shit like "we only lost because you feed mid" or whatever lane the smurf was in. And your just hating life for 20 min and wonder why you even play this game.
@@Hater20X I usually just abandon the game if I'm against a smurf in my lane/role. I am not going to sit here and get smashed by someone who is playing at another level with info that I haven't even heard of.

I'm new in LoL and smurfs ruin every game I play. It ain't cool bruh, let people play and learn. I wanted to quit this game after 3 days of playing when smurfs told me I'm low and I shouldn't play this game
In that case just take the habit to /mute all in the chat. It makes the game way more enjoyable without all the useless conversations. I do relate to that tho.. it's so discouraging when some stupid cancerous players flame you for nothing
@@Anonym-cz6tb this is the biggest thing. learn to play the game before hopping into ranked, the reason you get flamed is because you have literally no clue what you are doing and people are actually trying to climb.
“Just because I’m fed doesn’t mean that they aren’t” that’s such good advice tbh esp for people trying to climb (who aren’t smurfs) bc seriously, some people don’t seem to understand that in low elo, especially those hyper carry master yi mains who think that just bc they have 1 kill they’re somehow invincible.
True. I get upset with myself (and team tbh) if I'm 4/0 undefeated in early game and I'm not checking to make sure their jungle, or whatever other lane(s) aren't being fed then die to them. No pings no anything. Then I'll see the people whom are feeding jumping in alone still to keep feeding I don't get it. If I start to feed early in game I will start finding another way to farm and warn my team! lol Especially low elo hardly anyone pays attention.
@@angeloshino7924 He is ranking up his alt to his current rank, as seen through his later videos. Playing ranked bronze yourself lets us see real time responses of challenger players rather than a vague "oh I'd just do this", which takes way more time to watch, and may not be all that accurate. He is not intending to repeatedly smurf, only to get his alt to Masters, and this is the only way to do that. Perhaps you should be focusing your attention on the riot ranking system and lack of alt account support.
I find it funny how we collectively make fun of bronze and iron and laugh at how bad they play, but when watching challenger smurfs play against them and totally destroy them, we feel bad and defend them out of the pure kindness of our hearts The League community might be toxic, but there's still a drop of compassion in the ocean of salt
Yeah, I mean, those bad mistakes are the reason he's Bronze, he wasn't shit talking him. The point of this video / series is to show that games in low elo can be carried if you're skilled enough and "elo hell" is a coping mechanism
@@stevenb3854 i know 1 person who was in a legit elo hell with barcode name players in 12 games in a row and about every other game and obvious smurf names as well

As interesting as this video is, I feel sorry for the people playing against such smurfs just for a video. Like it feels really frustrating to play against someone you dont't really have a chance what so ever
I absolutely disagree. I got stomped a few times when I was plat (and thought I was pretty good) by people that were master and higher (Meaning laning against them). Sometimes they were on champs I also played a lot and they just opened my eyes to what was possible. So I'd argue, if you have the right mindset (trying to learn) you'll be thankful to play vs someone that much better.
@@tonythrowaway3327 I mean it is a good learning experience but still kinda unfair, it is like telling someone who just learned how to swim to fight someone who won 3 hold medals (this is just an example)
I legit feel bad for their Garen and Talon. They were trying to carry their hearts out, they just happened to be matched up against you. Also, "I don't want any loads blown on me" < we should all aspire to such greatness, lol.
At the same time, looking at this game, the players were more interested in blaming each other than being concerned about their own mistakes. We all have bad games like that, even without people smurfing and especially within low elo where so many mistakes are made and so the same thing occurs, rather than learning from it, they choose to blame each other and continue the toxic environment that League of Legends is known for. Those players were more interested in surrendering than trying to win and they just blamed each other to the extent that the Vayne who was trying was getting flamed for not giving up like the rest did. If they were less toxic, they would likely have been able to play the game out longer, get stronger while Zoe fell off having already peaked and they'd have been able to turn the game around with a full build Vayne, Talon and their tanks. The loss was more down to their toxicity than being against a smurf.

@@niki7876 it’s not the same thing, sports have rankings just like league does, but in real life you can’t literally clone yourself into a lower rank for fun so, in a competition sport, if you play against a professional, you are a professional
It’s kind of obvious that I am not a dude. Playing for fun sure, i have nothing against playing normal games with people of other ranks, but ranking is exactly that: RANKING and it exists for a reason. A silver playing a diamond masters or challenger is not fun, nor is it fair and if you feel hyped and humbled by losing a RANKED game to a player who’s 3 or 4 ranks above you then you’re a masochist. There is nothing humbling or hype worthy about that. If it’s supposed to be a “mix and match” then rank shouldn’t exist
@@ritafrancis it's one game out of many my god dude the ranking system still works. to play someone that much better than u is a great learning experience, and challenger level means they are the best which should humble you...quit being a baby. ur an online weirdo, so im just going to go, pls get some help
@infernovoid there is a reason why the game matches you with people of your same elo...these people are not bad.. they are improving like every player was when they first started the game...so it's unfair to play against a challenger as a bronze player..you can't just fight a baby and say it's his fault he can't fight back.
@infernovoid Oh god, another essay. Dude, I myself am not a D1 player, by any means but I got to diamond with a 58% winrate. Sometimes you have to think of the game not in terms of what your teammates can't do or do poorly, and control only what you do. You only have control over what you can do and if you consistently out perform your respective laner and you will climb. You might not win every game, but you can win most of your games. Unless you're a midlaner you honestly don't get autofilled that much; and if you are a midlaner 7 cs/min is not very good . Not every account is a boosted account, but yes there is a lot of players that are not very good. You simply have to play well in your games. Control what you do and climb. This notion that you have to be diamond 1 to get out of plat is completely wrong. You can't harp on this 70% winrate in gold means you deserve high plat; Gold players play differently than plat. They ward differently, their mechanics are differently, so you as a low plat player can't take advantage of the players in the rank you're currently hardstuck at.

how are smurf accounts fair? like i understand the mentality of "theyll be placed in the right rank eventually" but doesnt it ruin it for everyone else? the losers get a possibly undeserved loss and the winners will be put against people that they might for sure lose against next time that couldve otherwised beat.
I've never ranked but I'm pretty sure I have a pretty bronzey brain when it comes to mechanics and objectives... maybe pushing silver. I have a couple friends who consistently got to plat and gold even during their busy lives. Sometimes we play in-house customs against each other and sometimes you could say it's unfair when the low ranks get randomly matched against the higher ranks. Most of the time we get our butts whooped especially if we get out-comped and/or out-champed. But I'm slowly learning how to play against their play style and I think that's teaching me how to play with a little more gold/plat mindset. I've got better at picking runes, dodging skill shots, and picking fights or disengaging them, punishing people who step up, and probably other stuff. I'm still not that great, but I am learning a thing or two going against people who have more know-how over me. It's not a matter of fairness, it's a matter of "what can I take away from this to improve myself". Life doesnt work in the way of putting you against people within your skill level, you're going to get pitted against people with more qualifications and skills than you. Gotta just roll with it and grow from it.
@@candiedragon ok but a bronze player doesn't learn from getting smashed by a Challenger. Challengers are doing a lot of things that regular players can't because of the level of dedication and effort they put into the game. Keep that energy in the higher ranks. Don't bring it down for the casuals

It deeply affects people's mentality when it is just a game, however I will admit I do sometimes get mad because my teams are incredibly immature and I hate being blamed because a team mate dies when in reality if I helped I would be likely be dead too.
This happens in every elo, so not much you can do about it. It's a part of the game at this point. Just go next and play another, that's how you climb.
Thats true and frustrating, but just think that this happens in every elo, if you start in a new account and you are platinum, placements will start on low elo of course, and you cant do nothing to avoid it, you will abuse of those low elo players because you got paired with them, but you wont lose a ranked because its low elo and you dont want to frustrate them, there is no other way to do it. Smurfing its not good but sometimes neccessary, you could have been banned, maybe you have to give time in the other account, whatever the reason is, thats a common thing in lol and players should aknowledge it and bear it always in mind.

I mean as disappointing as smurfing is, I feel like low elo players can still learn a lot from this video. I see sooo many players in bronze/silver get a really good lead early game and just throw the game - then go on to blame their other team mates. Meanwhile they were dying and giving shut down gold, because they were taking bad fights cause they thought they could 1v9; and not getting any objective control, because they were chasing kills. People that create multiple accounts to smurf all the time just to gain an ego boost are a different story. @Lordo Noobo But when you took the time to learn all the matchups and such, you will probably already play in a higher rank where everyone knows this sort of thing. Obtaining this information is a gradual process where you learn then rank up then learn then rank up... And smurfing just already learnt everything and can then easily rank up, like this video shows.
@Umar Rahim dude, that not the problem. The problem is he's a challenger going against silvers and below. You are the type of Moron who goes into the comments and defends a content creator you like with the type of bullshit that sounds like reason, but isn't actually reasonable at all the moment you put any effort at all into actually it over. It has fucking nothing to do with what elo the viewers are. If a platinum player watches the video while half asleep or distracted by multi tasking, and a bronze player watches the videos with full attention and then devotes 2 hours a day of practice, the bronze player could easily overtake the platinum player after enough adjustment.

I feel like bronze elo from a year ago is a lot different from bronze elo now. I play talon and watching this made me cringe pretty hard. Copyrighted Tree Yes I just came back to the game after 6 years and have learned a lot thanks to Pekin. I was silver 6 years ago. A friend of mine who is Gold and has been playing for years, still jumps in fights without caring about the opponents’ ult cooldowns and without follow ups. He also wanted everyone to group mid all the time when the team fell behind (sounds familiar?), got caught out while searching for a pick- in the dark with no vision control, did objectives in the dark, tried to contest when there was no set up whatsoever and forced 4v5 when I was shoving out bot lane for our team to do dragon. Imagine someone who hasn’t played for 6 years, came back for the game and pointed out multiple mistakes from a player who has been playing instinctively only for years? My friend is not dumb btw, nor that I’m smarter than him. He’s a beast in computer engineering. I don’t think your argument about kindergarten kids is sound. First, in our education system kids get teachers to guide them up gradually, but there’s not many high elo players out there who’s willing to comment to help low elo players, or low elo players just don’t reach out and get lucky to come across someone. Secondly, the brains of kindergarten kids may have not matured enough to learn advanced math techniques, assuming there’s no genius. However, low elo people are not like that, most of them are adults with a mature brain. They can learn what high elo players are doing and implement that. Of course, everyone is different, that’s the reason why there’s Faker and the rest of the world. But to be able to play this game at a decent level doesn’t require that kind of talent. Without Pekin’s help, I wouldn’t have been able to improve that much. I don’t have time and the mentality to play League everyday, but every time I do, I want to do decent. Without his help, I would just go through the exact mistakes that I have stated above and still be a monkey after 6 years. I’m taking a Philosophy course, that’s why I couldn’t walk away from countering your argument hahaha.
Copyrighted Tree Yes You do have a good point about being punished in a game, and I do understand that pressure. You are right that there are some fundamentals that need to be mastered first like CSing, but these are something that bronze players can practice by themselves and also because they are basics, it’s so obvious that bronze players can recognize on their own that they need to do it better if they want to climb. Here Pekin is teaching something that is advanced that a lot of low elo players can’t recognize it by themselves. Surely not all Gold players can CS, but Gold players who can CS perfectly can’t climb higher if they don’t learn the advanced techniques that Pekin is teaching. I would call anyone who hasn’t mastered the basics newbies- they are newbies in terms of game knowledge no matter how long they have played. Newbies can learn from this video, but it’s indeed better that they should practice the basics by themselves first via a custom or a normal game, then come back to this video. That doesn’t degrade the value of this video to someone who has learned the basics but struggles to climb though. In the end, you can’t please everyone. This video is condensed in terms of game knowledge, but I think that’s the best he could have done bc he can’t and shouldn’t just play vs bronze players for more videos with each about only 2 or 3 mistakes that they make. That would be real toxicity. Players don’t face smurfs every game, I heard that it’s 1 or 2 every 10 games or something, and 1 or 2 games wouldn’t hurt much if you can learn to get better. Just pick a few or maybe even only 1 mistake that he pointed out and make sure that you don’t make that mistake whatsoever, and come back to learn more.
At 21:39, the comment about "how much did the pay you for the boost?" wasn't saying *you* had paid, but asking how much *your allies* had paid you, since you're the carry.
Honestly, my favorite thing about this video is how he doesn't talk crap about the people in the game just because they're at a much lower rank than he is, like a lot of the players that post these "challenger into bronze" videos do, and he even praises them when they make good plays. Much respect, man.
I plan to mix and match my unranked -> masters alongside my challenger content. Don't worry I will not just be posting low ELO. Hopefully this helps people understand the mistakes I punish & also how I change my playstyle in non-high elo ranked games
This Mumu telling the enemy team "I'd ff with a team mate like that" hahaha. That's some psychology 101 shit.

@infernovoid there is a reason why the game matches you with people of your same elo...these people are not bad.. they are improving like every player was when they first started the game...so it's unfair to play against a challenger as a bronze player..you can't just fight a baby and say it's his fault he can't fight back.
infernovoid if you’re stuck in p4, you’re not a p1/d4 player lmao

@@y0uwii It is all about consistency, something you don't understand. Players will get placed where they belong, regardless if they get a few smurfs on the enemy team. I reached diamond, and maybe I did get a higher rank smurf on the enemy team while climbing but I can't honestly know, but it doesn't matter because it is not a reflection of my true elo.
I really liked this style of video being able to watch a full game and hear you explain what mistakes your capitalizing on helps with low elo players
Man if I was on the receiving end of that spanking I'd just quit ranked altogether lol

@@Zeldagirlartist Then try to get better? Challenger isn't an invincible tier. Anyone who wants to learn, so that they can stop a smurf just needs to spend time learning how to play better, not to give up ya feel me?
smurfing ruins the game
Pekin I thought you were different...
He's teaching the majority how to get better through this video, that's why he's explaining their mistakes.
@@WavyCats it's still a challenger against bronzes tho, they just couldn't win, the point of ranked is to play with others with the same level of skill as you, and smurfing basically breaks ranked concept
@@LuizGGA very true; however, many smurf accounts are alt accounts trying to climb to their intended rank. Since his next videos are gold and platnium, this leads me to believe he is trying to do the same. The only difference is he is documenting the process and giving helpful commentary as he does it. People that create multiple accounts to smurf all the time just to gain an ego boost are a different story. Perhaps the real fix is getting riot to recognise smurf accounts or remove the need for them rather than flaming alt accounts from higher league players climbing again, as they do serve a purpose.
Every high level player will do a smurf. Even the best. The pros ALL smurf.
What this does is allows them to turn off their brain go into a game and unwind and dump on people. Reset their minds in the process.
It's fucking annoying, and it sucks. But I have grown to actually like smurfs. It helps me grow after my initial rage induced scream.
I've dealt with smurfs. It can be frustrating for a game, but it's usually like one game in a blue moon at least once you get into proper ranked games and even smurfs can lose. They're usually cocky and can throw and tilt if you get picks on them.
If I would be Talon, I would completely drop League of legends after this..
Why?

Whats the point of making this video seem "educational" when the premise is that you are mechanically on a completely different level than the rest of the game? Sure, insightful commentary on macro/playing the map, but your decisions and plans directly correlate with the fact you stomp your lane. I will think of your advice next time im 5/0 on lane and 2 lvls ahead, but when thats gonna be
@Lordo Noobo Yeah there is always something to improve on but yoh just said "Make fewer mistakes than the opponent" even though the point of Elo and ranking is that this szenario should not happen. That's why smurfing is destroying low Elo games.
I agree this video is just an excuse
@Umar Rahim dude, that not the problem. The problem is he's a challenger going against silvers and below. The enemy team clearly would have the fighting chance against his other teammates because they are on same rank. But this dude, who would think it a good idea to make a guide video against bottom ranked players because, hey that how LoL supposed to be played right? That not how things works.
@Umar Rahim He's saying what is happening and not why, that is not educational if the only things he says is"well I'm killing him now" right ? The entire video just felt like he was just doing it to flex

Agreed, this is nowhere near as informative or entertaining as the high level gameplay. Please don't be like all the other smurfers, it's so boring :(
Why? This is more educational to 90% of viewers because thats the elo they play in. You think that you are learning from challenger gameplay but in reality bronze players get nothing from that
Also, too many Zoe games D: I liked variety.
@@michaellin6567 Are you a moron or what? People who are watching his game play for educational purposes, learn from his decision making skills and experience, that he has refined by becoming a challenger player. When he plays in lower elo against worse players that don't punish mistakes or take advantage of opportunities, because they can't even recognize mistakes or opportunities that happen right in front of them, he could play far worse without getting punished, leading to his viewers learning the same bad habits and just getting hard stuck instead of thinking and then acting like a challenger player.
You are the type of Moron who goes into the comments and defends a content creator you like with the type of bullshit that sounds like reason, but isn't actually reasonable at all the moment you put any effort at all into actually it over.
In reality, people will learn based on how much educational content was provided in the first place, how closely they pay attention to the lessons, and then how seriously they practice the lessons until they have mastered them into new, helpful, and much more advanced habits.
So you are telling me that when people smurf they talk about what they do to punish the mistakes of others? This is educational still not sure why everything thinks I am turning into Zwag or something with random picks in low elo and calling stuff OP when it isnt.
I feel like bronze elo from a year ago is a lot different from bronze elo now. I play talon and watching this made me cringe pretty hard. He wasn't controlling the wave, recalling correctly, ganking and losing cs and tower diving. It's crazy to think that you can pull off 8 cs per min and wave control / pressure enemy laners counter gank deep ward, split push and still lose the game in bronze now. I'm in bronze as well and watching this reminded me of my gameplay from when I started playing talon for like the first 10-20 games. Bronze sure has changed man ° I feel like so much knowledge has been passed down and it's easier to access now which is why the skill cap really jumped.
i read the tilte: it's like going in the kindergarten and beat out every baby
Bro there are elos for a reason.... I‘m bronze myself and trying the best to geht better but how are we supposed to learn the Game when in every second Match you get your ass whooped like that! Compete With others on your Level and stop Stealing us time and joy
Szene 1907 the chance of having a smurf on your side is almost as high as having them in the enemy team. So it will balance itself out if you play a lot. If you deserve an elo, you will eventually get there.
@@xInsaneGames yes, You Will get to your elo, but how many games will You have to play if either their team smurf carrys them ir your team smurf carrys you.
And most important, how are You supposed yo learn how to play?
Bruh it's a good way to learn. It's not everyday u get to fight a challenger(in low elos) and learn their ways. Fighting someone your own level everyday is pretty useless and you'll learn slow.

I think the point of this video is not to ruin low elo players game its to show you as a low elo player what you can do to win
I’ve been practicing Zoe recently and I’m currently in Iron. She’s very fun to use and does a lot of damage. I have some trouble escaping though, your Zoe vids have been helpful. :)
I'm also in iron, try looking at "zen coaching", he also has educational content although his teaching style is more abrasive / criticizing of his customers, zen's content really helped me with positioning and reading cool downs and I'm looking to climb to bronze like you

@@haojoshi 40% of the games you win because of your Team 40% you loose cause of them and in the other 20% of the games it is you who decides if you going to loose or win.

i can answer that question. The bronze player loses fun and will stop playing sooner or earlier :) just for your poor ego
Honestly if you want fun, play normal, not ranked. Ranked is for people who take it seriously and want to climb, and the best way to climb is learn from better players. There are so many good advices in this video which are usually only available through coaching but you are getting this for free. Playing against better players is so frustrating but at the end of the day, if I get a couple of things from it to improve, I'm still happy and wont complain about it.
Versus you virtue signalling for your own ego.
