- St Martins hospital was initially known as The Borough Lunatic Asylum. Built in 1902, Canterbury was one of the smallest English county boroughs to construct its own asylum, with approximately 250 beds compared to over 2000 in other asylums. After the 1st World War, it became known as Canterbury city mental hospital and was named after the local church of St Martins after the Second World War.

We went to that asylum a few weeks ago, and heard the walking you was experiencing early on. At one time we heard a door open, footsteps come towards us and we were adamant it was security. The footsteps stopped, no torch light and we didn’t hear anybody leave again. It was incredible. We heard a female call out as well separate to this incident, almost like a cry for help.
The security light that was on at the building, was on when we were there to. Anyway, fantastic video again guys, love the channel! Amazing to see you had similar experiences to us

I was talking with Mark about why your channel doesn't have more subscribers, and I came up with a theory of my own: America probably has a larger target audience for you, just due to population. My cousin and my best friend can't understand Mark, and his accent is as "flat" (as he calls it) as yours. You and he are perfectly understandable to me, and maybe there's a large population of Americans who just can't understand the accent? We really can't think of any other semi-rational reason.

But dark arts tv, ghost theory, Mindseed tv,twin paranormal paranormal nightmare tv series,charm city paranormal. Every other channel is fake or they don’t take it seriously
@@hunterstump9748 yep! Mark (my husband - he's English) can't understand some people from the south. I just got to thinking about the accent (I just remembered another person who said he can't understand English 😂) and I recalled the people I know who have difficulty understanding it, and that's why I came up with that hypothesis. Granted, that's a pretty small test group! 😂 I met a man from Scheffield and one from Birmingham I had the hardest time understanding, but I didn't give up and they were very interesting people.

You have both got balls of steel I'll tell you.
They make the bold (and in my opinion Correct) decision to not constantly have background music over the whole thing. So you’re keen to listen as well as you can, and holding your breath helps so you don’t hear your own breathing over what is happening. Active listening. 👍
Recently discovered your channel and have been binge watching your videos. Absolutely love your humour and attitude towards the paranormal. I worked as a night care assistant for 12 years and experienced quite a bit of the paranormal, i love it, its such a fascinating subject. Cant wait for more content from you guys 😊👻

How did the alarm get tripped, was it an interior door or a locked exit door?
If it was the latter, why do you think the 1st exit door you tried opening didn't set it off?
IDK how other viewers would feel about it, but I'd really love it if you guys could include noise-capture replays more often, ESPECIALLY if you could isolate the noises we're supposed to hear, clean up/clarify them if possible, & really boost up their volume!
I thought I could hear some of the noises you mentioned in the background, but they were just too hard to distinguish to be sure.
I can't get enough of Elliot's laugh when you guys start cracking up, it's sprightly, ebulient, & always makes me smile!
You two always make me chuckle. I love that you can have a laugh while you're investigating. I like that you're not like other channels that are constantly screaming or making out they've been possessed, etc. Keep up the good work.

There were literally voices all over the place and I didn’t even have my stereo headphones on! A lot of “help me”. The footsteps in the complete dark… totally residual or paranormal. No one walks around in total darkness. 27:59 after the board fell, a female says “I did it” She said something else but hard to hear.

I worked at an insane asylum once. My coworker had to go get some supplies, and locked the door behind her, leaving me in the hallway. An extremely tall male patient came walking towards me from down the hall. When he got close to me, he suddenly grabbed his leather belt out of his pants, and began swinging it around at me! It had a huge belt buckle at the end of it, and he was whipping the buckle at my head. He was laughing as he was attacking me, but I was screaming out in terror of him. Luckily, my huge coworker came rushing back through the doors, to stop him. She laughed it off, but I sure didn't. I left the place and never went back. I had nightmares about it for the longest time. The attack replayed over and over in my mind like a scary movie. The energy in an abandoned asylum would be crazy scary. You kept pushing yourselves to keep exploring when I'd be running out of the place!! Insane scary explore and video!!

Great video guys. The out of excercise police signs are from police training like armed room clearances and hostage situations and so on so the signs saying out of excercise just means if went through those doors you would have left the active exercise area
