I have seen a lot of people being somehow confused about the term they used to name this video. So 'kinetic art' is a form of moving/motion art. It started in the 19th century with artists as Monet. Anyway, 'kinetic manifesto' is a moving manifest and it's the dance. They put their art in front of you as 'kinetic art', something you can see. Dance in itself is art. BTS combines visuals with sound wich is satisfying to watch (how you said:the dance moves were perfectly in sync with the music). Come prima' is "most often used as a direction in music, and has the meaning “in the same manner as the first time.” It comes from Italian, in which language it has the literal meaning of “as at first.”" So basically with this BTS went to the root of the kinetic art. Is simple : music and dance. Not a lot of colours, not fancy background, just the essence of the ART as it was in the beginning for them : music and dance is their whole life, from the first moment they decided to be BTS. And, 'come prima' ('as at first'), they will continue to be exactly the same, loving the craft they do.

About the lip sync when they shoot music videos they always lip sync and they are very bad at it you can tell. But when they do it live they sing and dance at the same time they do it live without any lips syncing.
Namjoon in EVERY MV where is trying to lip sync. Bless him he is the worst at it. 😂😂
As far as Lip Syncing, BTS is the first to admit that they're terrible at it. That's the reason they work so hard ; so that they can sing live while dancing, in concerts.

The thing is that actually the reason is that they're bad at lyp syncing. so that's how we know that they're not lip syncing bc you can hear they're voices clearly and when they lip sync it will definitely be discovered since the song and the mouth movement doesn't match. So the editor has no fault in this.

@@LewisTexidorMusic singing while dancing live is harder tho. idk if this is can be called lip sync but i believe every music video done by syncing between the studio version and the motion of the mouth in the video, the drone are loud, shoot at outdoor huge space, also remember the they have rapper who spitting bar, sometimes the video and the sound lil bit not match. watching music video not the right choice to figured out if they sing live or not, i recomend to check out "BTS high note and falsettos compilation"
@@LewisTexidorMusic BTS always try their best to do everything, every vocal live even members got sick or exhausted they still go for live vocals. They always tell they want to give their 100% to their fans.
Most of idols don't do live singing in live performances in awards shows obviously it's bcuz their hard choreos but BTS is the one of grp rely on live singing with hard choreos. Bts is one of idol who is reputed for using hardest choreography for songs.
Pretty hard to believe but actually YOU can say BTS don't do lipsyncing if it's not 100% necessary but they of cause do prerecording for some shows it's bcuz of the rules of the show.

Specially to be idol that person should be perfectionist in singing/rapping, dancing, visuals else it's hard be survive in hundreds of talented groups in korea.

Anything that isn’t an actual MV will be on their BangtanTV channel now they only recently (this year) started putting subtitles on their videos there so for older videos with English subtitles I recommend BangtanSubs channel.
There is a behind cam for this and it shows the drones that film part of it flying back and forth. The lip- syncing is also made a bit more difficult because they are switching from Korean to English lyrics and back again several times during the song. English is not their native language so there are differences in the way words are formed even though they do a good job of making them sound similar... I hope that make sense.

Glad you liked it. Ok, this came out first, before the MV. It is a one shot dance performance, you've got to see either the live on TV or the dance practice!! I prefer the dance practice to get the full energy of the dance with the backup dancers hyping it up but since you're interested in their lips matching the singing, you should watch any of the live performances. There's one where they closed Grand Central Station for the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Second comment because I need to say this too: everytime they sing this live, instead of "Rain be pouring, sky keep falling" they say "Rain be bowling, sky keep furling" or even switch the lyrics like "Sky be pouring, rain keep falling" XD
It's funny to watch but it's not because they don't know or do it on purpose, it's because the L and R in Korean are both ㄹ and the sound changes depending on where it's placed, so I just find it funny and cute uwu

Just like many said, they are actually not so great at lip syncing. However, they can perform this live with the choreography very well. They’re at their best live. They trained for years to sing and dance at the same time.

Last time (and only time) I tried to dance a little bit more seriously, i knocked my knee on the corner of my bed frame after 0.2 secondes and almost had to go to the hospital, my brilliant career ended right there and then
If you watch the behind the scenes making of this video, BTS actually did a full run through right before filming. This was filmed in Los Angeles. They do sing this live while dancing. If you want to see that, Jimmy Kimmel had them on and they performed this at Grand Central Station. You can see how well they perform it live.
BTS say they suck at lip syncing before anyone else. It's why they prefer live singing but that really isn't an option here at the Sepulveda dam in LA.

Oh sweetheart... They suck at lip singing and they know they do but that is a good thing. They get accused of lip singing on live performances all the time because they practice so hard to keep their voices stable while they dance. We Army laugh it off because there is no way they could get away with lip singing. There was one performance of the song Mic Drop that Suga proved the haters wrong. He purposely stayed silent for a few seconds with his part of the song to show them it was really them singing.

They can't lip sync. Frankly I don't think I care about that anymore. Dudes sing live with hardcore dancing. They're seriously hardworking. You'll notice that in their stage performances. Try some of them.
Some members have been together since 2010, from start the trained 12-15 hours , Bts see theme self as brothers the also all live together. Bts had nothing when the debut by coming from a small company. some days the work 24/7, but the continue and today there company is big and the are the biggest group in the world. And we Armys/fans are all over the world in diffrent ages and races. WE ARE PROUD OFF BTS

I think some ARMY jumped to conclusions when Lewis mentioned lip-synching. So just some points I wanna make to army.
(1) The singing/rapping is definitely out of sync with the video. I noticed it clearly on the first watch and so have a lot of other people. When I watched the behind the scenes, I understood why. I haven't been on a video shoot before but my logical guess would be that the deafening loudness of the drone flying around during the whole shooting probably made it difficult for them to hear their voices (recorded and live) and lip-synch correctly. Just a guess. Or as Lewis guessed it was the editor's slip.
(2) When shooting a music video, ALL singers lip synch (unless its "live" concept). Unless the singer is in a controlled environment (a room with proper acoustics) the original sound during the MV shooting must be overlayed with a studio recording of the song. So singers are just required to lip-synch. As for the grand central performance, yes they sang live (you can hear the song with MR removed) but they had to increase the level of the backing vocals because the station is otherwise an "echo chamber".
I think J-hope also mentioned that it was hard to hear the music during CNS shooting, I guess because it was outdoors shooting as well, just like ON.

There's a performsnce of the choreo live in NYC at Grand Central Terminal. 4 complete run-throughs. The final BTS ON at GCT video is 2 of those intercut. Lots of uncut sequences in it. Broadcast via the Jimmy Fallon show. BTS's BANGTANTV YT channel has an on-location dance practice, no backup dancer, that has a drone camera flying around. Single take.

They don't lip sync well, probably because they don't lip sync often. They don't during live performances, including concerts, even while dancing. Not to say enhancements aren't used at times but not to replace their voices. So, they're amazing in about a gazillion ways.

Filmed at the Sepulveda Dam storm control basin for Los Angeles. The lead dancer at the very beginning is the amazing 19 year old choreographer, Sienna Lalau, with the UCLA marching band, plus her dance team and a gospel choir - check out their behind the scenes video! A lot of the filming was with drones. BTS doesn’t lip sync in live performances - valid criticism but how many MVs that are this complex in the filming have perfect lip sync?? This is my favorite of the many videos of this song/performance.

Watch them live do this in Grand Central Jimmy Fallon show, they didn't do lipsync while doing this choreography you will hear they're actual voice and nothing is different from CD's sound. They're really amazing singers.

el vídeo fue corrido y lo que paso al inicio con tae y jimin es que tae se posesiono como uno de los tantos bailarines y con el desenfoco de la cámara el pudo posicionarse en la parte de abajo para luego dar la vuelta y aparecer en la cámara en solo una transición de bailarines sin tener que a ver una edición, se nota la sincronía y confianza de los chicos eso me encanto

Anyone who have been to any BTS concert or performance will testify that the boys sing live. They make mistakes, go off-pitch, they will miss some lines or even sing the wrong lyrics sometimes etc, but for most of the time, they sing well & for sure, live.

maybe it's because you can't speak korean. I have watched this mv so many times, never thought they were lax in mouthing the words or got the feeling that it was somehow glossed over. Something you'll learn along the way is that bts is BIG. Big-Big as in nothing they do, not the editing, not the production NOTHING is taken for granted or done without meticulous care. Of course the boys and the music they make is as authentic as it gets, but they are professionals and the people they work with are professionals too.
The singing/rapping is definitely out of sync with the video. I noticed this on the first watch and so have a lot of other people. When I watched the behind the scenes, I understood why. The deafening loudness of the drone probably made it difficult for them to hear their parts and lipsynch correctly.
