I liked track 3 on the EP, but it felt a bit more death metal inspired to me and therefor felt out of place with the rest of her catalog. This new full-length is right back on track. Great album. Thanks for watching.
I finally listen to the all thing. It is a very good record. It reminds me of Satyricon nemesis divina. As such I was I little let down because I hoped it remained more medieval. Nevertheless very good record
Hulder add nothing new. On what basis is she more sincere than any other Black metal band. If this had been released in the mid 90s it would would have got no attention. It’s ‘pop’ Black Metal. SureLy the second wave ended decades ago. I simply find it meh. And how can a really good album have a flat spot in the middle. No wonder the imagery is all black and white because it has been photocopied from the 90s. Unoriginal, uninspired and far too polished.
People complain if it's nothing new. They complain if it's too adventurous. People complain. Black metal is often stuck in a rut. Which is fine. A lot of genres are. I liked this one. Especially the nod to early Aeternus. Reinventing the wheel? Nope. Just solid.

You heard Nemesis Divina? Huh. Doesn't strike me as sharp or complex as that classic. Hits me more like early Aeternus. Especially on side 2
Great review, love the album. Never loved their logo though, reminds me of Deicide, doesn’t fit their vibe. Small complaint.
