Absolutely love Darkspace for many many years now. Their sound is vast and immersive, and I'm glad you mentioned the importance of imagination for listening to this band. In an interview with Wintherr, I think he said something like Darkspace was a concept of macrocosmos and Paysage d'Hiver was the microcosmos.
Nice review Marty. Gotta admit, I’m curious now, I’ll go check it out. There are two key words that tend to give me pause - when someone says industrial or doom often in a review. I’m learning to enjoy both those things, but in moderation. Lol Well done sir
I have been a massive Darkspace for years....way before Dark III I came out. And I would hesitate and pause on including the term industrial with this project. Since the early works, they've been 'ambient/cosmic' with movie samples, keyboard, and some electronics. And Dark -2.-2 was meant to be a completely different experience from its origins over 2 years ago.
This album has a lot of reoccurring elements to their past work, but does feel far more electronically rooted on this album. It has an industrial plod to it. Cosmic for sure. Ambient as well. All of the above. Thanks for watching.
Great review. Sounds cool from the clips, but even though I'm into industrial and black metal, I feel like this is an album I'd listen to once but not return to.
I have similar feelings, but not because the album isn't good. I'd have to be in the mood for it and it's such an immersive listen, I don't often have the time or willpower to spend a lot of time with albums like this. I put in a solid 6 spins for the review. That may hold me for a while. ;) Thanks for watching!
Very very much looking forward to this album. Great review
Thanks for that and for watching!! It's an interesting listen for sure!
I love that their albums are pressed
On black polycarbonate discs!
Cool band, have all their cds!

It sounds like I will be pleased with the new Darkspace. Great review, Marty!
Good stuff if you're indeed in the mood for immersive and hypnotic. Thanks for watching, Bill!
On point review, amazing underated band!
Thanks!
FACTS.....they all but pioneered 'cosmic BM' One of my all-time favorite BN projects ever.
Great review, Marty!
Hey thanks!
Awesome....I've always loved this project!! Way more interesting than Paysage!!
A bit more consistant for sure! Cheers Mitch! Thanks for watching.

It's certainly not typical industrial, but feels far more electronic, with the BM being a lower layer. Nice and hypnotic. Give it a shot!

Sold. I need to listen to it. I have only listened to the first one
Might revisit also the other ones
I had to before diving in to this new one as the initial preview seemed a bit different from the rest. Lest "black metal. More industrial.
Great fucking review bro
Thanks! I get it right once in a while! Thanks for watching!
Sorry I missed the premiere
No worries! You're slammed busy!
