Bought the 5t 2 weeks ago.. Thought i made a mistake.. Because its not the latest huawei fone... But as i use it and watched this video im really liking it a lot..
I'm a Nova 5T user, here are my thoughts. I've been using the phone for 2 weeks now, and I am satisfied. This has the former flagship Kirin 980 processor chip, which can be found on the P30 Pro. Performance is excellent. I don't play too many games, but Minecraft runs nicely on the phone. The 8gb ram can take many apps without having to restart some of them. This doesn't have expandable storage via SD card, which is a bummer. But since OTGs exist, I doesnt matter. And the phone itself has 128gb already. No headphone jack, but let's be real, we are all going in the wireless age anyways. But to those who are wondering, yes, it comes with type-c earbuds. Speakers are average, they lack bass but it's a midrange phone. Security and biometrics are fast. Facial recognition is accurate, but the fingerprint scanner on the side is better overall, as it unlocks the phone in a flash. The phone still has Google, which is a big plus. Battery is pretty good, although I do experience some battery dips sometimes when I watch TH-cam/Netflix or playing games. Luckily, the phone does come with a 22.5w Supercharge charger, so it can charge up in an hour. The display is good. Although it's IPS LCD, the colors look natural. I did wished this was an OLED display, but for this price point, I really don't care. Plus no notch, only a punch hole camera. The 4 cameras is phenomenal. I take many photos, and the quality of the 48mp pictures from the main camera is really impressive. The wide angle is as I expected, wide. The depth sensor does a good job at separating subjects and backgrounds. The macro is a bit of a hit or miss for me. Although when I do use it, I can get really nice macro shots. The 32mp selfie camera is good, every bit of detail can be captured in one shot. So overall, the Nova 5T is a phone that you must consider when buying midrange phones.
@@ethelgracenala6699 yes. The Built-in EIS is doing a great job stabilizing the video. It can record up to 4k at 30fps with EIS. At good lighting conditions, its great. But in low light, don't expect the best quality video.

totoo to ito gamit ko mula nirelease siya at hanggang ngayon. solid pa din walang basag sa screen kahit ilang beses nabagsak hahahaha pero pag dating sa gaming, dati dominant ang 3i pero ngayon hanggang medium settings nalang sa gaming. example yung cod pag dinownload mo soya automatically naka medium at sa ml naman smooth siya sa high sett pero sa ultra sett hindi mo mapipindot yun kasi di na supported pero overall magkatapat sila ni iphone ng performance, battery wise at less hang. hanggang ngayon di ko pa din napupuno storage hahahaha yun lang
Thank you YugaTech for this comparison. I was considering both of these phones because they are quite similar to me. It is true that the 7i might be a little bit better than the 5t in terms of features but for me, the latter would be a better buy since I use and rely on GMS. I am willing to spend the extra amount just to have that even if it means no headphone jack.

@@KaneNova yes, I do indeed. The phone is really satisfying to use, especially after the Android 10 update. It does not lag whatsoever. It doesn't heat up while doing everyday things. But it does heat up a little when gaming; it's not hot, but warm, I would say around 35°C. The battery is good. I got 12 hours of screen-on time with medium power saving mode on, and brightness at 25%. It's gonna get you through the day easily. I think you'll be really satisfied with it
@@adrianumipig4522 nah. Well some stages do have micro stutters but it's very minimal. However in performance mode, everything is smooth as butter. Just be wary of the heat though when in performance mode.
Watching this using my Nova 5T. I tell u guys their isn't much of a difference when it comes to its battery. I've been using this phone since November and I still get amazed everytime it charges fast. Like when I'm late for work and I forget to charge it the night before? It doesn't matter cuz it DOES charge super fast in less than an hour 👌 💜
can i still use my google play account because all my games are linked in my google play and I'm worried if i will buy this phone. I won't be able to continue my gaming progress
I think theres something off with your antutu score for nova 5t.. it usually goes around 300-400k 🤔 and my camera nightmode isnt that washout like what ive seen im this video
Lacking 3.5mm (mp3 Jack) is not a problem now as there are many alternative options such as wireless headsets, airdots, and USB type C to 3.5mm converters, type C Earphones etc...

proud Huawei nova 5t user here worth the price i've been using my phone for over a month without a tempered glass and still no scratch. I even use it for school and gaming at the same time for the whole day still the battery is LIT. The screen display is very good fits in my purse. The camera very well can took good photos front and back & also with flash infront very nice.
Well, to me in my own judgement, there's no problem to me if there's no google play service. Since I'm so used in the android environment and ios as well. I can't even used fully the iphone ecosystem. And also to google play as well. And up until now, I still find google play services and other gapps are still consuming a bit higher resources.
Actually the huawei nova 5t and honor 20 (same phone but from honor) being 6.26 inches is a relief, I am a 13yr old, my uncle has the nova 5t and it fits my hand perfectly, most phones these days are 6.5+. We need more compact phones
I heard pangit EIS ng nova 7i. Wala talaga ako regret sa Nova 5t naicompare ko sya sa more expensive na P30, halos wala sila pagkakaiba aside from ultra wide at nightmode sa selfie ng p30. Yun lang

im watching using my nova 3i bloated battery edition. but i have a plan to get a nova5t over 7i yes both of them are good. but i need some more functional esp most application can rely a google services. its optional to get a 7i however it needs to have a sideload its considered challenging.
If you were to choose between the 2. I have been using 5t for almost 6 months and i have never been disappointed with this phone. This is super sulit. And the deal breakers MAY GOOGLE SERVICES. UR 7I DOES NOT HAVE TH-cam WHICH IS DUH

Maganda talaga ang nova7i, long battery life, larger phone screen, at price. Pero for me, worth the buck pa rin nova 5t, processor na pang flagship phones ng huawei, mas hi-res na camera, pero lower battery life.

It sucks because I am really liking the pink Nova 7i and its cheaper than Samsung but the lack of google apps is bugging me so bad, for some it's not a big deal but for a student that needs google classroom and gmail for school its a big inconvenience. I might get a Huawei Y9s or push for a Samsung instead.
I might get nova 7i/p40 lite, because of cheaper price and has a huge battery(because of corona virus i will get a cheaper phone) and i found a method to get google services easily

I'm not sold with this review highlighting the latest model the Nova 7i in order to sell well in the market against its predecessor Nova 5T and just to make the review safe the only deciding factor is the price... Im not just pretty sure regarding that only the Nova 7i has nightmode in its front camera, the benchmark numbers are not fairly presented against each other, the cameras wide angle lens 16MP vs 8MP so its not the same at all, no video comparison... As for me the Nova 7i more of a midrange not flagship killer phone and not a direct competitor to outgun Nova 5T but to compete with the Realme 5 Pro and 6 pro, Vivo S1 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G and Samsung A70 phones...
Correction:5t is not the predecessor of 7i. 7i predecessor is 3i. On international versions the phones are separated and named nova 6 5g, nova 6 and nova 6SE (nova 7i). The nova 6 is the predecessor of 5t. Will probably get the name of nova 7 or nova 7 pro.

You sure Nova 5T got only 294,138 points in Antutu? Mine can hit up to 400k in performance mode, hindi mo siguro na on performance mode ng 5T
Same. Without performance mode my phone gets similar scores to 285k-300k and with performance mode on it gets 408k-423k

Nova 5T Antutu score is for V7. Tested V8 and on Performance mode it was over 400k.
The 7i also doesn't have a gyro or eis btw, while the 5T does

im watching using my nova 3i bloated battery edition. but i have a plan to get a nova5t over 7i yes both of them are good. but i need some more functional esp most application can rely a google services. its optional to get a 7i however it needs to have a sideload its considered challenging.

Maganda talaga ang nova7i, long battery life, larger phone screen, at price. Pero for me, worth the buck pa rin nova 5t, processor na pang flagship phones ng huawei, mas hi-res na camera, pero lower battery life.

You forgot to mention that the nova 7i doesn't support EIS and it restricted to 1080p 30fps which is sucks and I'm wondering why. Good review
It sucks because I am really liking the pink Nova 7i and its cheaper than Samsung but the lack of google apps is bugging me so bad, for some it's not a big deal but for a student that needs google classroom and gmail for school its a big inconvenience. I might get a Huawei Y9s or push for a Samsung instead.

I might get nova 7i/p40 lite, because of cheaper price and has a huge battery(because of corona virus i will get a cheaper phone) and i found a method to get google services easily

I'm not sold with this review highlighting the latest model the Nova 7i in order to sell well in the market against its predecessor Nova 5T and just to make the review safe the only deciding factor is the price... Im not just pretty sure regarding that only the Nova 7i has nightmode in its front camera, the benchmark numbers are not fairly presented against each other, the cameras wide angle lens 16MP vs 8MP so its not the same at all, no video comparison... As for me the Nova 7i more of a midrange not flagship killer phone and not a direct competitor to outgun Nova 5T but to compete with the Realme 5 Pro and 6 pro, Vivo S1 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G and Samsung A70 phones...

Correction:5t is not the predecessor of 7i. 7i predecessor is 3i.
On international versions the phones are separated and named nova 6 5g, nova 6 and nova 6SE (nova 7i). The nova 6 is the predecessor of 5t. Will probably get the name of nova 7 or nova 7 pro.
