In my view having been a rider on those T commuter rails from Salem down into the North station back in the early 80's? I can say i enjoyed the service. The only wickity thing was waiting in the winter cold and snow out on the open air platforms to catch the train. But hey ... the service was always great. Kudos to the MBTA and the T commuter service.
Good morning David. Im planning on going back that way in the next year. I use to live in Salem Mass back in the early 80's. And i am also a native born Bronx New Yorker living in the S.W region now. But im considering taking a train from either N.Y.C . Up to Boston or the other way around . But i'm a bit curious as to a ball park figure on rail fares there. Thanks and Happy New Year .
vincent parlante just so you know the Acela Express is being retired in 2021 I’m not sure if it’s going to be all at once, or if the sets are slowly replaced after more of the new sets are built

You know i've seen an MBTA locomotive pulling 8 double decker cars in one run the train seen at 1:40 was pulling 7 double deckers.
