- My first crash with my mavic mini!! I only had to repair the gimbal on the mavic mini, so I was lucky.. This crash was my fault, for sure, as I explain in the video. There was plenty of things I could have done differently to prevent this mavic mini crash! Stay tuned until the end for some bonus cinematic mavic mini footage. Enjoy!!

Hey buddy! Yes I did change them after this crash, the back ones were pretty chopped up, so I just put a whole new set on. I also ran into a chain link fence after that and changed them that time. And now I've just crash into a tree again 2 days ago and I've already ordered some new ones! I like to keep them as fresh as possible. You can absolutly fly when the props are a little beaten up, problem is that motor is gonna be working overtime just to keep up, and that could lead to overheating. How lucky are you... i got mine stuck 70 feet up a tree, then that night had a storm in the morning i found my drone literally in pieces, camera and gimbal completely ripped out and broken into pieces,, all wires ripped out and drone full of water... £17 for both cables, tube of super glue £2 and a hell of alot of swearing and some months later, i successfully rebuilt it and it flys faultlessly.. i NEVER want to replace those cables EVER again... 😂 oh just one tip for you about the rth.. you can take off from a sheltered spot and of course it says return to home point updated or whatever 😆 well all you do then is look around for a clear spot even if you just fly out across the water 30 feet then update the home point in settings again.. then if you should ever need the rth function just watch that spot you just set... just make sure autoland is turned off if you're homepoint is over water 😆
That’s amazing you were able to fix it!! I actually had a similar crash after this one, and tried fixing it again, but I’m not to good at soldering 😆. I ended up just getting a new one, and am keeping the first one for spare parts or whatever. Probably should have waited for the Mini2, but I’m still happy with the OG. Cheers man!
