thanks for the resources. Passed with 80%. I just want to leave a comment here for others studying to take it...there were a bunch of questions on there that in my own study I had not come across & was not prepared for... make sure you know about: functions of a plane's rudder (what it does), know about aft & how weight in relation to it can influence the aircraft, hyperventilation, & shapes of clouds & what that means (rain cloud etc) nimbus clouds, lenticular cloud. Hope this helps others. I'd recommend studying the 'Remote Pilot Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Study Guide' by the FAA it is 88 pages (good stuff)
I flagged the same, especially because (A) says "Document of Compliance," which I don't think is a thing. I suspect FAA put that in there intentionally to throw us off so that we'd confuse it with "Declaration of Compliance." That said, I do very much appreciate this resource you provided. I used it just prior to taking my test and several of the tips you provide here helped me out. Much obliged!
Taking my test tomorrow morning, I've primarily used the FAA study guide from 2016, and the Supplement booklet / laminated study guide as my primary resources. Thank you so much for going through this information! I'll check back with my score tomorrow.. Time for one last day of cramming :P
I took the test recently after watching several videos and taking several online practice tests. I would say the actual time I devoted to study was about 6 hours. Passed with a 90%+. Not a single question from the practice tests I took was in the actual test. The actual test was trickier with wording in my opinion; that or the practice tests I found online simply use slightly different language. It often left me a little uncertain about answers. There were also several questions I never saw covered in any depth in those videos and practice tests, or covered at all, resulting in me having to guess. (Almost certainly the bulk of those I got wrong.) That being said I was able, from using that material and doing my own research to fill in perceived gaps, to get a passing grade. Good luck. Edit: I came across at least one site that gave me a bogus low score on a practice test in an apparent effort to sell its test prep. Some also had grammatical errors and the questions and answers seemed dubious.
Reading through these comments it is insane how hostile everyone is being. Thank you for this guide, I'll be using this in my arsenal and ignore the haters.
Thank you for this! This was the last video I watched before taking my test today the chart you made of the 4 categories towards the end of the video helped me with two questions I would have otherwise had to best guess on. I studied pretty hard over the last two weeks, and this video was a great last minute summary/reminder of everything that made me feel confident that I knew my stuff going into the test. I passed on my first try with a 93% 😊

Although you are technically correct, I believe the answer the FAA is wanting for Question 42 is actually C, the Certificate of Aircraft Registration. At least that's what other study guides and a look through the guidelines have told me. Tell me if I am wrong, as I have my exam tomorrow and would really like to pass!
So my study course disagrees with your answer for #42 they are very clear that the answer is C. Here is there explanation. 14 CFR Part 47 requires standard remote and broadcast module identification to be listed on no more than one Certificate of Registration at one time.

You say it is A--The aircraft's Document of Compliance." Several internet sites also say "C" and the FAA website implies it is "C". Does anybody know the correct answer for sure???
Thank you for the video. I just passed the Part 107 test and it had maybe 10 questions from all the question banks and videos out there. There was maybe 20 questions chart related and many questions on new info not even in FAA study guide like foreigner with drone ID and many other remote ID, new fly over people, weight category3 of drones questions. Questions on chart were different and some small airports based structures were hard to find. But having all the info helped!

You move fast but this is super helpful for someone who is already familiar with all of this and needs a refresher. I love how you matter-of-factly break down their questions. A lot of it is automatic once you understand the way they frame the questions.
In the US, if I have a drone weighing more than .55lbs but I am purely a recreational flyer need to be registered but I do not need the part 107? Once I want to earn money from it though, I need it correct? So I need to register my Avata 2 but not my Mini 4 if I am understanding correctly. That had been really confusing me because I kept seeing all this stuff about staying under 249 grams but then most of the FPV drones are over that.
It's intuitive when viewing the concept from the angle of altitude/height rather than pressure. Considering most aircraft won't be flying at heights where they lose air pressure to a critical degree (such as space flight), air pressure doesn't play as much of a role in flying as altitude does. As such, the FAA bases the air pressure notation around altitude instead of pressure.
This video is amazing. Concise and accurate. My part 107 exam was exactly like the one shown here. I just wish I had found this video before taking it.

Answer to #6 should be "C" not "A"; according to the FAA Remote Pilot - Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Study Guide, Page 50 under Vision & Flight (Scanning Techniques). "To scan effectively, pilots must look from right to left or left to right."

High density air = thin and low density air = thick?? i'm not sure you know what density means... or maybe the FAA doesn't. if i'm wrong here, please eli5?
High density refers to air at a higher altitude which contain fewer molecules of air. And low density has more molecules, closer to the ground. This is the way the FAA sees it and so it's important to know what they mean and how they define air.
@@theweddingdepartmentas someone that is an engineer this is going to fuck me up because density in our terms means the amount of molecules in a given volume so high density means more molecules when it comes to engineering.

Super useful and thank you so much.
Glad to help
42 is supposed to be C
Thank you Jack for your really helpful video! I'm gonna support you for sure. I have a question for you, maybe a missed something, but, is the supplement chart provided at the exam or do we need to buy it somewhere? Thank you.
They will give it to you when you take the test. You can download a copy. Follow the link in the video description
@@HalfChrome Thank you Jack!!!
Jack, thank you so much for this walk-through and explanation of some of the questions. By watching your video, I feel so much prepared for my Part 107 Knowledge test tomorrow. Thank you for posting this video. 🙌
I’m glad to help. Good luck
@@HalfChrome Thank you so much!
Did you pass? Just curious lol
@easyefpv6609 Hello there. Fortunately, I did pass. One more wrong and I would've been toasted. I got a 70%. 😅
Pass is pass
Thank you, sir.

it seems the instructor insinuated the answer for #28 was A but isn't the answer is C?
Sorry if I'm repeating my comments. But, "high density altitude" should be re worded as "High altitude density" to make sense.
Yes. It’s not my wording.
You’ve never heard of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho????😂😂😂😂. sorry just sounded super fancy when you said it 😂😂
and i mean no disrespect. i just found it funny because i butcher names trying to pronounce them
None taken. I’m definitely guilty of butchering a name or two in my day
Very useful! Thanks for the tips and explanations!
Glad to help
i think i had same exact questions on my test but i failed for 1 point :(
Great video!!! I'm taking the certification soon and subscribed. Made my Day!!
Glad to help. We have even more videos on the 107 on our patreon
@@HalfChrome thanks. which membership can I see all the videos?

Check the link in the video description
I got the most dumbest question on the FAA test asking how many days do I report to FAA when I sell my drone and no where I can find the answer.
30 days
This video is extremely helpful. But how sure are you on your answers being correct. Do you have verification that they are correct or are you mostly sure that they are correct?
Great video! Also, it's pronounced Core Da Lane!
Good to know
Feeney Road
Nice video
Thanks. Hope it was helpful
I’m not going to lie never been the best test taker, reading these other comments is kind of scary. People are talking about material they weren’t prepared for, to me that’s on the FAA and this trash system they have set up for us. Half of this stuff “seems” useless..I’m trying to take pictures of houses…..like.. and yet they are gimmicky with the study guide…
Yup
Isn’t the test 60 questions?
This is a practice test
