- This is a yummy cake. A lovely complex flavor due to quality chocolate and sour cream in both cake and icing. very yummy with vanilla bean ice cream to cut the richness!

This is a fun way to save money too- we went out to dinner but saved considerably by serving dessert after in our home...more fun for the babies too!

I have the same pans, I've never used parchment before. I'll have to try that next time. My birthday was the beginning of January and I made a double layer cake then too.

The parchment paper worked really well! Just be ready when the cake comes flying out! you can use wax paper, it will just leave a little wax on your food, which the book claimed is harmless.
