What a cute little guy! So happy and active! A total delight to watch.

Isn't it strange. To me, this was a recipe for chicken stew WITH dumplings. Sort of like a poultry version of the beef stew with fluffy dumplings that my mother used to make. The stew was great but I couldn't stand the dumplings. It was easy to toss the dumplings aside. The stew was the meal. But, my mother also made chicken AND dumplings. Silky chicken in a silky, thick broth with silky dumplings. The chicken was good but the dumplings were the highlight of the meal. There is a huge difference between fluffy and slippery dumplings. I hadn't looked in my Cook's cookbook to see that their idea of chicken and dumplings was just chicken stew with fluffy dumplings. How disappointing!

pretty much! It tastes exactly like real lasagne though and not spaghetti. We like it! :)

it looks more like regular pasta. just substitute the noodles with some other kind of pasta

The cupcake theme would be more difficult for a boy. I probably wouldnt make this for a boy shower myself but you could just do boy colored items and little accessories like socks, paci, etc for the topping? Good luck!
