    Hey! I’m going to do a same engine swap as you to my 88 hilux xtra cab but did you use the gearbox that was in the hilux or did you use another one?

      I didn't do the swap myself. But it is running the original 5speed, yes. But ir would be smart to upgrade to a more robust unit.

      @@Ruan_Loggiii so you still have 4 wheel drive and use the original 5speed that came with the hilux. Do you have an adapter plate between the 1uz and the gearbox or does it bolt straight to the engine?

      Yes, its still 4x4 and yes you do need an adapter

    A lot of complaining for something that is actually a privilege, that route is raw and tough, but that's what makes it worth it. Did you not build your vehicle to get you to places like that?
