Well done Simon, a spectacular first review. The class 37 diesel is an excellent model with very accurate sound systems and DCC functions. I hope to complete my model railway sometime this year and by then I would be able to accuire new locomotives and rolling stock.
One of the newest items I have is a classic Thomas the tank engine and friends picture made in 1988. It will be the centerpiece as I will be hanging it on the wall behind my train table. I can't wait to finish it!
Great video Simon, keep your steam up. Many happy train trips
    Cheers mate

Well done again...... such a great adventure. Sorry things did not come perfect. The other issue I have is with the Hogwarts train. There should be 5 or 6 coaches depending on the year. All corridor with a half brake at one end. Oddly it seems to be closest to the engine leaving London.

Thanks for watching. I’m sure the loco left Accurascale in one piece and they would have sorted it for me if I’d returned it but it was such an easy job I’d rather do it myself than be without the loco for a week or so!
The Hogwarts set only came with two coaches. We have picked up a 3rd but there is not room in our traverser (or in our station platforms) for anything longer than loco + 4 coaches so that’s the longest we’re likely to run. We might try and track down one more Hogwarts coach at some point.

@@SimonsTrainAdventures You were right to fix it yourself.... still a shame. As for the Hogwarts Train my thought was more about the set. I never realised that it only had two coaches. Glad you got a third. I am sure that is more than enough for you guys.
If you look closely and go by the book. There is no room at the Hogwarts station for locomotive and five carriages. As if by magic it just fits. It is only at the London station and en route that you see full length of the train. Thanks for the reply.

I’d not spotted the train getting shorter! There must be some Hogwarts magic going on between King’s Cross and Hogsmeade! (The Hogsmeade scenes were filmed at Goathland Station on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which Simon has never visited…. Yet!)

    Still amazing yet again.
Can I just ask when we spoke a few months back about the liftable hatch at the shed door what's the latest on that project?
Obviously of course I would like to see it so that I can get ideas for my model railway shed.
Please don't feel that I'm in any way trying to rush as I'm an autistic chap.

Hi Liam. No problem for asking. We’ve not done the lifting hatch yet. It’s still next on the list. I hope we can’t get to it soon.

Hi Liam. Thought you might like to know that we've finally done the lifting bridge. th-cam.com/video/h15ANwSYpl0/w-d-xo.html
The next update will show how we laid the track across it.

@@SimonsTrainAdventuresWow that's amazing I love it in fact I'm jealous... until I get mine of course 😁😉😜 if you don't mind me asking what size is your model railway shed in feet? The shed I've got even though it's still technically just a shed at the moment still trying to finish off insulating is 15 foot by 10 foot and also the reason I ask in feet is because my maths is not very good especially in other forms of measurements.

I have just listened to a disturbing review of an Accurascale Class 37. Very pretty. Sound decoder problems and something called vertical curve on curve issues. Clearly these things are not just plug and play and there maybe some issues with them. I hope the minor problem you had will be the only one. Still I would watch the sound volumes, power supplies and curved track specially on the turnouts. Would like to hear about your experience with this engine in maybe 6mths and then a year. if you are still YouTubing then.
Maybe a one year review on something you have in your collection would be a different approach.

Interesting. We’re running radius 2 curves and have had no issues. Most modern large locos aren’t designed to go around anything tighter than radius 2.
