This channel is my ASMR.
I was raised on goodwill hunting and garage sales. Were we poor? um.... middle income when I was young then when I was 13 my parents divorced. With 5 kids we were on Food stamps but no cash assistance or public housing as Mom worked. But poor or not my mom and grandma just loved a good bargain all of their lives and finding that 'find'. And I loved loved going with them from the time I was old enough to walk! I considered it (and still do) a treasure hunt!
I love love this channel.
I am now in my sixties and disabled and although not in a wheelchair, walking through a goodwill or getting in and out of a car at garage sales just isn't possible.
You are now my thrifty shopping feel good vib and it truly means so much to "go with" you every day...!

Great video! I won't tell you that we wear hoodies only in 32 degree weather here in Ottawa, but I am glad that you aren't hear for the -35 windchill (so cold your car battery freezes). The parachutes they used to drop from the catwalk of the Falcons games and Chick fil A sponsored football games in ATL. Most had the cows attached but some had The T shirts rolled up. Thats what they are from.

they dropped the parachutes with the chicken sandwiches during the SEC Championship game in ATL. The student sections were next to each other and got into a huge food fight. My daughter graduated from Alabama LOL

fyi for charging batteries and stuff see if you can get a dc-dc converter. Smaller, more powerful, less headache. If you can get a cig lighter 120w dc-dc that can charge a laptop that's the size of a regular usb cig lighter adapter then shouldn't be a problem for batteries.

We had 40+ mph winds with 25 degree temps here yesterday. Just another Winter day here in South Dakota! Lol 🥶 I grew up in southern CA so I do understand when you say that 30 degrees is cold for SC. We used to wear winter coats when it got down to 50 degrees and still thought we were freezing!

@@beardedthriftmachine, it is a super cool town. My tip is that the Bins is an incredible shoe sourcing spot. They bring bins out until 4 pm M-F. The secret is out, however, so competition is stiff. Still, I got there after 5 and got 4 practically new, high-end pair and 2 very good pair and I wasn’t even looking for shoes.
You should be able to get that discoloration out. Do a search for get discoloration out of a fabric purse. I suspect you have your own methods though. 😁

I always research and study the internet for historical and valuable items. I entertain myself and gain knowledge. When I find some thing rare and valuable that the seller or other people know nothing about, I buy it, keep it or flip it for a great profit.
That might be makeup on the Tumi bag. I usually try baby wipes first on stains like that. If that doesn't get it, maybe a little dawn or oxiclean if needed. That little inverter will be so useful. I hope it works. Great pick up for a buck. I cannot believe you didn't pick up those lil playmate coolers. LOL I thought they had a dollar on them but, decided I must be wrong since you left them behind. I'm with you guys on the cold temps. I'm in Lexington, KY. and we actually had 70 today. Woohoo! It's supposed to be in the 40's again tomorrow and Saturday but, back to 50's and 60's after that. Welcome to KY. If you don't like the weather, just stick around for a few hours, and it will change. LOL

I would try dissolving some Oyxclean in hot water, soaking those Tumi bags in it for awhile, and after awhile trying to remove those stains... Then rinse and dry... I bet it comes out and will not bother the bag fabric at all...

Now you have me hooked, new subscriber. Definitely don't buy old projectors, I'd love one, however , there is no guarantee the bulb is good.. In today's world those bulbs can run up to 100 bucks or more. That's the killer on those .

I think the parachute cows were dropped down in the crowd of one of the bowl games. Chic fil A bowl? For a dollar I would try and get the stain out of the tumi bag using some oxi clean and hot water in the tub. I've used it on antique baby clothes and they came out fine. Then hang to dry. It need to stoak a little while and I used boiling water which is what I read online. Good luck.

I took my Tumi bag to the Dry cleaner after a vacation and spilling makeup inside that got all over it. It came out looking brand new from the cleaners! I guess you get what you pay for! Good finds! 😊

How do you find so many yard sales? Are there Facebook or some other form of media to find them? Even in the warmer months there doesn't seem that many sales around here.
As for the weather. I'm sitting here with the lights flickering because the wind is blowing about 45 mph with gusts to about 60. Gonna be a fun night.
yea i was watching the weather and i saw some states are getting crazy weather - we manly use facebook market place and craiglist to find sales - also around here there are facebook groups that are for yard sales that i can join

I always use calculated shipping and alot of times flat rate boxes help out.

I always buy if it catches my eye. Because 9 out of 10 it's going to catch someone else's eye and you'll have a sale. So anything on the cheap side especially dollar items. I always buy them. It's going to sale as a profit. I don't sell on Ebay or Amazon no more. The shipping cost, the fees and dirty trick buyers turn me off of those platforms. I only sale things in person using Craigslist, Facebook Market, Flea Market booth or even my own plain yard sale at home. No middle man cost, except the flea market booth fee, which is always cheap. Never lost money ever and I don't hold things for ever either. If I had it for 3 months. I sale it at cost and turn that money over faster, buying the right stuff for the market I'm heading to. Now yes I'm making less money as the final sale. As I might sell that dollar bag for $30 dollars. I say that's a good profit. Someone else can buy it from me and try to sell it more on Ebay or Amazon for $100. I'm the middle;middle man I guess.
