I remember my grandfather had a 51 Chevrolet two-tone metallic green roof with a light green body nice looking car I remember riding in the car with him and he always smoked cigars all the time
Very interesting! That early Powerglide was just a downsized Dynaflow. It didn’t shift but relied on torque multiplication in a single gear. Later years brought out the two speed version the shifted up automatically. Good film about real cars!
I like the Penny Loafers!
And away we go !

Love, that Power Glide! 💋
Oddly enough I miss my 81 stick shift Citation.
Wow! I never knew one could push start a car with an automatic transmission. (Well, a “Powerglide” anyway!)
Lesson learned 70 years too late for most of us.
You couldn’t with the later models.
I have a rare Honda Accord with a manual transmission!
The bad thing about the LOW position in this transmission is that it is right next to REVERSE! The newer ones have REVERSE next to PARK! Much better.
Not to change the subject here, but is there going to be any more Waterfront? Also, Rescue 8 would be good to find. Thank You
We always have our eyes open and ready. As soon as we come across more episodes (even on 'loan') we will post. Stay tuned, we love Waterfront too! :)
