The graveyard shuffling is not a stupid rule. It's done so if you demand a replay of that turn they will be able too. By changing the graveyard they can lie about how the turn happened to a judge.
Yeah you're not aloud to shuffle the graveyard as it is like record keeping and also there are cards that target specific number order for example "Question." Its like when you have to mill your deck you don't shuffle it unless a card effect tells you.
I agree back then I actually enjoy it when i played people. but nowsdayst otk ftk barley duels last long anymore because of that. back then I played at my locals the duels lasted way longer now you barley get a chance to win if you mess up you lose in 2 turns. back then when you messed up you get tons of turns turn duel around because links don't exist.
Ehren doesn't negate Flip Effects. The monsters are flipped at the start of the battle, before damage calculation. The Flip Effects activate after Ehren's effect resolves: Ruling from wiki: The effect of "Ehren, Lightsworn Monk" activates during the Damage Step, after the monster is flipped face-up but before Damage Calculation is performed.[1]
Oh man, the way she threw your cards. I'd been pissed I hate it when I let people use my decks for duels and they even place a card down roughly (IE bending the shit put of it lol)
Besides even if the flip effect wouldn't occur(which it would), Ehren doesn't "negate" anything, the effect just wouldn't be activated, but since Ehren's effect is applied in the beginning of the damage step the monster is flipped, however no damage calculation is applied.
that depends...if it is a flip effect monster, or a monster that activates it's effect when flipped face up (like fossyl dyna), it's effect will trigger, they will be sent to the deck, and then their effect will resolve..
Before damage calculation, not the Damage Step. "The effect of "Ehren, Lightsworn Monk" activates during the Damage Step, after the monster is flipped face-up but before Damage Calculation is performed." Official ruling.
Theyre not nervous habits. Its just something us magic players do, and Yugioh players try and mimic it...and shes really bad at it by the way. Its just something to do with your hands. A lot of us do that kind of shit all day every day
I hate when my opponent has the same sleeves as me. As cards sometimes get "mixed up" when playing with certain people. So I often find myself going out of my way to make sure my sleeves are different than my opponent's.
To protect your cards. Sure you're using sleeves, but they can still get scratched up and damaged, and using a mat ensures you can play on almost any surface. Its also another way for duelists to express themselves through mat artwork.
yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Ehren,_Lightsworn_Monk "The effect of "Ehren, Lightsworn Monk" activates during the Damage Step, after the monster is flipped face-up but before Damage Calculation is performed"
I made a lightsworn lightray deck. I threw in seal of orichalcos and it just makes daedalus 10x more broken. +500, seal doesn't get destroyed. Threw in magical merchant in the deck so it's less likely to get milled.
You can show up and pay entry fee. You can earn an invite while there or what not. The monster was Lightray Daedelus...I could be wrong on the spelling.
hi is anyone here an official judge because iv'e been looking around half the people say you can't use lumina's effect with no lightsworn in the graveyard and the other half say you can . I checked yugioh wiki and it says under the upper deck rulings you cant but they might not apply now ( to be honest the only reason I care because I run zombies and lumina and zombie master are virtually the same effect )
You still need a target in order to activate the effect. At the resolution you can special summon the monster you discarded. Ruling: "You cannot activate "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner's" effect if you do not have any Level 4 or lower "Lightsworn" monsters in your Graveyard, even if you would discard one to activate the effect."
That necro gardna has been sent it to the graveyard by the card gunner "!!! I love that kind of tricks i have an electromagnetic turtle on my deck and i love when my card trooper sends her to it"
And there is proof 2: She start game with 5 cards, active field spell and she have now 4 cards in hand. Summon monster and now she have 3 card in hand. Then she use monster eff in field, add some card from deck quickly in hand and then summon monster from deck. In this case if you start duel with 5 cards and not 6 if first turn is yours you need to draw card from deck and not add any card you want in your hand.
man I cant keep up to this, I dont get anything is like they are playing at the same time (like there's no turns at all) and just drop card to the graveyard like nothing IDK this game got crazy
RaySworn Ft. Sephylon is such a good deck. My teammate runs it and he has the 1 tech'd in Seal of Orichalcos for goofy combos like with Daedalus to pop Seal and 2 cards on your opponents field, but Seal doesn't get destroyed and their cards do. Also it protects Lumina so you can keep reviving and setting up your grave.
the funny thing, dragonduelistgirl couldn't wrap her head around Daedalus' effect, that it really does hit 3 cards. but it has to hit a field spell card to work properly, and she just happened to use spellbooks. she joked about him stacking but really she did a lot of questionable moves that seemed like she could cheat.
if you attack a defense monster with Ehren, it wouldn't flip right? since it's before damage calculation, it would just be shuffled back into the deck without effect activation of the defense monster
was wondering if this strategy would work, using, lyla lightsworn, a legendary ocean, level limit area A, Dna transplant. With them 4 on the field and attribute selected as water, is it possible to reuse lyla's effect over and over?
If there are no targets then he couldn't have activated Lumina's effect. If there is a Lightsworn in grave, and you discard a LS for Lumina's effect, than you are able to summon the card you discarded.
2:40 her question just demonstrates that knowledge of mainstream decks does not give you the advantage you would expect..obviously you cannot expect to face every tier 2 o higher deck, but it wouldn't hurt to know more than you are supposed or that you decide to know...
well people like doing that cause it helps them think, warm up or something and yugioh may not be poker, but is still serious when you play for money, pride or something thats important.
wrong, ehren's effect applies before damage calculation, not the damage step. so you proceed to damage step, flip monster face up, then ehere's effect applies shuffling it back into the deck.
Given the date, I'm fairly certain Prophecy didn't have everything. They didn't have Judgment nor many of the cards that came with it. There's a reason she lost lol.
the thing about ygo i dont like is an oldschool player coming into now wont know wtf is going on, but i play mtg now, and it never really changes fundamentally. went to my lgs the other day and used an ancient deck and stomped some guy who challenged me
OH ok i see thought, & if you ask me i have the same problem with cheap Burning Decks & Macrocosmos, where i live they're everywhere and it's really annoying lol
There was no need for her to vailer the lightray warrior monster you can only use his effect if all the monsters in your graveyard are warriors.... and that was not the case.
Ahh I see. Thanks for the quick reply I appreciate that. I was always wondering about how to enter a ycs and the spelling was close enough I found it. Thanks again.
Back i my day having your monsters in the graveyard was a bad thing. Guess now its good.
+Angel Sanchez Back in ma day! People wouldn't play so fast making your opponent not know what is going ahn!
I know right
Nah, no es cierto..... recuerda que RENACE AL MONSTRUO y LLAMADA A LOS CONDENADOS ya estaban en juego, y no era raro verlos
Nah that's false, rmemeber that Monster Reborn and COTH were a thing even back then
boomer
My hate for a deck depends on how many people use it. Lightsworn are not the meta any more so it considered being unique now.
The graveyard shuffling is not a stupid rule. It's done so if you demand a replay of that turn they will be able too. By changing the graveyard they can lie about how the turn happened to a judge.

as well there a card using the graveyards order. i remember 1 card reviving the 1st monster youll find in the grave.
Remember watching it back in the days! Kinda miss those times
Amanda the original TCG waifu next to Dark Magician Girl lmao

peachique happent like that
pretty fucked up huh
Besides even if the flip effect wouldn't occur(which it would), Ehren doesn't "negate" anything, the effect just wouldn't be activated, but since Ehren's effect is applied in the beginning of the damage step the monster is flipped, however no damage calculation is applied.

did you ever make an updated version of this deck because I'm put some veiler in its still very fun to play
Monsters are flipped in Substep 2. Ehren activates in Substep 3. Flip effects still occur.
...she had a secrets in hand at the end of the second duel... WHY DIDN'T SHE DO ANYTHING WITH ITTTTTTTTTTTTTT
She's bad at yugioh.
A & C she sucks at yugioh
Before damage calculation, not the Damage Step. "The effect of "Ehren, Lightsworn Monk" activates during the Damage Step, after the monster is flipped face-up but before Damage Calculation is performed." Official ruling.
her nervous habits are seriously WOW!
i've got a poker game and she's invited anytime!

So I often find myself going out of my way to make sure my sleeves are different than my opponent's.
That lightray main is why youryugiohchannel is my favorite yugituber.
I guess they shuffle to see all posibilities they have.
To protect your cards. Sure you're using sleeves, but they can still get scratched up and damaged, and using a mat ensures you can play on almost any surface. Its also another way for duelists to express themselves through mat artwork.
I don't have pockets lol
but it really did die you were there watching the entire time I never got up to turn the camera off.

Can anyone tell me the name of the card at 2:25 that he just played on the field.
Lightray Daedalus. Destroy 1 field spell card and 2 other cards on the field.
I just subbed to you a day or 2 ago, did you ever do a deck profile for your lightray/sworn deck
I enjoy watching you duel other yugitube people thanks for the upload :]
Can u make a deck profile of that lightsworn deck??
You are quite the gentleman with her. That is very awesome and admirable of you.
You can show up and pay entry fee. You can earn an invite while there or what not. The monster was Lightray Daedelus...I could be wrong on the spelling.
That Legend of Zelda mat is awesome.
Where are they at bc i see that field spell abf its not out yet...
hi is anyone here an official judge because iv'e been looking around half the people say you can't use lumina's effect with no lightsworn in the graveyard and the other half say you can . Breakre was at 1900, she never used his eff game 2, he also milled 3 for Trooper making him a 1900, so they clashed.
It helps protect the cards from extensive damage, that and it help personalize the duel
Having to cut a specific number of cards doesn't make sense. If they know how many you will cut, then they can stack more easily.
Lumina has a beautifully broken effect, it asks for cost, then target.
7:02 how do they both get destroyed if trooper milled 2 for 1400 and breaker is 1600 (1900 with boost)
And there is proof 2: She start game with 5 cards, active field spell and she have now 4 cards in hand. Summon monster and now she have 3 card in hand. Then she use monster eff in field, add some card from deck quickly in hand and then summon monster from deck. In this case if you start duel with 5 cards and not 6 if first turn is yours you need to draw card from deck and not add any card you want in your hand.
man I cant keep up to this, I dont get anything is like they are playing at the same time (like there's no turns at all) and just drop card to the graveyard like nothing IDK this game got crazy
you should see it now
I'm sorry, but at 2:25, what is that card? I've never seen it before.
Such a funny duel, she got blown out, but it was still enjoyable to watch. Keep the yugituber matches coming!
RaySworn Ft. Sephylon is such a good deck. At 7: something why does breaker and trooper die when trooper has 19 or did she not use breakers eff?

Can someone please tell me what card he summoned at 11:27 ?
Sephylon the Ultimate Time Lord
yecards95
Thank you bro !
on the card it says before damage calculation so it wouldn't flip?
I swear when Ehren attacks a face-down it shuffles into the deck before flipping... because it does so before the damage step...
It might have been a printed out proxy, given that she had other proxies in the deck.
if you attack a defense monster with Ehren, it wouldn't flip right? since it's before damage calculation, it would just be shuffled back into the deck without effect activation of the defense monster
Can i get a deck list for this deck your playing?
that hand shaking with the cards... God !
was wondering if this strategy would work, using, lyla lightsworn, a legendary ocean, level limit area A, Dna transplant. With them 4 on the field and attribute selected as water, is it possible to reuse lyla's effect over and over?
What card was played at 10:32 ?
I read your comments
no as long as theres another lightsworn that you can target with Lumina's effect then you can SS even a Lightsworn that you dropped for cost
how would it flip if it's before damage calculation, if it's before damage calculation it wouldn't flip right?
If there are no targets then he couldn't have activated Lumina's effect. If there is a Lightsworn in grave, and you discard a LS for Lumina's effect, than you are able to summon the card you discarded.
i used to though that youryugiohchannel was awfull during a duel though he is just calm and kinda plesant
2:40 her question just demonstrates that knowledge of mainstream decks does not give you the advantage you would expect..obviously you cannot expect to face every tier 2 o higher deck, but it wouldn't hurt to know more than you are supposed or that you decide to know...
I think the same lol although you'd practice hand shuffling etc like with any cards.
well people like doing that cause it helps them think, warm up or something and yugioh may not be poker, but is still serious when you play for money, pride or something thats important.
Flip effects still happen. The monster is flipped before damage calc.
i love the conversation between me and dan goods in the back ground hahah xD
wrong, ehren's effect applies before damage calculation, not the damage step. so you proceed to damage step, flip monster face up, then ehere's effect applies shuffling it back into the deck.
I love how a $80 deck won a $300+ deck
back when yugioh was fun
ZeXal era didn't change much from 5D's though
Given the date, I'm fairly certain Prophecy didn't have everything. They didn't have Judgment nor many of the cards that came with it. There's a reason she lost lol.
I'm seeing cards upside down in the deck. How do you stand that?
Ehren doesnt negate any effs, ryko eff happens after it is returned to the deck.
how did she have the field spell wasnt it realeased on nov3?
Why was thats card backwards in her sleeve
the thing about ygo i dont like is an oldschool player coming into now wont know wtf is going on, but i play mtg now, and it never really changes fundamentally. went to my lgs the other day and used an ancient deck and stomped some guy who challenged me
Amanda Effect Veilered it. Gearfried cannot negate with an effect it does not have.
Seriously you aaaaaaaaaaaaare the best yugioh player i have ever see, freaking awesome, continue man!
PLEASE TELL ME WHERE SHE GOT THAT MAT FROM!
how much cost solar rechargue?
Yah could you make a video about the deck you used, how it works, and what it's good with/against?
Why didn't ddg use hangan of prophecies effect?
what was the monster u summoned in the beginning?
Some people do it if they're like me. My nerves are really fidgety. So I always have to be doing something, even if it's just tapping my foot.
a lightsworn was in the grave already when activated
How does she have that field spell? its not out yet right?
What deck were both of them useing?
How does she have the field spell it didn't come out yet
I like her reaction to daedalus."Omg why do you main deck that" i thought that was pretty funny
okay i just started to play yugioh after a few years. Can you summon in face up def?
OH ok i see thought, & if you ask me i have the same problem with cheap Burning Decks & Macrocosmos, where i live they're everywhere and it's really annoying lol
her hand is so fast! omg
I don't think Lumina can special its discarded target...
Do you have to qualify for ycs or do you just show up and pay entry fee? and what was that first monster he summoned that she called broken?
She went around pretty good. She was with pretty much everybody that weekend.
the video was uploaded during the 25.10.2012 and the sneak was on the 3.11.2012 if im right. so how did she get ''the grand spellbook tower''?
If you already have a lightsworn in the grave, then you CAN SS Jain.
i think the flip effect monster get its effect once it's returned to the deck.
It flips before it teleports back into the deck
is this your spirit typing?
