Yeaah hahahahaha definetly she's speaking the chamali and not all moroccans going to understand me neither i don't get any word of what she was saying 😅 im from Casablanca and i think the chamali most of words are spanish that's why i didn't understand what she was saying 😂😂

@@ghiles.a no they don’t lol I’m Moroccan from casa and didn’t understand half of what she said she just have a different vocabulary bcz both of her parents are from north and east and we know that these regions have really different words than us in casa so yeah

I'm from Tetouan and I understand everything nora said , she used the darija we use in the north of Morocco which is more difficult because we use some Spanish words.

OMG, mechero! In Spain we say also 'mechero' to name the lighter!!! Maybe it's influence from there
Guys Basically the Moroccan darija is a bit complicated i. Each side of Morocco we have some special words there is the Chamalia language .. the fassia language.. the casawia language the sahrawya language (Plus the Chalha and sousia language these are a High level 🤣🤣🤣)
Idk a lot about Arabic but since I’m Amazigh I’m gonna explain a bit about our language.
Just like Arabic, we Amazigh people also have dialectal variations within our language (for the purposes of this comment I’m only gonna focus on Morocco)
There’s Tarifit, it’s the language of the Rif, there’s also closely related dialects of the Zenati branch (to which Tarifit belongs) spoken in the northeast (for example, in the L’oriental economic region).
Middle Atlas Tamazight is the variation of Tamazight that’s more intelligible with Atlas variants but we can still notice the Zenati influence on it and the intelligibility, although it’s there, we still can’t inherently understand it all…
Central Atlas Tamazight is the variant that’s spoken in the middle atlas and some parts of the high atlas. It’s from the Atlas languages and it’s highly intelligible with Tacelhit (though CAT speakers say words differently and use different words for certain stuff; otherwise, same grammar and I think we’re 80% intelligible or less)
Tacelhit is the variant that’s spoken in the High Atlas, Anti Atlas, as well as the economic regions of Souss-Massa and Guelmim Oued Noun. That’s the most spoken variant in Morocco and by virtue of being an Atlas language, it’s intelligible with Central Atlas Tamazight (though, as I said, some words are pronounced differently and we use different words for certain things; also, we have same grammar and I think we’re at least 80% intelligible or more). Also, that’s the variant I speak.
P.S: the Amazigh people aren’t called Chleuh, only the Chleuh people are called that. The others are called either Amazigh or they’re called by their own endonym (for example, don’t go around and call someone from Nador chla7; they’ll get probably offended)

متشيرو comes from mechero it's a Spanish word used in the north of Morocco .. Moroccans of north and rif use a lot of words in spanish

Trust me honey but this is not Darija (Moroccan Arabic) The concept of this challenge is to use Moroccan words which are in Darija (common words) not words that r only used in a particular region of Morocco.

Macero is the lighter in Spanish and most of the words she said was darija it is not is the common language spoken in shamal taken from spanish as it was colonised by them, but it is not actual darija, it like saying biru (desk) which is a French word for desk (Bureau). Can’t exactly call it darija.
We say brika for lighter but it comes from french. So it’s not real Darija then right 😂 We have another word for it: sha3ala. But it’s not commonly used I believe.

Darija means "common tongue" so the local Arabic dialect spoken in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. Each city will have a different type of "Darija" since it's a dialect of Arabic that is influenced by different languages depending on the city and country..
it's not an "official" language. It's basically the same thing as Middle Easterners call it "Aaamiyya" "عامية"
