TAKE THE SHINGLES OFF FIRST IF NOT STUCK TO THE FELT THEN RIO OFF FELT I BEEN ROOFING 35 YEARS SOME ARE TOUGH I TORE OFF 9 LAYERS ON ONE HOUSE ABOUT TO FALL IN TO MUCH WEIGHT.
I just got quoted 45k for a shingle roof for my house. I went to a roofing supplier and 50 year GAF material (2900 sqft, 30 squares) is $9500. Includes material delivery and makita nail gun! It'll be fun
You have more experience than I do for sure but I recommend wearing long sleeve shirts and pants. Don’t forget the hat. Protect yourself from the sun and the sun doesn’t drain you as much
Considering how much work is involved in roof replacements I am suprised people go with asphalt shingles instead of somthing longer lasting. This is not somthing I would want to do more than once in my life.
If you have any tips or suggestions on how you remove an old asphalt shingle roof please comment below. Also, don't forget to like and subscribe.

Thank you 🙏
I was doing this by hand about a week ago and it was 109 degree weather. Almost passed out on the top
Yeah that sounds rough. It’s always hotter on the roof too.
I hope there is no asbestos in shingles?
Fiberglass. The shingles were from the 90’s.
I have a way better system. I wait for the shingles to rot out and let the wind blow them into the neighbors yard.
Haha
