  • Come check out the second round of frags I've just picked up for the new Red Sea Reefer G2 350. I've added some easier to keep sps corals, a few ORA corals, a gold hammer, gold torch, and more! The algae and ich outbreaks have also gotten under control. So far, no fish losses or coral losses...bound to have a few though!

Like your scape. Should fill out nicely. You going to dose manganese for the Goni ?

I certainly wasn’t planning on dosing manganese for the Goni. I will definitely read up on it! I didn’t realize I should be dosing it. Any other tips I should study? What do you target feed them?

I don’t have Gonis. I’ve just been hearing that Gonis do better with elevated manganese levels. I was just curious.
      Enjoying your videos.

my conch disappeared and shows itself once a month, odd - maybe yours has an algae ball under it that grows as fast as it grows- tank is looking good-cheers

i noticed my conch snails get pretty lazy once they cant keep up with the algae . im pretty sure they just well fed and probably doesnt need to eat as much as when i intoduced them . maybe get 1-2 more conch snails so they can keep up with the algae and keep it at bay that way they stay hungry and working around the clock .

That comment about those ballasts is non sense! Many have those ballasts anywhere. There is no problem to put on the bottom of that stand. There is no difference actually between installing on the wood either way (side or bottom).

I may not have explained well. I think the recommendation was based on my ATO reservoir overflowing recently and if the ballasts were to get wet then issues could develop. I’m assuming having them on the side reduces likelihood of moisture from another ATO spill.

@@zburnreefing Not sure what happened with the ATO, but no ATO would be better than flot valve IMHO. Th only ATO I would consider using would be the Tunze, if it was extremely necessary. Float valve will last your life time and it will never fail if used accordingly!
