- The stock halogen halo bulbs on most of the BMW E60 5 series leave you with that less Ideal amber look. To give you a more modern look I will show you how to change these halogen bulbs to LED's. It's a little bit of a pain but should take less than an hour. I did break part of the connectors but managed to make it work. Hope you found this useful and thanks for watching!

Amazing Spiderman teaches you how to convert your headlights. Good job man, thanks a lot.
Haha thanks
Whenever I got new headlights for my BMW at LKQ Pick Your Part, it had already came with LED Angel Eyes and it woke my car up like crazy because my car has never looked so good
nice! I love the pick and pay junk yards, always a good deal
@@4WheelKid yes, especially considering that you pay $140 from the junkyard vs $700 elsewhere
Thanks for the video! Will be doing mine this week!
No problem! Best of luck, mine still work great
What was the name and brand of the after market bulb and didn’t show if it ended up throwing a code
Link in description, no codes or issues so far
Have an E60 myself. One of my rings just went out so maybe this is a good replacement. Also, what did you use to restore your headlights? I used a kit about 18 months ago and they are back to looking like total crap
Good idea, mine are still working great. Yeah that happens. I used meguiars headlight coating after sanding. Only works for about a year. I would re sand and use spray max 2k headlight clear coat next time
@@4WheelKid so does this also work for the larger halo on the outside? Or just the smaller one?
me too have 5 series 520 of 2007 and that bulb did not fit because i think that your lamp is non lci because in my case the led marker does not fit and what looks like your frame that holds that marker is out of plastic and mine is out of metal and there is not so much room so i could put my marker in do you have any suggestions? (sorry for the language, if i made mistakes)
oh yeah this is pre lci. unfortunatly I don't know how to replace that one unless I had the car. best of luck, may a video somewhere on the lci E60?
Does it flicker while off and cause any errors on the idrive?
It does not on mine, no issues whatsoever
So 1 bulb on each side powers up both rings or am I wrong ?
yeah 1 bulb does both rings, it's a light tube system
Would those LED lights put a warning message on Dash
Havnt on mine, no issues wirh these bulbs since I made this video
Wait I have a bmw e60 2008 . Does these fit? Only one led for each headlight makes 2 halos for each ? I’m confused .
2008 is LCI (post facelift) so it may be different than my 2007 either way 1 bulb lights both halos because it's a light tube system
it is good mate😊
thanks!
Amazing
Thanks
Where did you get the light bulbds
Link in description
Or just take the headlight out?! Much easier
You have to take the wheel well liners and bumper cover off to do that
@@4WheelKid No you don’t, I’ve taken the lights out before you just got to gently wiggle it out
@@4WheelKid no u don’t who the hell told u that💀
Agreed. It takes a while to learn to wiggle it in the first time, but once you get it down it's easy-peasy repeatable.
How long will these last tho
only 1 way to find out, so far no problems
What bulbs arr these bro ???
link in description. still working great
What's the name of the those lights you got
they are halo bmw halo replacement bulbs. link in the description
How did you refinish the lenses?
I used a 3m headlight restoration system and then meguiar's headlight coating. I couldn’t even see through the lenses when I first go the car. Was a night and day difference driving at night
Does one bulb work for the big ring and the small ring or just one?
works for both rings on the same light
Where did you find the LED replacement for the Halo?
Link in the description. Slightly different color housing but same thing
These fit 2008 528i??
I think so, is the 2008 LCI? (Face lift) could be different but best way to check is pull that cover off and see if the bulb looks the same
Ty for getting back with me bro I ordered sum off Amazon for my car.. appreciate it🤙🏽
@@Kaleeko no problem! Best of luck, mine are still working great no flickering or anything
0:39 scared the shit outta me
Hahaha
would have been easier if you just removed the headlight first. I'd also recommend you don't use this type of bulb as they are known to melt plastic from heat, their are better variants on the market.
Not really, you have to remove the from bumper cover and wheel liners before you can remove the headlights. These have worked great for me the factory bulbs will get hotter and these have big heat syncs
@@4WheelKid Not sure what model you have, the factory headlights on the E60/E61 lci or pre-lci remove easily without removing the bumper. From memory it's 5 screws on each.
@Alex J you are correct to remove the headlights u dont need to remove the bumper u need a long extension to reach the bottom bolts
@@YouberTuberNoober Yeah, I've had to take mine out 3 times for repair, refurb and wrapping. Never taken the bumper off before.
@@4WheelKid appreciate the video, but no to remove the headlights its removing 2 tops bolts, an loosening 2 bottom bolts, remove the back cover to access the bulbs, an then just wiggle the headlight out. No need to remove anything else. LCI in my case.
I still need help 😭😭😭 thought it was jst a plug n play
Dang it! Just take your time
Any codes brother?
Non so far, they still work great. Haven’t seen any flickering either
much easier when the headlight is taken out
so true but to remove the headlight you need to remove the front bumper cover BMW's
@@4WheelKid yeah but its still easier its easy to put backtogether
and what you do with errors
Haven’t had any
Lci?
Mine is pre LCI
A lot easier to simple remove the whole headlight
No you have to remove the whole wheel well liners and bumper cover to do that
@@4WheelKid Not true, it's 4 bolts, two on the top (remove them), two more below (just loosen them). Many TH-cam videos will show you how.
