Damn dude, that's wild what happened to you! But I am glad you are back to enjoying your hobbies man! DCS is so awesome and the F-4E is such a frigging game changer. It's such an incredible simulation.
Yeah it’s crazy shit haha. Thank you, me too!! And yeah bro DCS hits different and so does the F-4. It’s just on another level compared to every other module. It’s a huge vibe to fly
You know, Dive Toss was a graduate-level delivery in the F-4. "Let's Get Serious About Dive Toss" was the title of a USAF Fighter Weapons School graduate's thesis, which was published in the late 70's or early 80's. It seems so easy to do, but there's a lot to dial into the system like temperature, altimeter setting, basic target altitude (which gets acutely refined with a ground radar lock from the WSO), stable dive angle initially flown by the pilot, then the quality of the pilot's pull after pressing and holding the pickle button. It's easy to get the bomb off. It's difficult to do it well. BTW: I earned 2 wing Top Gun trophies for WSO Dive Toss. Now, let's talk radar laydowns.... 🙂
@@becauseifly3440 Hold on a minute, are you saying that you participated in the real Top Gun? I was watching the USAF Conventional Weapons Delivery Training Film yesterday. I found it on Periscope Films’ channel. It’s definitely a learning curve, but each time I practice I find it easier and more effective. I feel very lucky to be able to fly the F-4, even if it’s just in a sim. And it’s ended up being a pretty intuitive plane to fly, and certainly the best out of the DCS modules so far. I was able to knock out 5 airfield hangars last night with 5 Mk. 83s in a quick and easy fashion. Thanks for your comment!!!
@@FreeRangeLemon The "real" top gun? In the Navy, 'Top Gun' is what they call their fighter weapons school. In the USAF, winners of aerial gunnery and weapons delivery competitions get Top Gun trophies. These happen at the squadron, wing, or higher levels.
that sounds like such a wild situation to go through, wishing you the best and thanks for the video!
It was and has been pretty wild lol. Thank you for your comment!!
