I am from Weligama but currently not there. But you should definitely go and check Gurubebila jungle beach if you roaming around Weligama for a while. ( and there is a similar place like this in Thalpe and Galle too, but it is kinda popular and crowded and there is no jungle over there )

It really is hard to compare since they both are sooo different. I‘d say for longtime living in regards of wifi and restaurants and so on Bali, but for exploring and unique landscapes Sri Lanka is awesome!

You are from Germany? German people have been coming to Sri Lanka for holidays for many many years. Actually Germany considers Sri Lanka to be its main vacation spot for German citizens. Also german engineers have been helping Sri Lanka with engineering projects as well for a long time. They also like our Lion beer. Ice cream is expensive, I am surprised why it is.

It is a bit expensive 2.5-3 pounds per 1.5 litre on a deal. Only few people buy it because of the price, but it is available. Does not taste exactly similar to the fresh coconut but tastes good enough. King coconut is native to Sri Lanka, and I have not seen packed king coconut water in supermarkets yet.
Weligama loud was because of Sinhala New Year festival in Sri Lanka. Vendors in the town are advertising via those speakers like a radio. Thats why
