As far as I can see from the replays, Pedro knocks the ball past Saliba who then makes contact with his head, and not the ball. Am I missing something? If a player knocks the ball past the GK and contact is then made it's a clear penalty. How is this any different? Saliba was late.
Straight out penalty He hit him with a headbutt With no ball, what a dummy 😹 At first I thought like the rest no penalty. Then saw it the 3 times in slow motion Yep it is 👍🏻 Good job VAR
Wrighty is blinkered in his view. Saliba has clearly miss timed his challenge and caught the player in the head. He did not play the ball, the ball is headed by the attacker and brushes the top of Saliba’s head. If it was against Saliba’s hand people would say ball to hand. Saying that the challenge against Gordon is the same thing doesn’t mean that Saliba’s challenge shouldn’t be penalised. 2 wrongs don’t make a Wright 😉
Some biased opposition will say Arsenal like to moan. These complaints are not from nothing. Why does Arsenal always get unusual calls that changes the outcome of the game. When all these happens it takes away points and then these same biased oppositions will say Arsenal never wins anything. If you all have antagonists in your chosen career jobs would you make progress?
As a gooner, it doesnt matter if it was or wasnt a pen, we were poor, we've been poor all season, and no chance of a title. Liverpool, if they have some key men out for long periods might drop points, but everyone plays against liverpool like idiots and as open as possible. Teams sit back and dont play against Arsenal, Liverpool winning this season, but it has nothing to do with how good they are, and has eveything thing to do how badly the other teams are doing with injuries and the like.
Wright not getting the answer from Gallagher that he wanted. He wanted him to say the Toon incident was NOT a pen so he could moan they were robbed again. He wouldn’t give a shite if it was any other team
All blames go to arteta for team selection! In the first team -no Odergaard why? (Jorgino?),the manager should now understand every match is crucial for title challenge-No trials at all!!!!!
I love Wrighty, but what is he saying here. He thinks it's a penalty, and can't believe the inconsistency. Or does he not think either are penalties. I suspect the first, but you'll never hear him back a decision against Arsenal. It's the only thing that let's him down as a pundit.
On any other part of the pitch it's a foul taking out a player after the ball is gone, in the penalty area it's a penalty unless you want to play by arsenals which they make up as they go along , nothing new there .
Blame the incompetence and inconsistency of match officials in the EPL. When you mistime a tackle with any part of your body, it is a foul and if the foul happens in the penalty box, it is a penalty. BOTH incidents should have resulted in penalties.
Gordan's nose bleeding incident in box is a foul a penalty. VAR Darren England turned blind because arsenal is the main opponent main threat to Liverpool chasing title.
@zulkanainbaharuddin2185 that's an assumption too, he didn't say it was or wasn't a pen, he only said where's the consistency. Of course he'll complain I'd Brighton had won he's an Arsenal fan, you would expect that
Rat Gordon falling down when breathed upon by Kulu is not = to taking a head butt to the side of the head with a cross incoming. False equivalency by Wright. Unsurprising from many VARSENAL fans, who continue to exhibit epic level of deulsion
If when 2players clash heads in the middle of the park isn't a penalty and both of the benches are called to give them a medical care without any punishment for the aggressive party why should it be a punishment in the box
Both are penalties. Just because the one on Gordon wasn't called doesn't mean Saliba's one was supposed be ignored. The argument of "that one wasn't called off so this shouldn't be either" is just bullshit.

His tactics this season suit knock out football anyways.
2 comings together accidentally done.... I thought a foul was an incident done on purpose to gain an advantage? Or have the rules changed that much?
How can that be an foul ..how many times on a corner do 2 players go to head the ball and clash heads ? And not get a pen it's ridiculous!!!
I hear "using what we have to win games"🙆🙆🙆....can you get a new striker, winger n backup for no.10😔😔😔😔
Good on you Wrighty...The lack of consistency needs to be called out.
Does Arteta ever stop moaning?
Only to wash his hair.
@@exitthelemming145 And color his eyebrows
Spoiler alert: no
Is he living in your head tent free. When does he ALWAYS moan. Too many wet dreams lad. Gal. Whatever mixed muppet you are.
Do refs ever stop making bad decisions?
As far as I can see from the replays, Pedro knocks the ball past Saliba who then makes contact with his head, and not the ball. Am I missing something? If a player knocks the ball past the GK and contact is then made it's a clear penalty. How is this any different? Saliba was late.
Yeah your wrong saliba does get contact with the ball open your eyes
That means that your eyes are not working.
Exactly. That Arsenal defender was late. Could have seriously injured the Brighton attacker.
@@barneybernado1998 I've watched it back a few times. Pedro clearly nods the ball first, Saliba misses it and instead headbutts Pedro... Sorry...
Why is MA constantly moaning ffs He ought to be more humble & credit Brighton for a superior 2nd half display
Straight out penalty
He hit him with a headbutt
With no ball, what a dummy 😹
At first I thought like the rest no penalty. Then saw it the 3 times in slow motion
Yep it is 👍🏻
Good job VAR
Arteta Is jxt joking around with the title race.
It pains me to see partey as a right back. Our left back was not to par.
I'll have to watch it again, as I didn't see Saliba get the ball?!
Refs and VAR ruining the game! Lack of consistency!
Wright would have been praising the ref if it was the other way round 😅
Where’s the debate about the stonewall penalty for Arsenal in the first half..
Happened to Brighton last game against Villa. up in air weak leg clash. Late challenge. EWnd of. I ddn't like it, but a pen given. End of.
Saliba should’ve been sent off for that reckless challenge
I think it is not a penalty kick and the referee of the match is unfair 😢
That's possibly because you are less than impartial and also maybe slightly paranoid.
Lmao, Brighton deserves to win that game.
It’s actually come off salibas head first then the contact with Pedro.
This wasn’t a pen, not an arsenal fan. However on a selfish note it benefits my team so I’ll take it.
Talking about the Jorginho kicking out is laughable after vvd kicking Havertz twice in the league game
No firepower up front and an invisible midfield.
I love Wrighty, but what is he saying here. He thinks it's a penalty, and can't believe the inconsistency. Or does he not think either are penalties. I suspect the first, but you'll never hear him back a decision against Arsenal. It's the only thing that let's him down as a pundit.
A good result with injury every week playing a different side but probably not enough to catch the pool
What's the point of Dermot Gallagher if he never goes against the onfield decision.
Arsenal is just not good enough, the truth of the matter, not not good at all
second in the league ,with 9 points stolen easily ,yeah ,the are a bad team
wtf is that to do against Brighton, it was clearly match fixing
You cannot deny what's happening .
The fact that he says it's clearly not a penalty shows bias. Even if it's arguable, it's not clear that it's not a penalty.
Ian wright is just too biased
He speaks for all of us. This "expert" ref is clearly biased. No one seems to mention Saliba heads the ball before the heads clash.
He's not biased, something worse happened in Tottenham game and nothing was given. It's consistency we're talking about
What do you expect?.
If Brighton won he'll be really give the ref a scolding.😊😊😊
@zulkanainbaharuddin2185 that's an assumption too, he didn't say it was or wasn't a pen, he only said where's the consistency. Of course he'll complain I'd Brighton had won he's an Arsenal fan, you would expect that
Rat Gordon falling down when breathed upon by Kulu is not = to taking a head butt to the side of the head with a cross incoming.
False equivalency by Wright. Unsurprising from many VARSENAL fans, who continue to exhibit epic level of deulsion
Never a penalty and you will never see this given again anywhere..
Wright is frustrated because Arsenal has drawn. If Arsenal had won 2 -1, he won't complain.
