VAR more often than not comes to the right and just conclusion. The people that advocate getting rid of it will be the same people punching their TV when they concede a 95th minute goal to give the opposition the win that was offside but given because of human error. VAR is still quite young, it needs time to be improved, but getting rid of it is not wise imo.

A lot of these are just people interpreting the questions differently. Ronaldo is one of the T5 best players of all time, of course you pick him over Salah in a one-off game. Same applies when comparing Ronaldo to Henry. However when specifically asking about premier league legacy, Salah is above Ronaldo because of his longevity in the league. If it’s just ability, Suarez is above Henry. But it isn’t.
u were making a decent point until you claimed Suarez was above Henry in "ability". Henry was possibly the fastest ever player in PL history, with superior dribbling, vision and passing than Suarez with similar finishing ability. Henry STILL holds the single season assist record. Suarez was a world class striker. Henry was an all-round generational talent.
Actually surprised that people are disagreeing about the Suarez/Henry comment. It was a throw away tbh! Both are generational footballers, just assumed consensus holds Suarez a tier above. Personally for me he’s the best 9 of his generation and arguably the best of all time, up there with R9. I don’t see Henry as being quite at that same level and think most agree but happy to hear both sides. Both wonderful players!

For me VAR should be limited to 1 or 2 descision per team. Just like DRS system in Cricket. If Team A thinks that the referee descision is wrong, then they use the VAR. If refree is right, Team A looses one of its VAR. By implying this, football games are no longer over dependent on the technology.

Useless argument coz Salah has been getting love now that he is an all round less selfish player. He isn't just a goal scorer. Also I don't remember Shearer or Henry winning a European Trophy while in England.

Pep's 16 years of success at ready made teams should NEVER be spoken in the same breath as Fergie working Miracles at Aberdeen as well as turning United from a struggling mid-table team to a dominant Premier League force. What have United and Aberdeen won since Fergie left? Most managers would have succeeded at Barcelona with prime Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. The vast majority of managers would win Bundesliga with Bayern.
It was Pep's style of football that got the best out of Xavi & Iniesta, he's also the guy who decided to turn Messi into a False 9 and make him the focal point of the team. It sounds easy now in hindsight but at the time Messi was still young and had good but not incredible numbers, for instance CR7 and Rooney were considered bigger and better talents than Messi when Pep took over. Also Ferguson got a lot of his best players from his teams 'class of '92' much like Pep with La Masia. And remember if Pep decided to stay at Barcelona for his career with Messi you can only imagine how much more successful he would've been. Yes he only went to top team's but the fact is he did go around Europe and develop plenty of incredible players so at least in terms of the choice of staying at Barca with that core of players or going to Germany then England, you have to look at leaving Barca was the more difficult route. And yeah, 4 in a row is pretty wild as is his points tallies plus he also achieved a Treble.
What he did with aberdeen, no one can do that in today's game not only financially but tactically as well. Ur talking an era wherr fullham was winning the league like cmon 😂. SAF started fortunately well to win with aberdeen, but thats it? Just one trophy with aberdeen crosses over trebles at the top level of football with pressure? Not to mention pep dominated prime united that SAF "built" over years tactically. Whats better then, klopp what he did at liverpool or what he did at mainz. Salah’s better in the PL than Ronaldo. He literally came to Liverpool in his debut season and broke Ronaldo’s goalscoring record playing for a much worse team.

Pep is just better sorry
you will say all this about pep having better players then not include city players in all time XI
Besides no manager who wins with an avg ream will stay there not cuz they felt they deswrved it, but cuz they want to go on to bigger and better football, more quality game. Would klopp stay at a mid avg team like mainz, would mourinho stay with porto? Or would they both wanna move to big clubs with bigger games and more pressure to make a name for themselves. The point is pep doesnt need to go down the ladder to prove anything when hes won at tge top level of football. And btw before u bring money? Man u, arsenal and chelsea combined hv spent millions upon millions, even liverpool have spent money but city still win pl titles. Literally shows that jus cuz u hv a bug budget doesnt mean ur guranteed to win everything

It's no surprise what Pep achieved at City by inheriting a quality team with hundreds of millions to build on it however, Pep's highly unlikely to have the longevity as Sir Alex as it wouldn't surprise anybody if Pep packed management in within the next 2 years, similar to Klopp last season.

Arsenal supporter here. Absolute no debate. Ronaldo easily.
2:15 😂 the comeback
Now do one with the other 14 clubs
Cams cooked with that Shearer argument
Salah has already overtaken Ronaldo a while back lol as much people like to dismiss it because it doesn't suit their narrative, his stats prove this and also less games. Now obviously overall Ronaldo is the greater player but come on man give credit where its due even if it's against Ronaldo, this false narrative that Ronaldo had the highest peak in the league is ridiculous, Henry's 40G/A season, Suarez 13/14 and even Salah's first season where all arguably better or at the minimum the same. Because UTD dominated and its against Liverpool we like to misconstrue facts, Ronaldo was his best at Madrid and is undoubtedly one of the greatest but stop acting like he is untouchable. It's like saying Suarez deserves to be mentioned because of how good he was, where as Henry, Shearer, Aguero all deserve more than him.
07/08 Ronaldo is the absolute peak of any footballer in EPL history.Long range goals,In the box,Freekicks, Headers, Counterattacks,Dribbling....Salah doesn't have those varieties only Henry does although he didn't score headers and ghosts in finals.Overall Ronaldo achieved individually and as a team which the other two didn't.
@yohannesmisikir7056 you've obviously never watched Salah if you don't think he has variety lol and to call that Ronaldo the peak of Epl is factually incorrect by your own standards. As I've said, Suarez, Henry and Salah again going by your own standards have had similar if not better seasons with all the same types of goals, only thing ronaldo has over salah is free kicks because he doesn't take any, people only say Ronaldo with chest now because of what he did with Madrid. Even haaland for sheer goal scoring ability had such an insane season. We are talking strictly about the peak performance in the league so everything else is irrelevant, sure he achieved the League that season, so did Henry. Suarez and Salah still cannot be denied because of the incapable teams they had, it is a fallacy to suggest otherwise, context matters, Suarez also missed the first 6 games or so. I'm not saying take anything away from Ronaldo but others shouldn't be put down as well. The original point was Salah deserves every bit of mention over Ronaldo for his contribution, more individual awards than Ronaldo in the EPL as well and again peak its all very debatable when you look at the seasons unbiased and individually, literally there is no factual evidence you can provide that suggests otherwise. Outside of EPL it's not even a contest, we know what Ronaldo did mate.
@@rewster8530 Ronaldo scored 31 goals in 07/08 in the league and 14 in the CL.He won the league and CL in the sane year.He won every single individual award that year literally.Facts don't care about your feelings. I watch Salah almost every week.Tell me when has he ever scored a Freekick,A long range belter from 40 yards and A header? I'll wait.
@@yohannesmisikir7056 why do you keep bringing up UCL? and on top of it your wrong lmao he had 8 goals lol, you talk about facts dont care about feelings but yet ignore every other that counters your opinion and can't even provide an actual fact. Salah scored 32 goals and 10 in UCL lol , Suarez scored 31 with less games played and both had more assists with the playmaker award literally more goal contributions, Henry broke the assist record and had 20 goals on top of it, more goal contributions and as I said the only thing Ronaldo has is free kicks over Salah but how does that make him a better player in the league if Salah is STILL getting more goals lol. You haven't a clue of what you're talking about, again Salah has more individual awards than he does in the league in less time, so does Henry, Suarez as well for that season won all accolades for the league
@@yohannesmisikir7056Salah has all the traits that you just listed. However, the reason you don't seem him score free kicks in the Prem is because Trent is the main free kick taker. Yet he's scored free kicks for Egypt
Ferguson is a way better manager than Guardiola. Their only argument was losing the champions league, which is a very dumb argument.
How is it dumb? It's literally a head to head lol
@@brentleysadiki358 Because they're comparing one 2009 Champions League final loss that Man U had to all their other achievements. Winning the premier league is much harder than the Champions League, and Man U beat Barcelona in their first finals meeting in the 2008 Champions League final, so it's a silly argument considering that fact.
@@oliverorchard6774 first of all, you're incorrect, man u lost to Barcelona twice in the champions league final. The first in Rome they lost 2 nil in 2009 and the second in Wembley they lost 3-1 where the absolutely got dominated like no team has ever been in a champions league final. Like seriously it was men against boys.
Lastly, when United beat Barca in 2008, pep Guardiola was not the manager it was Frank rijkard, so if anything that actually shows how elite of a managerial Pep is
salah is arguably the best premier league player of all time after this recent form 🤷🏽♂️
Nobody is better than Henry was in his pomp as far as the PL goes, whatever the stats say. The eye test has it.
i humbly disagree, i do not deny that this is a ballon dor worthy season from salah and quite literally the best individual season in premier league history but i cannot forget the past 10 or so years where kdb has been the best player in the league ever since he dropped in from wolfsburg

KDB is so much better and henry

i'll never understand bringing up trophies for player debates they didn't win them alone they won it with 10 men alongside them
Mo Salah over Ronaldo for me. Obviously, I'm biased. But if you have Ronaldo, you have to play a certain way to win with him. Whereas Salah can fit in just about anywhere that isn't a defensive position and impact the game in winning ways.
Your comparing The 2nd Greatest player of all time🇵🇹🐐 to... Who?...
@MJ6399-v8c The actual 2nd-greatest player of all time. Ronaldo did it for far less time than Salah, did it in one position, and had to play a certain way to ensure success. Give me the guy who works for the team long after his legs are gone, which is Mohamed Salah. He's also not a rapist like Ronaldo, so there's that.
First question is crazy! I'd rather win the league every year than come fifth regardless of playing style 🤣the two Lozzes are bonkers.
It said win a trophy, you could win the Caraboa Cup every year playing boring football, no league or UCL
@@nmz3450 winning that is better than winning nothing.
Ronaldo actually spent 90% of his career on the left which is an argument no one mentioned lol
Ronaldo on the left, Henry in the middle, Salah on the right. This is how anyone needs to respond to any of these debates.
Henry in the middle? Stop.
I agree with Jamie Carragher on this. Keep VAR, but tweak it a fair bit.
Salah clears ronaldo
in the prem defo.

Nothing brings people together like an England tournament run. Watching England last summer in the beer gardens full of people was such a fantastic experience.
Won't get that for a Club team. Take Eng Trophy any day!

In the Ferguson vs Pep debate I can't believe there was no mention of Ferguson's stint at Aberdeen. Interrupting the dominance of Rangers and Celtic AND winning the European Cup Winners Cup after beating the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern with Aberdeen is insane.
There's no way you can say with a straight face that Pep could've achieved that with that standard of team given how much he's struggled to cope with losing only Rodri.
Recency bias is crazy
on what question? 🤔
@luisarguelles3020 pretty much all of them tbh
Cant be nostalgic all the time
The intro was crazyyyy
pep never inherited a great team at barca. that barca side finished 18 points off league winners real madrid that season, they were on the cusp of europa league football. go check the table. in the manner of one season, guardiola took a europa league standard side and made them the best team in the world and won everything. not to mention, pep made bold decisions in selling ronaldinho and deco who were past it. barca never achieved the heights of the success they achieved under pep ever since pep departed. atleast on a consistent basis.
16:10 in '09 Barca had 35 yo Sylinho at left back, Puyol playing right back, and Yaya Toure playing center back. Cams is only mentioning 39 yo Ryan Giggs, but both teams had advantages.

The only thing Ronaldo has on Salah in the prem is the ballon d'or. If Salah wins this year then he is clear of Ronaldos prem legacy.
No
The final point he made about Fergy making average teams elite level was really good.
I was in the Pep camp to start with, but I would've moved over. Fergy is the GOAT.
And you can't compare Ronaldo to Salah. Sorry, Ronaldo all day long. His stats and impact on the game are unmatched. Only rivalled by Messi. People forget about other RWs, Salah in the top 5 for me.
Loz is unbearable I swear
Ronaldo has Salah in goal scoring in the premier league? Salah literally has more goals and already has 1 season where he scored more in the league than Ronaldo, in fact, when he did it, he set the record for most goals in a season, only broken by Haaland's lunatic year. AND he has a better goal/game ratio than Ronaldo. Oh and he looks incredible this year and he's the odds on favourite for the Ballon d'Or so we'll see about how much strong that argument of theirs is by years end.

I forgot how good Buvey is at winding people up and committing to it 100%. Even the timing of it is impeccable, he'll see you making a good point and so he'll say something so blatantly disingenuous and annoying that you can't stop yourself from abandoning your point and going in on this new one. And he'll KEEP doing that until he says something you struggle to argue against and then he'll TRIPLE DOWN on that and rub it in and get as obnoxious as possible about it. It's brutal. I'm amazed he hasn't had his face smashed in. Oh and it's all an act, if you watch his YT channel you'll see he actually does have real and fair opinions on other teams and will give plenty of credit to them as well. He just trolls because he enjoys it and he's good at it.
From an opposition defenders point of view, would they rather play against Mo Salah or Cristiano Ronaldo? I suspect them defenders would much rather play against Salah because he's by far the lesser of 2 evils as Ronaldo would be much harder to play against because CR7 can play anywhere across the front 3 and is bigger, stronger, faster as well as technically superior to Salah.
