    Highlights of the bike: it handles extremely well and the stock suspension worked great around the bumpy COTA. Auto-blipper shifter was awesome even mid corner with throttle open. Also, if I had more track, I'm sure I'd surpass 150 mph easily, I'm also a bit large for top speed tests. What else would you guys like to see up close of this bike?? I'll be with Aprilia again this Monday. :)

    By it's price the RS660 is competing with the MT-09 and Street Triple RS, both of which are much more powerful, it has only 99 BHP at the crank (equating to roughly 85 bhp at the rear wheel) were the MT-09 has 116bhp and the RS 121bhp, a massive gap.

      I concur.... it's over priced for what it is. I don't think it'll be the sales hit Aprilia desire as it's too niche.

    Thanks for the video, was waiting for a video on its track performance. For a parallel twin powerplant, engine sound is amazing and different from generic in-line 4 600s. I think 100hp from a twin is amazing too. What do you reckon its 0 to 60mph time would be?

    This is a weird bike because it seems to be categorized way above the Ninja 650 and slightly above the CBR650R, but is priced closer to the ZX-6R and R6. If I didn't know how good the CBR650R engine could be with an exhaust and tune, I'd probably be swayed by the RS660. As it is, if I we're going for a track bike that might see street use, I'd go with the ZX-6R. Since I ride mostly street, I'd take the CBR650R and install an exhaust and reflash the ECU.

    Thanks for the video on track and 1 subscribe (European presentation of the bike was made on road with 5 degrés celcius so the sport aspect couldn't be revealed..)
    I am really interested in this bike because I do 6 to 10 tracks days per year and I go to work with. I will follow your update.
    I ride a 890 Duke r and I'm wondering if I will change or not. The riding position might be better while the power is less than the ktm. The ktm engine 890 cc is absolutely fantastic and expressive!!
    I'm considering how to loose weight and optimize the power with remap ecu.
    My question would be about brakes and chassis. Does it seem "enough" as a confirmed rider or will I use 100% of these parts. Isn't it too much road & track compromised?

    • @Victor_Moto
      @Victor_Moto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different class of bike. The RS 660 is a more comfortable bike yet still performs really well whether it's on the track or the street. It is much more user friendly than the ZX6R and much better electronics. But the ZX6R is a little faster if you have the skill.

    • @MyMednas
      @MyMednas 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The ZX6R has a much smoother engine (4 cylinder vs parallel twin), 30% more horsepower and a more racey riding position. If you like riding a sports bike on twisty roads, the clip on bars of the ZX6R are much better. The RS660 has higher bars. If you aren't used to sports bikes you'll probably be fine with them, but the high bars drive me nuts. I haven't ridden an RS660, but I wouldn't even contemplate swapping my 2019 ZX6R for one.
      Personally, I hate parallel twins. They sound rough and don't rev. Yuck. Big V twins all day long, but little parallel twins, no thanks.

    • @Victor_Moto
      @Victor_Moto  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want a more comfortable, SLIGHTLY punchier naked bike, get the Street Triple R. If you want the best electronics/rider aids package (safest), best looking (important imo), occasional track day and great commuter for only $500 more, get the RS 660.

  • @robertos4172

    It will probably be as expensive as the R6 and it's competitors, but is that relevant? This weighs at least 40 lbs less than a R6, and on B roads which will be the quicker bike? The RS660 is for pansies who want to look cool on a sport bike on public roads which is easily replaced with a Husqvarna Vidpillen 701, unless you use the Autobahn and the Nürburgring. ;)
