I didn't think I liked the choice of color for the missiles. but after a while, it really grew on me. that sandy/dusty brown seems to contrast REALLY well with the dark inner frame around them. Awesome paint job and great review. Thanks, Henry!
Your painting feels like it just keeps getting cleaner and more vibrant. I really like the color you decided to paint the missiles~ Fantastic job once again vegeta :3 awesome as always.
My first kit ever was a 1/144 Heavyarms when Gundam Wing just came out in the U.S and of course it looked terrible with my inexperience with Gunpla. Besides the nostalgia factor, this MG looks absolutely awesome and the accessories bundled with this kit makes me want to pick this up immediately.
man it looks like a great kit. have to agree looks like the best kit out of the EW line up. i have all 5 still in the box but going to start with Heavyarms first. great review, great paint job. and yes thansk for showing all 5 together man it look awesome.
Not too mention in Endless Waltz, there's a scene where a bunch of spent shells fall to the ground from Heavy Arms. Meaning it wouldn't be using a beam gatling, it would be using actual black powder (or other explosive component) rounds.
I saw you painted the inside of that shield. Its been bugging me as well- I think I will do that. I also LOVE the silver you painted on the "beam gattling gun" barrels, I think I'll do that on mine too. Love your paint job. -Rob
Aww, in the group shot he got to stand next to his boyfriend Sandrock! Kidding aside, this is an amazing kit, outside of the trouble with the gatling holding hand, and your paint job took it to a whole new level of quality.
It might have been a beam gatling in the TV show. That would explain why he had so much ammo but no giant magazine. I remember the hidden beam saber, it was when Heero was using Heavy Arms to fight Zechs. Either way I like this model kit. Love the color scheme and it's well put together.
Hey Henry! I hope you're planning on picking up the MG Heavyarms Custom at some point as well as MG Altron EW. Your videos are my biggest inspiration for building my own collection. I really hope to see a completed glory shot from you of all the EW suits (when Bandai eventually releases a Sandrock Custom). I just ordered a Tallgeese III and Heavyarms Custom to add to my Wing Zero Custom and Altron. Once I get those done I'll move on to Deathsythe Hell. Thanks again for always making such beautiful kits and helping to inspire fellow builders around the world :)
Just picked mine up today. Won't look as good as yours though, but I am going to paint the missiles and the guns in the chest silver so I can display them open!
I painted myn the same way he did his but I also painted the inner frame gun metal grey and did silver for the missiles. I used Tamiya spray cans metallic red, gun metal grey, pearl white, brilliant orange, and Matt black for the beam gatling gun with silver for the barrels
After seeing all 5 together, I wish Sunrise would do the Gundam Wing openings with the Hajime Katoki Gundam designs. Great job on this. The orange torso also bugged me so I'm glad I wasn't the only one. Hope to seeing more of your work.
Damn dude. I have to say this kit comes with alot of weapons to make it worth the price. And Ive always liked the Heavyarms. It was my 2nd fav Gundam from the show. I might consider getting this kit when next I catch it in my local hobby store. Has great potential.
@suiton629 Rehashes offer variety and opportunity for different modifications. Granted the MG Wing Zero frame is old, but the need to re-release a MG Gundam Wing EW just to do with the other MG EWs didn't really warrant Bandai to redesign the model just to fit onto the new MG Wing TV frame, and u surely don't have to buy them if you find it pointless, just like how I find buying both a MG Exia and a MG Exia Repair is a bit pointless
Beautiful paint job Sir. Did the removal of the seam line on the gathling gun create any issues when painting the weapon (especially masking the barrels) I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of this model, I'll take particular care when painting the chest joints and side skirts. I wonder will we see a MG Tallgeese release this year?
I know this is an old video but man I love your reviews, your paint skills are on point, thanks for the videos, keep up the good work and you earned a new subscriber!
I don't suppose you wanted to try applying the XXG-01H decal onto the leg? I wouldn't blame you if you didn't - sometimes I think Katoki doesn't think everything through regarding decal placement, especially when Bandai's not releasing any waterslides for the foreseeable future. Still, awesome paint job! What kind of metallic did you use for the missles? What makes me so happy about the kit is that it has all those great features you've elaborated on, for just 3800 Yen. A great value!
12:07 most epic Gundam Wing shot of the main 5 mobile unites. Please do a video montage with the gundam model kits in epic poses with the anime themes/music playing.
I have a question. Did you individually paint the pieces for the connector of the chain? I wanted to ask that because I am painting my Heavyarms but I don't know if I should paint the pieces on the bendable plastic of individually.
where is the best place to buy Gunpla? Your videos have convinced me to buy all 5 EW Ver. Ka gundams along with the Sinanju, Unicorn, and Epyon? and maybe the RX 79 and EZ 79??!
In the EW Manga his knife is the back od his arm just like the anime. I dont know why they decided to make it a seperate attachment, on the side of the arm, in this MG.
Been wondering, what kind of topcoat are you using? Sometimes I find my topcoat doesn't protect against any scratching at all but yours always seem to hold up just fine from the reviews.
@melvinthedeathless thanks for the reply, hehehe havent had an MG kit before, just HG and what not, just lazy and don't have my building kit with me, i thought since its a ver.ka. it would be like my knightmare frames. Anyways, thanks for the info. H-Arms is my fave along with D scythe and Sandrock!. awesome kits.
Because this is supposed to be the first version Trowa gets, think of when the TV series started but different design. Remember when Heavyarms gets upgraded later in the series? Well think of that as the version that appeared in Endless Waltz.
How do you paint your models? I'm now starting to collect gundam models againe and would like some tips from a master like you. Ps this model going to be the first in my collection
henry could u help me out? ive beeen a fan of ur work since who knows when but im just starting to actually paint and perfect each kit i make. I am working with spray paint as i can not afford a sir brush and want any tips u can offer. I remeber back when u sprayed, they came out flawless and not chunky. Got any tips?
vegeta... would you ever consider building (scratch or donor) a heavyarms Igel to add to this kit? I want to, but I want to know how to go about it... do you just get the dengeki hobby spread and do it by eye...? or are the somekind of blueprints out there?
hey vageta8259 i have a two questions. do you sand your kits and primer before you paint? with the top coat you use does the paint scratch off of each other when you move the joints of the kit?
Hello Henry, I was wondering how you went about painting the grey on the insides of the leg missile pods. It's been giving me some difficulty. I appreciate any advice you can give.
I know this is old, but when you paint, you use an air brush correct? Im new to gunpla and love these custom paint jobs compared to the dull plastic used on the kits. Any pointers or suggestions when getting started?
how do you do that painting effect? it doesnt look straight white on the entire piece. it has like a smokey effect? on the white it's like blue/grey on the white
Cool painting job. I hate the swapping finger hand. It make the change weapon hard like forever. And we have no way to change their holding position. Why they don't give exchangeable holding hand or just use master grade hand of MG Nu Gundam ver Ka which is very flexible and solid?
thanks for the reviews it helps a lot to us...i hope you will not get tired doing such a great review.. :) advance merry xmas and a happy new year to you and to your family,.. god bless vegeta8259...may the force be with you... :)
Great work as always. But, for some reason, I'm not as impressed with this one as some of your other paint jobs. It might be just the paint scheme, but it just seems like you were going through the motions with this one.
+MultiShaun1989 Some parts are, but usually only on a per-series basis. Example being that some gundam seed models had backpacks (strikerpack) that could be switched around. Usually the hands of the modern(ish) kits have a certain shape and weapons are made to fit those hands (they have a small peg). As such kits with different hand types cannot switch out weapons! please be aware of this, as well as the fact that due to improving engineering, many kits cannot really switch out parts like complete limbs!
hey henry, a friend gave me a heavyarms recently and i want to paint the missiles with that same color... may i know what color did you use for that? i usually use tamiya since it's the brand available in the nearest hobby shop i usually go... thanks!
Love the colors on the missiles. I was thinking about making mine red or a bright orange. Going to reconsider it now.
@vegeta8259 yup. they are beam gatlings. the beams were yellow so many people assume it to be live ammo

This is the perfect Gundam for Rambo!
Right for Rambo,left for Terminator
Not too mention in Endless Waltz, there's a scene where a bunch of spent shells fall to the ground from Heavy Arms. Meaning it wouldn't be using a beam gatling, it would be using actual black powder (or other explosive component) rounds.
I always love your color schemes unlike some youtubers who paint their kits neon red or something. The copper color for the missiles looks great!
I like this modifying painted with red to the torso and shoulders. Really nice!
I saw you painted the inside of that shield. Its been bugging me as well- I think I will do that. I also LOVE the silver you painted on the "beam gattling gun" barrels, I think I'll do that on mine too. Love your paint job. -Rob
Beautiful work of art! I truly enjoy your paint jobs Henry! keep up the good work!
Aww, in the group shot he got to stand next to his boyfriend Sandrock!
Kidding aside, this is an amazing kit, outside of the trouble with the gatling holding hand, and your paint job took it to a whole new level of quality.
Your paint jobs on these EW kits are amazing!
Beautiful mode kit! As usual, I like what you did with the paint.
@greyphantom1000 Even in the anime, the gatling guns are beam gatling guns. In Gundam Wing, beams are usually yellow/orange, excluding beam sabers.
It might have been a beam gatling in the TV show. That would explain why he had so much ammo but no giant magazine. I remember the hidden beam saber, it was when Heero was using Heavy Arms to fight Zechs. Either way I like this model kit. Love the color scheme and it's well put together.
@xaayer The 4 flip out containers on the shoulders, they have 7 each instead of 8 like the central one...
this is the review that ignited my interest in learning to paint my kits
Hey Henry! I hope you're planning on picking up the MG Heavyarms Custom at some point as well as MG Altron EW. Your videos are my biggest inspiration for building my own collection. Just picked mine up today. Won't look as good as yours though, but I am going to paint the missiles and the guns in the chest silver so I can display them open!
as always henry im left in aw at how amazing the paint job is very well done my friend
this was the gundam that got me into the franchise and gunpla. what drew me in was the arsenal Heavyarms had lol
I painted myn the same way he did his but I also painted the inner frame gun metal grey and did silver for the missiles. I used Tamiya spray cans metallic red, gun metal grey, pearl white, brilliant orange, and Matt black for the beam gatling gun with silver for the barrels

You made awesome job with that paint job as usual.
Love this kit. Heavy Arms was always my favourite suit in wing.
As always, beautifully painted. Nick work!
hey vegeta i think you should cut the peg that goes in for the chest gatling gun at a 45 degree angle it will help with the friction
Damn dude. I have to say this kit comes with alot of weapons to make it worth the price. And Ive always liked the Heavyarms. It was my 2nd fav Gundam from the show. I might consider getting this kit when next I catch it in my local hobby store. Has great potential.
Possibly THE coolest MS I've ever seen (but damn is it a tough competition)
@suiton629 Rehashes offer variety and opportunity for different modifications. as expected. great painted build from vegeta8259
great job on the kit, think i might buy another one just to paint now
@vegeta8259 Im just saying those are all good kits. I own the same MGs plus others. All very solid kits.
If this kit ever gets a Real Grade release, it will be interesting to see how they engineer it at a smaller scale
Beautiful paint job Sir. Did the removal of the seam line on the gathling gun create any issues when painting the weapon (especially masking the barrels)
I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of this model, I'll take particular care when painting the chest joints and side skirts.
I wonder will we see a MG Tallgeese release this year?
Damn it like a 1/100 PG really well done model kit
This is going to be my first mg that or the unicorn full armor.
@suiton629 thats why bandai made mg wing gundam tv version.
@lockonOO
The inner frames needs assembly; don't worry, it ain't complex, MG grades are (mostly) newb friendly.
@vegeta8259 Now for the upgrapes :) I think altron is next
I know this is an old video but man I love your reviews, your paint skills are on point, thanks for the videos, keep up the good work and you earned a new subscriber!
oh vegeta, always showing off your painting skills :D
I don't suppose you wanted to try applying the XXG-01H decal onto the leg? I wouldn't blame you if you didn't - sometimes I think Katoki doesn't think everything through regarding decal placement, especially when Bandai's not releasing any waterslides for the foreseeable future.

I'm surprised there was no pun when you were talking about modifying the arm for the boey knife, shouldve said "I just decided to... wing it"
I got to watch your tutorials, your Shenlong looks awesome!!!
just got my heavyarms! great review. what kind of color paint did you for your missiles? thanks.
I have a question. Did you individually paint the pieces for the connector of the chain? I wanted to ask that because I am painting my Heavyarms but I don't know if I should paint the pieces on the bendable plastic of individually.
Seeing that much firepower loaded onto just one mech makes me starting laughing like a maniac.
where is the best place to buy Gunpla? Your videos have convinced me to buy all 5 EW Ver. Ka gundams along with the Sinanju, Unicorn, and Epyon? and maybe the RX 79 and EZ 79??!
In the EW Manga his knife is the back od his arm just like the anime. I dont know why they decided to make it a seperate attachment, on the side of the arm, in this MG.
Looks great! You mentioned using "standard colors". Do you have those documented on one of your sites?
Been wondering, what kind of topcoat are you using? Sometimes I find my topcoat doesn't protect against any scratching at all but yours always seem to hold up just fine from the reviews.
@melvinthedeathless thanks for the reply, hehehe havent had an MG kit before, just HG and what not, just lazy and don't have my building kit with me,

Couldn't you just switch the Right and left forearms to get the combat knife underneath (though the shield will be underneath the left arm too).
12:08 epic shot of all the kits!
an edition with optional clear armor would be great for this
how do you paint? air brush/ spray paint/ hand brush? because your painting is amazing and i really want to make my models look as good as yours
do you think we would still get a MG version of all the EW custom? i mean the deathscythe hell custom is out.
How do you paint your models? I'm now starting to collect gundam models againe and would like some tips from a master like you. Ps this model going to be the first in my collection
henry could u help me out? ive beeen a fan of ur work since who knows when but im just starting to actually paint and perfect each kit i make. whats the missile colour u using ? can u please share me? please.. tqtq
you do amazing paint jobs. i would by this but i know i would screw up on the paint job
hey vageta8259 i have a two questions.
do you sand your kits and primer before you paint?
with the top coat you use does the paint scratch off of each other when you move the joints of the kit?
@bad71495 it says beam on the box.... and THIS version was never in the anime....
sorry to be asking so many questions but i really want to learn how to be good at this. Do you primer your figures before painting them?
Hello Henry,
I was wondering how you went about painting the grey on the insides of the leg missile pods. It's been giving me some difficulty. I appreciate any advice you can give.
man vegeta ilve ur work on the white and red, how did you paint them cuz i also one wana paint a heavy arms
What paint did you use for the barrels of the gatling gun. It looks great.
Awesome Job man, any Tips on Painting this kit? did you paint it with an Airbrush?
I know this is old, but when you paint, you use an air brush correct?
Im new to gunpla and love these custom paint jobs compared to the dull plastic used on the kits.
Any pointers or suggestions when getting started?
Yeah, for sure. The way they switched the designs for Endless Waltz was a little weird haha.
how do you do that painting effect? it doesnt look straight white on the entire piece. it has like a smokey effect? on the white it's like blue/grey on the white
Can you do a video of your whole collection? That would be awesome.
Hello. Can you add tutorials on how you paint or use gundam marker for your Heavyarms. TIA 👌
sir what color did you used on the missiles??
Cool painting job. I hate the swapping finger hand. It make the change weapon hard like forever. And we have no way to change their holding position. Why they don't give exchangeable holding hand or just use master grade hand of MG Nu Gundam ver Ka which is very flexible and solid?
they're too big for gundam wing kits.
It's official this going to be my 2nd MG that I pick up
just a question, in the MG series of these kits do you assemble the inner frames too? or are they pre assembled already?
Awesome Job Bro!!!! You should make a Prometheus using this as a base and scratch building the otherwise needed parts
Cool I like it ..that's why they named it heavyarm so many missile and rocket
It's technically a Gatling gun. Not a beam. In the anime it was shooting out live ammo.
This kit is total badass I had mine earlier it rocks
GOOD LORD that shot at the 12:00 minute mark is GORGEOUS.. How many collective hours would you say is staring back at us?
Great job on kit. I gad to watch your vid to figure out how to pose heavyarms lol
Maybe its like a capacitor. A particle condenser.
Did you paint the gatling gun barrels? If so, can you please let me know what specific color did you use?
Thanks! Very nice work btw :)
thanks for the reviews it helps a lot to us...i hope you will not get tired doing such a great review.. :) advance merry xmas and a happy new year to you and to your family,.. god bless vegeta8259...may the force be with you... :)
Great work as always. But, for some reason, I'm not as impressed with this one as some of your other paint jobs. It might be just the paint scheme, but it just seems like you were going through the motions with this one.
didn't realise these were model kits :/
are parts interchangeable? can the gatling gun go on a different model?
+MultiShaun1989 Some parts are, but usually only on a per-series basis. Example being that some gundam seed models had backpacks (strikerpack) that could be switched around. Usually the hands of the modern(ish) kits have a certain shape and weapons are made to fit those hands (they have a small peg). for the beam saber i rlly dont bame them...its supposed to come from wing anyway
@Sephiroth0X ...where would you put them??
beauty of a kit!
hey henry, a friend gave me a heavyarms recently and i want to paint the missiles with that same color... may i know what color did you use for that? i usually use tamiya since it's the brand available in the nearest hobby shop i usually go... thanks!
did you use spray paint for the red colors for your kit?
@vegeta8259 wow@@' wat color would u suggest to used then if i want something close to bronze?
