Very nice giveaway package! Thanks TackleShare! Hope you all are doing great! I'm 63 and was introduced to fishing by my stepdad at 6 yrs old. Started off with bobbers and worms and worked my way up from a cane pole to baitcasters and spinning reels using artificial baits. Love to fish every chance I get, even still today. Appreciate you all!

Fishing since your childhood is an awesome feeling and getting back to that happiness is the best thing 🤩. Fishing was just a hobby for me when I was a child who lived in a tiny village with a lot of backwaters. When the monsoon comes, all our playgrounds will become a fishing spot and that was the only sport we can do at that time.
Now at this point, fishing is not just a hobby but it’s a part of my life 🤩❤️

My hubby, he's always loved fishing when he was younger and when we look at renting a cottage for a week in the summer, he's more concerned about the fishing than the accommodations.... It's a great bonding experience for all ages.

My grandfather use to take me fishing as a young kid but we would only troll and I didnt learn much. Now he's very old and I took responsibility of the old aluminum boat and that ignited a passion to make sure I learn everything properly so I can teach my own kids all the ins and outs. Thank you Shimano for sponsoring.

The first person to take me fishing with my father . He took me when I was just a toddler and we’ve spent thousands of hours on the water together. Unfortunately, that’s no longer possible but reminiscing together, and sharing my fishing adventures with him always brings a smile to his face.

My brother and I used to fish off my grandparents dock all summer catching panfish. I also remember my dad and grandfather taking me fishing in our tin boat with a one-way motor in the evening. They always had to row home in the failing light. But I'll never forget how that fresh pan-fried walleye or bass in flour and butter tasted before we headed off to bed.

I became interested in fishing through a neighborhood friend at around age ten who was completely passionate about angling. We had both a nearby creek and river that was only a twenty minute walk and I was hooked as it was always an adventure. At the age of ten he was already talking about what various fish species like to eat (insects) and what lures are best. His enthusiasm was contagious and before I knew it we became angling buddies and this led to canoe tripping, backpacking and the need to always carry along my fishing gear.

At 18 yrs old I got involved in EMS and began working 7 days a week to help ensure our community had service. In 2011 I moved into administration and started working even more hours, about 2000 hrs a year in overtime on top of my regular 2000 hours a year and sure enough, within 4 years, dropped dead (literally) at the age of 44. Thanks to some really great CPR, about 8 shocks on the defib and having my heart paced for about a dozen hours, I'm still here today (9 years later).
The reason I got involved in fishing was the fact that as my heart was stopping I held my kids hands and only wanted more time with them. When I got the second chance, I took up fishing and have taken every chance I can to take them out on my adventures, away from cell service, to simply spend time with them before they get too old to say no :)
Second chances are rare, fishing has been my way to spend more time with my kids.
