- Penacony arc really was an emotional roller-coaster ride. Remember that Shaoji told us it's a "heartwarming story", Misha is "just a bellboy" and Gallagher being the "most ordinary person in Penacony".

Sunday wants an endless dream where no one could be harmed: a paradise. Robin's answer to this is Freedom from the Order, symbolized by the Astral Express. "The wheels are spinning across the plains in valleys deep to dawn: the wheels that sing an unending dream." She believes in a future where we can all claim our fate and attain our own happiness: that is her endless dream---a paradise.
Sunday faced the darkness of the world, and that the strong would always win over the weak. He firmly believes that evil will always prevail and that this world is shrouded in darkness. To this, Robin replies that the world is never set in stone, that our future is always changing, and that the world isn't just in darkness. "Heads up! Essentially, "Hope is a thing with feathers" is Robin's answer to Sunday's own answer. Where Sunday favored control and stagnation to protect the weak, Robin sang of a train that races across the plains and the wheels of a clock that forever ticks forward to the future. Where Sunday hides in cowardice, Robin sings to face it like a train that runs across the plains until the shadows cannot catch up.
It's the antithesis of Sunday's entire philosophy. It's even more emphasized in the lyrics. Sunday always speaks of him being the "ONE" and "ONLY" sun in the sky. Meanwhile, Robin's song is sung in the plural "WE."
He is the Order, and she is the Harmony.

Trailblazer, during the earlier parts on the story takes out the Bat curio when threatened but after firefly's "death" she uses the Lance more often. Kind of a nod to their character development of protecting the others
She dropped the bat, wasn't as fast as the "rocket-powered" lance 🫢

Also XIpes eyes are OPEN when she notices the traveler and Sunday facing off. Her art before that they were closed like she is sleeping.. She was FULLY WATCHING the outcome of ENA trying to come back to life. SHE WAS AWAKE.
Uh, it's "Trailblazer", not "Traveler". "Traveler" is Genshin's protag. "Trailblazer" is Star Rail's protag. And "Dreamseeker" is Honkai Impact 3rd main story part 2's protag.

The final straw was when Gallagher said "For the imperfect tomorrow". Bro I ugly cried.

Now that you tell me that; it does look like Sam's grip looked "innocent" or "help" like. It just FEELS like the hand formation just is SAM wanting to protect TB, a gentle and steady form; ready to protect what they love. It doesn't look or feel malicious, it just looks peaceful with no malicious intent.

projest stigma but with refined and polished story telling that is penacony, they even use many many sountrack and refrence from HI3 in this one, this reason why saoji tell us that from some of you who folow us from a long time the story of penacony will give a familliar feeling
kudos to Shaoji's team! he did reveal in the stream that it's gonna be "positive, wholesome & heartwarming", but they brought us through a whole roller coaster ride of emotions to get there
And abit of the "Theater of Domination" arc too. With the whole theater stage thing, puppets being present in some way. At least we don't have to fight through puppets to get to the boss, and the boss not having any malicious intent. Herrscher of Domination preyed on the weak's insecurity and pains for it's own benefit. Sunday, although serving the role of a villain, he harbored no evil intent. He was merely misguided by his own desire to stop people's suffering, and was willing to sacrifice people's free will to eliminate that suffering. A certain villain of an unrelated game also had a similar mindset to end people's suffering, and was willing for any price to be paid to eliminate that suffering. Though in that villain's case, he was trying to erase the negative emotions in people to reach that goal, no matter the price anyone had to pay to reach that desired conclusion.
Fr! I was just going ‘this is about the birds again isn’t it it’s about the birds’, got major flashback to Kevin and project stigma the whole time
dude i felt like the whole of penacony, and especially this patch, was a nod to HI3. as you stated, we got the soundtracks/OSTs during those final acheron dialogues, along with the dream aspect of project stigma (adam's dream i believe?). yet we also got the Acheron name reveal being Raiden Mei, and her trailer had those swords corresponding to herrscher powers, in their respective orders of appearance too. plus that lament of the fallen reference right before the final bossfight, and like the guy above me mentioned, the Herrscher of Domination reference too. oh and this may be just a personal thing, but firefly's splash art reminds me of the first complete transformation into Herrscher of Flamescion during "Everlasting flames", when Kiana was flying and held the sword in front of her, and i believe she had flames blowing out from her (kinda hard to explain, my b). but yeah, so many HI3 references that make me so excited to see where the story goes, along with seeing how it becomes a true honkai game with the possible honkai energy and all that

I really like you include this cutscene and her "woah vocals" on 0:00-0:30 as intro to her song before the actual start of the song ( i really wish those "woah" vocals was on the official since its a really good start ) and adding those quotes on 2:47 - 3:16 as well.

Im so mad that they dont include the voice lines for the train on Sunday's bossfight anymore that shit was as great when paired with the music,
and I def hope to hear more of Robin/Chevy if they are gonna keep using robin in the future
Doing Sunday's boss fight made me remember why I love this game. For me the first major moment that I fell in love with the game was Cocolia's boss fight. hearing the beat drop of Wildfire and feeling the sparks of the preservation's flames rekindling showing the will of Belobog's people. Their will to live. Then when we went back to see them and Topaz was there. The fires of preservation started to burn brighter, the people of Belobog will fight for their home together. Then when we got to Sunday's boss fight the will of the harmony, even those who aren't a part of the family. They all had a singular goal, even if life is hard it's still worth living. The good and the bad make us who we are, to me Ena's dream was dormancy. Nothing bad would happen so no one would grow as a person. How I view the harmony is people from any walk of life coming together for a singular goal. Which is exactly what the Express crew and their allies did, they didn't make the choice for everyone on Penacony to wake up. But they guided them in the end it was the choice of the people to wake from Ena's dream. I can't wait until we visit the rest of the Xianzhou ships, because yeah we had the grand fight with Phantylia but we haven't had a grand moment that really shows what the hunt is about. I can't wait to see what crazy journey the express takes us on next

Penacony might not be peak story telling, it has issues with pacing and clutter, but This is the peak emotional investment I've had in a fictional story. as far as I'm considered this story might as well be real somewhere out there.

beautiful! penacony was a roller-coaster of emotions. most of the time i was confused and didn't know what was happening lol. but still the ending was sad, epic, and hopeful. the visuals and music were just perfect. can't wait to see the final conclusion. i hope sunday gets to be redeemed. his character was definitely interesting.

This made me realize something about penacony, almost every character that appears in this arc is in some way have dealt with "pain" In their lives. And the final arc being snapping sunday out of his delusion of happiness and embrace the "pain" With eachother side by side. Maybe thats why the harmony also gazes the trailblazer
Firefly = Homeworld is destroyed, and slowly dying from her sickness
Acheron = Everything she knows are gone, and becoming a guide for the dead
Gallagher = Becoming a slave to the family, watches his own home being corrupted
Aventurine = Lost his family and planet and becoming a slave for the IPC
Boothill = Also lost his family, and being reborn in a cyborg body
Including the nameless
March 7th = Lost of identity and true self
Dan Heng = Burdened by his past self
Welt = Victim of the 1st eruption and participate on the 2nd eruption in Honkai Impact
