    NZD and Australia should too introduce Job Seeker Visa for 6 or 9 Months like Sweden etc to reduce shortage of skill labour and reduce waiting periods for visa

    My fiancé is in NZ. For me to use him as a sponsor the requirements say we must be living together for 12 months but I live in the states (our relationship is long distance). Are there exceptions? Can I write you an email with my question?

    I have a boyfriend in NZ, but we haven't seen each other in person. Can I apply for tourist visa with sponsor? Do I still need to have money in my bank account? How much with that be?

      So you'll need to look at a general visitor visa, but it needs to be with a waiver. Recommend you get in contact with us at advice@shlaw.co.nz

    I know you probably don't answer comments but in five years do you think new zealand would still need immigration especially from Iraq
    that's where I'm from and I really need to know becuase if not i could choose another career now so if you have the time please help me know thank you

      Hi Emily.
      I try to answer them when I have time (and it's been a busy few months). NZ will always need immigration as 5m people isn't enough for a country of this size to cover all demands. We do have some Iraqi here though they usually come in either as students or when they are extremely highly skilled. So you'd be wanting to either be a student, or look at the Green List (Appendix 13. We've covered it in the last couple of videos) for jobs that NZ has in demand and likely will for some time.'

    Is there any issue where system is asking New Zealander partnership work visa applicants to provide further medical?
    Even general medical is submitted in January 2022 for general visit visa.

      Hi Yasir,
      Yes, this is a common issue which INZ just have not fixed, despite knowing about it since April/May.

    What's the time frame for the new eoi?

    • @ImmigrationNZLaw
      @ImmigrationNZLaw  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the SMC? I'm not sure I understand the question. You can submit an EOI now for the 9 November draw, after that it will go into the draws for January 2023 onwards.

    applied for visitor visa yesterday. Due to some technical error all the dates ( likes Date of birth, passport dates etc) that I filled were adjusted automatically to one day after the originaly filled date in the review section.
    I tried to many times to change it in editable format but was not successful.. it was all website error not mine.
    Now all the dates in my application are wrong .
    How can I rectify this, so that my file is processed without any negative effects of this.
    Please reply ASAP
    THANKS

    Thank you Aaron for all the info. I am finally in NZ with my partner. We hoping to start our Partnership visitor visa, but there is so much confusion on the living together aspect, and joint accounts needed. I can't be here 12 months, I'm on my last few weeks of month 3 then by law I have to leave, I can be put on his accounts or start my own unless I have a visa, just confusing for us.

      Why don’t you apply for partnership work visa? You don’t need 12 months for it, only 3-4 months would be enough.

      @@fidybeanbird I don't have a job offer here. I was planning to do Uber the same as I do in the states.

      @fidybeanbird 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@QweenAlanaGaming you don't need to have a job offer! Partnership work visa doesn't require a foreigner to have a job in NZ. Do you live with your partner under the same roof in NZ? Do you have enough proof to prove your partnership? Such as shared rent or mortgage or bills, joint lease or bank account, other people recognizing your relationship, social events you attended together, photos, messages, etc. In short everything you can think of.
