Indian students can now practice medicine in Philippines | DMSF | IMD.

The Philippine government recently introduced an amendment to the Philippine Medical Act of 1959. This amendment allows Indian students graduating from Philippine medical colleges to register and practice medicine in the Philippines. While it marks the beginning of the journey towards enabling Indian students to practice in the Philippines, it's a positive and hopeful step forward.
Mr. Kadwin K Pillai, Director of Transworld Educare and the exclusive partner of Davao Medical School Foundation in India, explained this recent amendment in this video. He says that it encourages the inflow of foreign students by allowing them to register as medical practitioners in the country. This amendment also aligns with the NMC's 2021 foreign medical education policy and positions the Philippines as a prime destination for medical education, particularly for Indian students.
