hi, great video, what about the file size and resolution settings? how do I make sure to get em right? besides what about the bleeds. thx for the video again
hello sir, sorry to disturb but i am finding it difficult to get a measurement blue print for a 2000 ford f150 truck, is there any way you can help me out please?
Hello Graeme! Thank you. You could go to the playlist for the lessons at th-cam.com/play/PLoP0L_NVgNiUiDnhbnHuaMTznM1i5WEp3.html The earlier lessons are generally older. You might skip over the first two unless you are interested in those related topics.
hi Ryan , great video, what about the file size and resolution settings? how do I make sure to get em right? i Mean how did i print to the full size of my car. I bought a template for my truck and I'am only able to print a small version of my design. I'am able to resize it to 2000% but i am not able to save or print it like that. Could you please help me.
Keven, thanks for this question. I'm working on an update to these wrap videos. I'm trying to get a wrap company to help me put together some videos on the file preparation for full-size print and things. I've done designs for wraps before that have gone to print, but there are some subtle differences and also each car, each wrap is different. I'm working on this update and hope to have it finished in the next few months.
vehicle templates I use are marked 1/20 so you simply multiply by 2000 for full size. your working files should be around 200 and than your final should depend on the dpi output. (resolution)
You're not the only one. I had some students in my class have similar issues. There is an alternate method, found in this video: th-cam.com/video/4K2HClel9_M/w-d-xo.html
I suppose you could design without template or blueprints if you had the measurements needed. For example, if you were designing for the side of a truck and knew the height and length of the truck, you could just set up your document to that size.
This video is allowing me to help a buddy in a pinch. Thank you very much. I know this video is older, but I'll certainly subscribe.
Thanks for the video
Can you do a video that shows how to scale the image to full size to get ready to print
tony afonso, yes sir. I'm planning a whole series on design to print. thanks for asking
tony afonso can you please send me more information about this project my email is angeloamaldonado22@gmail.com
Have you created this series yet? I'm not able to find any video on all of TH-cam that teaches how to send a car wrap design to print...

Wish my mac 10.11.6 was compatible with some form of illustrator/adobe/photoshop or what have you online, but alas it seems it is not.
The video is great but question if I send to the printing company what file do I need to send pdf?
Hello Ryan,Love your videos. Whats the best video to start with the basics of illustrator?

Thanks sir!!! Another thing i would like to know that is it possible to design a wrap without a template or blueprints?

Yes, it is possible. I only used blueprints as a basis for the outline for a design mockup. I'm working on an update to this video.
At what time point did you show the alternate method. I didn’t see it. Was it when you went to file and then recent file?
Good
my name is not ryan, thank you though
hey nice name
Yours too :)
