This latest Battenkill Disc version is true to its heritage in looks and performance, but updated with the latest in design improvements and a significantly more powerful drag. The porting and finish pay unmistakable homage to the Battenkills of the past, but this reel incorporates our best-selling mid-arbor design. Underneath that mid arbor is the same sealed drag system found in the Hydros SL incorporating six interacting carbon and stainless drag surfaces. Positive click drag is simple and easy to adjust. The reel is built of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin handle and changing from left to right hand retrieve is simple. In black nickel.

I did a two week tour of some of the notable trout rivers in NY and VT border. The ONLY river I didn’t catch multiple trout in was the beautiful Battenkill River. In fact I didn’t catch any, even with a guide. Tough river but awesome.

I want to get a Spey V reel disc drag but I want it to have a clicker like the click and pawl that can engage or disengage, like the old Martin reels (but with a nicer sound), love those sounds when those big fish run, there is nothing like the sound of that.

Hey, Tyler, I am wearing a Luminox F-22 Raptor Watch. And Tiverton69, we still sell the Battenkill click and pawl. This reel is an addition to that one, not a replacement. Tom Rosenbauer
