I love the way the Manager keeps saying "you can''t fly or you can't film" then along comes security who know exactly whats going off and the other security guards come along and shake hands with DJE, but the Manager and her sidekick quietly slope off in the background without a word heads down with embarrassment.
At least he said bye, she realised she was talking out of her arse and just turned round and retreated. Wish people would check on what they are saying before trying to lay down restrictions

The security recovered this situation quite nicely, they handled it better than the "manager". I think you missed an opportunity to educate the "managers" on company policy over civil law.

Let’s be honest, DJE is a master wind up merchant. His delay tactics are currently unsurpassed and extremely effective. Like when he enquired about the film crew on site, and offered to join them. Very entertaining to watch. He’s like the Jeremy Beadle of 2024. 😆👍

These security guys were genuinely friendly. FAR BETTER THAN AUDI!!! They were informed, gracious, friendly. THANK GOD for Landrover showing a glimer of friendly compassion, as opposed to the usual aggro. YES, I own and LOVE my Landrover Defender. I would have been gutted if they had been aggressive towards you. This video has made my wee day a very happy one.
They get to patrol the site in Range Rovers all day, so naturally they're going to be in a good mood.

The guy in charge of security was an absolute gem.
But was he like before he discovered DJ audits.
I remember the days when I could visit LR Solihull with my Series 2a, be invited in, shown around the Range Range production lines, special vehicle operations, etc., take pictures. Even got to drive a rare Lama they used as a site vehicle. New vehicles would come off the line and be parked all over the site, with the keys in them hung from the rear-view mirror, security wasn't really a big deal back then compared to now and the welcome was clearly more forthcoming!
And there you go, down to earth Brummie lads working in security saved the day. How refreshing to see security having a good conversation with you.❤❤

The main security guy seemed really pleasant and helpful such as advising about a possible site tour if done through correct channels which is great from a PR perspective. I was fortunate enough to get a tour of the old site and museum in Coventry before it was closed down and sold.
They had their own emergency response team including medical and on-site Fire Service so probably have the same at the Castle Bromwich site.
The Spitfire was built on this site too, don’t forget…a shame the current tenants don’t have the same dignity of their predecessors.

The first two muppets don't have a clue. The visitor centre is a mile OUTSIDE the nearest point of the FRZ which is at Bradford Road, Castle Bromwich, SOUTH of the M6. Also, why do so many companies have this weird belief that their on site policies have any application beyond their property boundary? Or that they control UK airspace rather than the CAA? The suits are so used to employees asking '"how high?" when told to jump, that they get flummoxed when someone who doesn't work for JLR declines to recognise their 'authoritah'. I guess they've never watched South Park. :>)

About the permit : if they ask to show a permit to film, you ask “do you have a permit to check my permit? “ 😊

I've done the factory tour here as I'm a bit of a jag fan, It's really interesting but very pricy (over 100 pound each)
A geeky fact but the red gate posts at the entrance that you cant miss on this video are left over from when it was a spitfire factory in the second world war
There's a test track and museum at Gaydon down the M40 towards Banbury that would make an interesting video
