Huh, just though of something, could Michella get a pair of artificial eyes, then just attach the old eyes to a machine to keep them alive? That way she gets to see, but technically she's still blind, and that way Leo could keep the eyes so Libra can still beat Blood Breeds (I mean if the Doctor still had a working one, I'm guessing there are ways to keep the eyes working even if the original user and their, let's say partner for want of a better term, aren't exactly up and about any more, unless Riga just doesn't care enough about older models to brick them even if they technically should have). If stuff like installing Biological weapons in what appear to be normal humans (as we saw in the group that attacked Steven) and even humans have access to advanced cybernetics (as we saw with the weird music girl who stole Zed's life support), eyes, and also maybe a working set of legs/spine don't seem out of the question. Unless those options do exist but are simply too expensive for Leo's family, this is set in America.
Or nightow made it where Leo and Michella sacrificed one eye each and gained one all seeing eye each.

I love this anime and I’ve rewatched it several times but, does it get dark for a reason? Is it just crunchy roll? If I bought the series would it be different?
if you mean the visual thing, it is frequently done in the anime, but you will get used to it I think

Sadly since this anime has some flashy visuals and fluid animation it's used a lot...
I have no idea if there's a version without the filter, but if there is I'd love to see it too because I agree that when it goes dark/white it's annoying.

I hate how animators darken the screen during all the cool parts. It makes no sense
its to prevent seizures, i think all the animation studios have to darken the screen during these scenes (you see this in my hero academia too)

You missed the whole point of Leo's character. He's not supposed to be a powerful fighter; he's there to chronicle things as they happen. He was never going to develop flashy combat powers; that's what the other members of Libra are for. In fact, he refuses to use the eyes to hurt people because it would be spitting in the face of his sister's sacrificing her eyesight.
But of course, you're male. You only understand punching and screaming. Go watch Dragonball. That dreck is more your style.
@@clairelarue992 I was at that type of phase only watching mostly anime's with op characters and stuff but its been a while and i have a good grasp of good taste and what not and I understand the anime's themself and the characters a lot more so my views at this time are very much different.
