The best thing about this scene isn't even _in_ the scene. It's the buildup. The way they handled the blackmail, the only reason they _could_ show up was because leo was competent enough to tip klaus off to what was going on. Then, not only does he stand up for himself, his sister, and humanity itself, he gives them everything they need to deliver the final blow, because _that_ is his role. He is a supporter, and while he has the strength of character to stand up when he has to, he also has the wisdom to know that his talent is making his coworker's jobs possible. He is the reason they have an edge now, even though he doesn't fight. That edge, combined with the allies who lend him their power to actually finish the job, is why libra is so strong.

Agreed! I love the interesting twist in the series, having the main character as a supporter rather than the one physically fighting. Didn’t make him the annoying star of everything nor the useless bystander, they executed his character perfectly!
Fun fact: In the manga after Libra appears everyone starts saying the first part of their attacks then Klaus, without uttering one word, punches the thing into oblivion like he did here; everyone makes a WTF?! face after that.

You can literally feel how pissed off Klause was with that punch and he is always so calm and collected
H. Han it's kind of an anime trope that they used too! When the normally calm character is pissed off you can tell cause they won't have pupils in their eyes
not to mention he used his left hand, he only does that when he's serious... you can tell the bad guy wasn't so tough to go all out on him but still got brutally killed...

You know what I love most about this? Klaus used his left hand. He only uses his left hand when he's serious. Klaus is so upset that this happened to leo that he steps in and immediately uses his left hand to punch this bastard. I need me a friend like Klaus.

@@math9172 Yep you are right, he uses his right arm as a shield and never uses it to attack until he gets serious. He uses his left hand to always attack things (You can see in season 1 where he entered a ring and boxed with a blood breed). Seriously mad respect for Leo. Even though being the weakest member of Libra in terms of physical strength, he still held his ground and head up high to protect the one thing most valuable in the world to him. Amazingly done.

Not only that but he was willing to sacrifice himself by pushing them both out of the window, and he would have succeeded if the weight of his balls hadn't slowed him down

Technically there is a part two manga - called a Blood Blockade Battlefront Back to Back , but from the bits I saw some of it was adapted in this season , like the first fight and that bug guy this season
How did this 24 episode short series literally become my favorite anime ive ever seen? It just feels like durarara with a magical/fantasy twist thats produced in such a good quality
I asked myself the same question 3 years ago when season 1 was released...3 years later it's still my favourite anime.
That's because this anime is truly beautiful.

Literally brought tears to my eyes as the song mellows out and Zap pulls Leo back and never said a word (extremely unlike him) as the whole team stepped into the light (as if to say they’ll always be there to protect him even if they can’t tell the future). Follow up with klaus not even wanting a name to seal the soul but he straight up obliterated it and as the guy flys out the window we see chain outside as if she was waiting to jump in but knew she didn’t need to. Then seeing Klaus stand back up with the rest of Libra in the background like “We dare you to not die from that punch”. 😭😭😭😭😭 this is so close to my favorite bleach scene. We need more seasons omg.

you got one thing wrong, why would Klaus seal him, he was no vampire, he only seals blood breeds ... the thing that is amazing her, that you normally hear some incantation, but here he just pulverized his enemy without saying a word, that's how pissed he was
I think Chain was difussed into the entire city searching for him at the time. In case. And then ready to catch him if he flew out the window too
The simple fact that they ALL showed up to save him, even tho not all of them were needed, shows how much they all care about Leo, and not just cause of his eyes! I love Libra! Always pulling at my heart strings! XD

I just realized that Dr. Gamimozu’s stabbing attack against Leo was similar to Zamedle’s stabbing attack against Klaus during the hospital episode. In that one, Klaus has to basically hold out against Zamedle long enough for Leo to come through with Zamedle’s full name so that Klaus could seal him away. In this episode, Leo had to hold off against the same type of attack just long enough for his squad to come through and finish Gamimozu off. Epic!

Seeing how angry Klaus is, using one of the most powerful attacks he has shown, even if so much power wasn´t necessary to do the job, made this really special.

Blood blockade give you that satisfaction when you finish the season but you can’t help but want more! If they ever do make another season, I hope they take their time like they did for this season.
There’s another source material for kekkai sensen called back 2 back you can read, and hopefully it can be adapted
Ya know... Leo may be the weakest fighter in the group, but when the whole group shows up to back him, just makes you smile
It's like having your older siblings come to the rescue. They truly made these characters feel like family, and without saying so! Nothing bothers me more than when the characters themselves say "Of course we came. We're family"

I cried as well, i never cry, just everything Leo went through, his pain translated perfectly to me.
Literally came here for the comments...I've watched this Anime many times and truly love how often I keep catching different things.. but what I Love, Respect most, and what will always take my breath away... is how there are so many different people all over this world with many differences, who feel the same thing when they watch this.
Damn I love this scene, Leo with all his strength pushes that guy and cracks the window a little, then Klaus comes through and levels the entire floor... why can't my friends be this cool

This entire season giving each and every character that I personally found extremely enjoyable a episode to develop character
And Leo in the background of all the episodes gets the biggest and slowest development all the way up to the final episode.

There must be considering how this season set up a very important story being that there is a reason for the Dome appearing and that Leo is the one chosen to see it through to the conclusion of this story as that is the reason why he was given the God eyes.

i havn't read the manga, but have they covered all the story-lines? i feel like this series would work out of order in some cases, also they do have a continuation series but it is only very early on in its cycle

I love that quote, “as long as one tries to take even one step towards the light, the human spirit can never truly be beaten”… and I think it perfectly capsulizes this story. A very good show in general, they put in a lot of Sakuga.. the Aesthetics are impressive no doubt 💯 🔥

Still one of my most favorite scenes in all of anime.
Out of all the anime I've watched, which would total up to almost 50, this is the only anime, that has made me actually, legitimately, with no holding back, cry for Leo.
The helplessness Leo feels throughout the last 2 episodes, the dread, the fear, him actually realizing there's hope, and him taking hold of it, just like he took hold of that hope back at the end of season one, doing all he can, and then everyone besides Chain showing up, Zapp saving Leo without saying anything, and Klaus going extremely serious by using his left hand and without saying his attack name. It all gets the tears falling.
This episode literally made me cry fr and I tried not to cry too I really admire Leo.(total weeb) Best episode and the music was such a good pick and Klaus’ attack was so epic showing the skeleton face and that scene in the cab too. I was happy when Zapp was the one to grab him. The Journey is rough :)

I've watched this about 50 times now and I still get chills.
One thing I sorta like about this, is how Leo fails to throw him out the window. It doesn't break with Leos strength alone.
But when the others arrive, Klaus punches the whole damn floor into oblivion, breaking the glass and throwing him out.
I just like how it shows that Leo is developing, but he isn't there yet.
Not to say I think he should be a fighter or anything like that.
Its just me picking symbolism out of nothing.
I don't know why but I cried.
From season 1 episode 1, kekkai sensen tells you what kind of show it's going to be. It's like a dark fantasy slice of life. There isn't really a single one plotline or end goal, and each episode doesnt really connect with the last but each episode provides a lot of laughs yet still portrays dark elements. As much as I loved my son William, I didn't cry at season 1 or through season 2 until this point. I don't know maybe it's the music, maybe it's cause I have a younger sister of my own, but after watching snippets of each libra members lives and then seeing them all come together for Leo - the moment felt real. Really appreciated how season 2 went more in depth into the libra members, it really makes the companionship and teamwork scenes much more heartwarming.

Reiszeille Gab it would kinda ruin the essence. The thing about Leo is that he’s just an average human going through supernatural adversities. They make sure to mention this several times that he’s just a boy with special eyes. It’s nice because Leo isn’t like his superhuman partners. He resolves things in his own way.

I was also laughing at those scenes especially the "I'm getting married" scene lel. And of course u also had the idea of it being a technique since the show re-wrote the translations as if naming a Bloor Art technique

It’s quite a funny moment there: you see everyone preparing an attack while Klaus just goes there and punches him as hard as he can, leaving them bewildered.
However, while the scene in the manga has that going for it, in the anime there are the emotional flashbacks, the wonderful OST (Tortoise Knight, even the name is perfect) and that wonderful punch animated by Nakamura.
Overall, I’m happy we have both.
Yeah I just read that part of the Manga just to comprehend, and honestly it would've ruined the scene here as it was presented in the Anime
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is Kekkai Sensen, a true masterpiece.

Leonardo is not a fighter, he is the guy the use his brain the first place, so seeing him being so badly beaten is really hard and makes the other guys arrival be followed by a sigh of relief
In the manga the scène was even better because everyone stepped up to protect Leo and than Klaus just stepped ahead of them and oneshotted the hell out of the bastard. It was just one panel of his fist impacting with the face of the idiot. And there was one panel where everyone was just blown away by the sheer destruction Klaus had left behind him. Mmm that was a good spread. There truly is, no such thing, as overkill

I did not watch the anime, but this scene is so well done I feel like giving it a try.
That last part with him being saved, the song picking up, and that ridiculous punch with explosion all fit together so damn perfectly!
I didn't watch this anime until recently, but I highly recommend, it is a fantastic anime with outstanding characters and animation.
