Whenever I watch these vlogs I feel like I have to stream them to my tv because the quality is just so incredible! Thank you for continuing to inspire my travel bug over the last year😊
The clouds are my favorite thing about this video! How many people get to walk in clouds! I've never even been close! Thank you both for your videos, I travel by watching your VLOGS!
I have watched this series over and over and over. I'm in live with this place and have to plan a trip with mountain lodges of Peru! It looks magical. Thank you for creating such amazing videos. I never knew how amazing this place is until watching. So thankful!!
Love to watch this sweet couple travel every night. It's so relaxing and interesting. I go to sleep dreaming that I'm there too!!! Thank you so much! God bless you both richly!!!
The views were amazing! The clouds and the fog made it look so mysterious! I'm so happy I found your channel, I've been watching all you vlogs from the beginning for the last month or so and it's amazing to see all the places you get to see and experience. As someone with a disability I will never vistit these places, not in the way you do at least, so I'm so happy I get to see all these amazing places from your point of view! Thank you for all your hard work!
Big up to Nate's mum and dad that was some climb! Congratulations to you two for 40k subscribers!! it was below 200 when I subscribed one of the best decisions I've made on TH-cam thanks for showing me the world through your eyes 😊
I had the pleasure of seeing it like this, with the mist, fog and clouds, and in the sun, its equally beautiful in both, feels totally different in both too. Amazing place!
Totally agree w you guys about the day. You still got to experience the site, yes not greatest views but it's special, being there with your parents and video to confirm. Plus you guys always mingle with the locals and get the true vibe of a place that you are visiting. One of the things I admire most about you two, not afraid to try the local people and their cultures! Great stuff as always!
Well what can you say what an awesome 5 days everything was perrrrrfect. It was sad that you climbed all the way up the mountain only to be blinded by the weather but hey the orchids, the ruins the workmanship and all the buildings I really got the feeling from your post that Machu Picchu was as mystical through the fog and rain as what it must have been when first found. Thank you for taking us there as there is no way my heart and lungs would have got me there. It was tremendous that your parents got to experience this with the pair of you well done stay safe and thanks again :) :)
it's weird exactly 3 years ago i was standing there and me and my friends hike for 5 days to see Maccu Piccu. And then it feels really magical because you worked for it.
Glad you were able to get at least a few minutes being able to see everything from above. I would have cried if I went and couldn't get the iconic picture looking down on it from above! So cool! Just amazing architecture, scenery, everything!
Made me remember the second trip I did with my soulmate. It was foggy and cloudy but after an hour Machuppichu did embrace us with sunshine the rest of the day. Good video guys, keep it up!
This is the second time for me going back through and binge-watching these videos again. I have fallen in love with you two and love the videos of just you two but it is so much fun when you have other people join you as well. I really enjoy Nate's parents in these and it comes later in the video series with I believe Kara's father in Vietnam is so cool! And I always love Nate's sister and her husband Baron (I hope I spelled his name correctly.) Obviously, I enjoy them enough to watch them over again! I love that Nate's parents are so active! They are likely my age (or maybe even younger) but it is encouraging to me!
SO BUMMED about the rain and clouds..would have loved to see a clear view...BUT...it did add to the mystery of Machu Picchu. Another great vide you two..
40k:) congrats. I remember subscribing at like 2k or something. You guys have a come a long way, your videos are always excellent and you are a lovely couple. All the best and happy travels.
While it's sad that the weather didn't cooperate so you couldn't see it in all its glory, you were actually THERE, among the ruins! I can tell how special and beautiful it is. The stone work the Incas laid is just an astonishing feat of engineering. It's breathtaking, really, but so sad that they did not have a language, so no records of how the accomplished all of these wonderful things. You can imagine every engineer and architect would love to find a way to replicate that.
That climb up and down triggered both of the things I most fear - my claustrophobia and my acrophobia. There's a reason why I watch these videos instead of doing it myself!
...STEPPING IN MACHU PICHU ALONE IS WOOOOOW. . .regardless if its cloudy or sunny, ur video is SUPERB!!! its my dream to visit the place... -watching in SAUDI ARABIA (but from the PHILIPPINES)
You both only had a few thousand subscribers once I started watching! I have seen every video! You guys are awesome, keep it up! You make me want to travel! Lots of love from Tennessee!!
Looked like a great trip to me! How many of us get the opportunity to see Manchu Picchu--foggy rain or sunshine? Your videos have been awesome and I would love to travel with Mountain Lodges of Peru!
You Still got to Visit Machu Picchu, so that's Awesome!!! To walk in the Ruins, Touch the Rocks, that is Enough. Sure, a Picturesque Photo would be Nice, but it's the Experience of being there, IN THAT PLACE.
oh my stars, thank you two so very much for taking me with you. You will be in my thoughts and heart when I go there this month of July 2017. thank you for creating such a magical I am with you sensation for everyone that joins you both through this video. much love n light.
Love your videos! I was in Seattle recently and my Uber driver urged me to visit here. She said it shows power outside of our earth exists (her words not mine!)
it's still awesome in its own mysterious way. The fog gives it a mystic atmosphere and makes this video a unique perspective of what the Inca royalty must have experienced when it rained in their majestic palace in the clouds.
I had sort of the same luck as you guys when I went to Machu Picchu. I was with my parents and grandma there, because it was a bucket list item of my grandpa(who died 10 years before we went there) and she wanted to do it for him. So we all got there at around 5 am(!!!) because we absolutely wanted to see the sun rise above the city, but sadly it was so cloudy we couldn't see a thing. We decided to stick around and just explore everything really slowly and just enjoy being there and luckily, at the end, the sun was shining and the skies were so blue! It was a really cool day and Peru is one of my favorite countries. The best thing is, it doesn't matter how the weather is like there, it still is just as awesome and magical either way. So to wrap this up, please keep doing these amazing videos! You are really awesome and motivate me to explore what the earth has to offer and just be open to new experiences.
Those stairs in between the cave walls... I was feeling claustrophobic. My goodness, that is an intense hike to and from Huayna. But, as always, you guys handled it like the Pros you are. 😊
Congrats on the 40K! My girlfriend and I have been following you guys since we stumbled across the 'How we afford to travel! - explained at McDonalds' video while searching for travel hacking tips. It's awesome to see how much the channel has grown. Not ashamed to admit that we kind of love you guys. We just want to travel with y'all. Definitely our travel/relationship goals. Please keep 'em coming! Also... geek question, what picture profile do you guys use on the a6500?
Sorry it rained guys! I've watched a lot of your vlogs and I seemed like you guys are drained and a little disappointed. Understandably so! Thanks for sharing, hoping to go visit this place in 2022!
That video was awesome .... I live in Colorado and hike a lot of 14er’s .... what was the elevation when u were at the top ?? So beautiful thanks for sharing 💕
Iv been in Peru. In Amazonas, in desert of Nasca but Machu Picchu is my biggest dream in my life. Hope i will visit this beautiful ancient place next year. Thank you for ur vids, love u :* ;)
so strange i used to stare at the Machu Picchu poster during my Freshman History class. Just thinking Man how the heck and why the heck!! ) That poster was to my right and on the other side was a French Cheaute on the water.. wonder if you'll make it there!!?? you are living my dream life!!
Sorry you didn't see much from Waynapicchu. We climbed it back in 2008 but left on the first bus up from Aguacalientes at I believe 4.10am and went straight to the entrance and had to wait awhile before they opened. But it was amazing sitting at the top on the big rock. After we did the tour of Machu Picchu. Looking to see if you are off to Lake Titicaca next like we did on a posh train from Cusco to Puno! Only another approx. 380 videos to catch up! Mount Everest Base Camp Videos are still right up there amongst our favourites.

Peru has the world record of microclimates so you have to know this detail, in the central and south coast is summer between December and April, the rest of the year is cloudy, it never rains, just sprinkle, the Peruvian coast is a desert. the north coast is different, sunny all the time, especially close to Ecuador. The months of May, June, July, August are the best to visit the highlands and the jungle, In the highlands is hot and sunny during the day BUT really cold at night time, no rain, in the jungle or rainforest is hot, humid and dry, no rain. Macchu Picchu is between the highlands and the jungle, that's why is so green, it is not too high.
Petty about the fog and rain but it's still beautiful. I hope in September or October when I get there it's not raining. No tripods, I assume no drones are allowed either. You guys are amazing
They DID have a written language, though not in writing as we know it. They kept records in strings of knots--different kinds and combinations of knots, different color threads, etc. Last I recall they'd only deiphered the numerical records in it, but there's much more waiting to be untangled, so to speak.
michelledyan123 I’d like to know also. This video was uploaded in May so there’s a good chance it was then. I’m also travelling there in May. I hope it doesn’t rain this much when I go. I picked May to go cos it’s “meant” to be the driest month???
Even with the mist the pictures are breathtaking.
I think I’m going to crawl into a ball and cry my eyes out the day you stop traveling.😭
lol yh

South America is more beautiful than North America is not it.
That's too bad you couldn't see the famous view for very long. But the rain and fog makes it beautiful and mysterious in its own way 😊
Nate and Kara,,, you have brought so much happiness to all our lives. Wishing you the best no matter what you do in the future!
Big up to Nate's mum and dad that was some climb!

It's actually a treat to see MP in the clouds and rain. Usually we only get to "see" it in brilliant light .
Tha foggy view of Machu Picchu was amazing!!!!

Just one word guys: THANKS! You 're special! Ciao. Renata
Thank you for this Awesome tour. Loved that it's so mysterious in the clouds. Beautiful🌎Blessings
That little small place y’all had to squeeze though on the trail gave me anxiety lol.
Its a different view... Cloud with mountain, so green nature... So beautiful...

What a cute little diddy accompanying this footage. 😆😆😆 The singers reminded me of flower children hippies frolicking in the meadow.
I remember coming here in summer 2017! Thanks for the great video!
Guys That's a great experience, thanks for sharing.

I was terrified watching that climb up passed Machu Pichu...
Peru was my first solo trip and I said I'll never book a turist all arranged tour just backpacking by myself, now I have a second opinion.
I really like it there my family took me after they adopted me from russia

Amazing!
beautiful view i loved your video.
Love you both
It seemed to be a tough trail to overlook Machu Pichu, but the Mount Everest base camp trek might have been a bit harder. Isn't that right?
Keep up the good Work!!!😍🙌
Hello! I’m new here. Just want to ask what were the dates that you went to Machu Picchu? Thank you :)

Machu Picchu sounds like the name of a mythical monster and i thought that was exactly what you saw but it was only a shadow so you couldnt be sure
