I've heard that the Stagg X (and perhaps to a lesser extent the XF) are vaguely similar to the Wave in brewing characteristics, so I'll go give this a whirl on my recently-purchased model. That Primavera is a lovely roast!
great video. Thanks! I've recently buy a kalita wave (stainless steel) and the first time I used it, I put it aside after brewing with it, and after some minutes when I decided to clean the dripper I notice that in the bottom of the metallic kalita it was a dark color solution around the holes....so I take the paper filter, cleaned it with water and I saw the same dark color in the paper, I believe that the parts of the paper in contact with the metal had colored during the brew and I'm concerned about this is normal or it happened because it was the first time (and I should have cleaned it more roughly or carefully). I didn't feel a metallic taste in my coffee cup but i don't want to experience something like it. Please, if someone can share their experiences with the metallic kalita in order to know if this is normal or I should ask for a refund. Thanks!
Frank talking about coffee is exactly what I needed to hear today
