Thank you so much! I almost didn't upload. My grandfather passed away recently so I've been spending my days off with my grandma to help her transition and not feel so alone. Unfortunately, that limits my filming options as I can only film on my days off. I'm trying to figure out a better filming situation... Hopefully I can come up with something that doesn't leave me filming at midnight, lol. Thanks again! TFW :)
Got a question I was doing my own nails they were looking very good when I did acrylics but then I seen a video that your supposed to put on do you dhydrator when I did it caused nails sink in why would it cause that
maybe grandma can be your model for the next video. i used to work in a nursing home and i know first hand how much the ladies loved to get pamper and looking even more beautiful than they already are. loved the video by the way.
Finally someone who doesn't file the crap out of their natural nail. I feel like one coat of polish would have been pretty too. Love your nails and video.
Lauren Hurst I agree people should be more aware of the techniques or lack thereof that they use but if you know it shouldn't be done that way then don't do it...
Thank you for this video. I learned gels first and am still trying to perfect it. My mistake is getting too close to the cuticle and having lifting so watching this has helped me on what not to do! Not a lot of youtubers work with gel so I really appreciate this video 💜
Watched this video several times to get this technique down! I’m going to do this but I’m going for the natural look. Thank you for your clear instructions! This is a very helpful video!😊
I have the hardest time with light pink gel polish. It was nice to watch you paint your nails and get some ideas. I’ve started using gel recently and find it looks so much nicer than acrylic and is actually easier for me.🎉 Great video! Thanks for the tips!💗
I wish you lived close to Indiana so you could show me in person exactly what to do. your video's have inspired me to start trying to do my nails. At this moment though I don't have any polishes. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought my first stamping plate. Eventually I want to be able to do what you do. thanks for being a inspiration.
The colour is so pretty. If I could make a suggestion, when going under the lamp, just mention the time. Whether it's a flash cure or a full cure. Great video
Well done! I'm looking into trying gel too. I do my own acrylics but that stuff dries SO quick! A bit too fast for my non dominant hand to play with. Ahhhh! Anyways...great job!
Thanks so much for this video -- it was so helpful! Two questions... (1) can you use nail tips on natural nails that are a little longer than yours (where there is more of a free edge?) and (2) what is your soak off process like for these and how long does it typically take? Does the nail glue dissolve so that the tips come off easily? Thanks again!
Love how you explain the steps! How thick/thin does the nail need to be? I’m still learning. Heard if it’s too thick, it could also break? But I’m afraid of going too thin, but don’t want a thick nail look. Basically, how thin can the tip be without it being too thin, and how thick should the apex be? Thanks!!
I really love watching your videos...Thanks again for the effort and time you put in to the making of your videos it is highly appreciated really...I know you don't always have time and I understand... Again it was really helpfull i am getting it right bit by bit..I just want to thank you for all your help i really do appreciate it...😉😉👌👍

I work full time as a caregiver so I understand how special it is to care for someone in their last years. You did an amazing kindness for your grandmother. Thank you again!

I looked up the nailite builder gel and it didn't say if you are to use an led lamp, they only suggested uv.....just thought I would find before purchasing ....I only have an led. Love your video!!
They came out beautiful, I have not used Nailite gels yet, I have used their acrylic powders, glad I saw how they work, considering buying some. Question: Mixing products, did you find them work well together ( Nailite and Tones). Oh and you don't have to apologize, the majority of us can relate, those bothered by it can just move on. Thanks for another great video, you are an inspiration! - xoxo Emmie
Do you know What I could do if my gel seperates from the nail tip the next day? It only separates from the tip area not nail bed area....what am I doing wrong?
Does the nailite gentle gel actually cure with a LED lamp? I only have a LED lamp & when I went to order it, I noticed it said UV and didn't mention LED. I really like the way the nails came out in this video.
Sabrina Gonzales yes it's called heat spikes. Reaction with the gel curing can create a hot burning sensation. To prevent it you can put your hand under the lamp for 4 seconds and take it out an do that a few times. Then fully cure
Hi do you experience heat spikes?I have not overfiled nor placed too much gel so not sure why I am feeling an intense burning and I am afraid to try this again.

I'm currently using Gentle Gel from Nailiteinc.com and Tones builder gel from tonesproducts.com. I like both but use the Gentle Gel more because it is soakable (much easier to remove). Hope that helps, thank you for watching :)
Unfortunately, yes. The gentle gel I used in the video is soakable. I think ibd makes one that is also soakable but it would state on the packaging that it is. I've used the non-soakable one and have to file it off. Thank you for watching! :)

I really want to avoid having to use the non soakable gel with tips.
Jennifer Perry ok, so.. you have 3 kinds of gel. 1- Gel Polish (It's only a colour or glitter just like normal nail polish, however it lasts longer than regular nail polish and is removed with acetone. It has no strength for building nail enhancements) 2- Soak Off Builder Gel ( This is more thick mostly comes in a pot but now you can get it in bottles aka BIAB 'builder in a bottle' this is used for strength. So you would use this to build or sculpt a nail using nail forms or nail tips. This soaks off / is removed with acetone. Hence the name soak off) 3- is called 'Hard Gel' or 'non soak off builder gel' (it is everything I said for the 2nd gel I typed above.Exact same building and sculpting rules apply to this gel, comes in a pot, never seen it in a bottle though. However! it doesn't soak off with acetone. Only way to remove it if with filing it off. ) So if you like to build your nails for a week or 2 and then want to remove it all off for work, you would use soak off builder gel. Hope this helped :) x
I was planning on painting them so I didn't need the tips to blend. If I had planned to wear them as "natural" nails without polish I would have :) TFW!

Lauren Hurst I agree people should be more aware of the techniques or lack thereof that they use but if you know it shouldn't be done that way then don't do it...
Lauren Hurst well if you file you should file st the edge of the tip, you've seen some bad tutorials if the filing is on the natural nail 😥.
The length and shape of your nails are perfection! Thank you for this tutorial.

Great vid! Have you had any experience with IBD soak off builder or sculpting gel? Aslo can you do a filing video?
How long did you cure? I've cured 60 seconds still sticky. Went another min and still sticky!
Question what is difference between using tips and using the gel itself to build the length ?
I really love the way you teach .very easy.is this the regular mail paint
How do you then work a fill without removing the plastic tip also?
Do you have to cure after each nail or can you do all 5 and then cure? This video is so helpful! Thank you.

When you say primer do you mean base coat? And when you say dehydrator, can I use isopropyl alcohol for that?
Can you put regular polish on your nails after you have buffed out the builder gel? Or does it have to be gel polish?
Your nail are beautiful. Thanks you for sharing.
I'm just wondering if all builder gels have the same cure times and what would be the cure time in an average 36w UV lamp?
Hi, Do I not need a base gel? Is it ok to apply a thiner layer of builder gel and cure then apply larger amounts of builder gel?
Thanks :)
Would I get told off at school for this? My school have strict uniform and we’re not allowed nails x

Ibd uses led

you will get lifting

what's the viscosity like for this gel?
