thanks for the video buddy but my 622 refuses to connect to my iPhone and both wifi and bluetooth are on and also hotspot (which i gather should be on too) and it refuses to connect so i cannot set up Alexa either which was the main reason for buying this. Any tips gratefullly received, TIA.
I’m bit late but have you tried removing the app from your phone, and then re install it ?

Cabin view cam does not have night vision?
It's doing my head in TBH.. I've seen the setting cog once since I bought it.. Now it doesn't show ! So the APP can't find the camera.. Is there a way to get the settings back on screen please ? I have the 522GW..
The phone APP is a complete waste of time.
You should be able to access settings once the camera is out of record mode. You then press the menu cog on the top left of the touch screen. If you can’t see that you probably need to do a factory reset, which I have no idea how to do without accessing the menu I’m afraid.
@@PaulMaloney Thanks mate I've sorted it without reset. The reset hole is on the bottom side - small pin hole. But the APP for it on Play store is a waste of space.. I have two other's - £20 each ebay bought 3 years ago, been all over the country and they have never let me down. ( Well saying that one now doesn't record sound. Though still works for the back..
P Healy how did you fix it because I’m having the same problem. Just got the 522 yesterday. The app can not find the camera. It shows on the phone that it’s connected via Bluetooth.
@@sofarsogood1356 I downloaded the app.. Turned bluetooth on and wifi. You need wifi to see live view. The app on your phone will turn both bluetooth and wifi on in the camera. I conected the camera to my laptop to charge it up. ( 2 hours needed ) Though it's the app which will control the camera. ( You can use it without the app ) Once it's bluetooth connected. Then open your wifi and check it got the camera. You will see the wifi icon on the camera come on next to the bluetooth icon, bottom right on the camera screen..
I have a problem with the live view. It doesn't want to connect. Says "live view unavailable". Help please.
It’s possibly because the device isn’t connected via wi-fi. You should get a prompt to connect to a new wi-fi network and once joined live video works. Try downloading a video from the device and see if that works, it should also bring up the wi-fi connection. Might be worth checking wi-fi isn’t turned off on your phone.
I can’t connect to the wifi each time it says incorrect password then I redo it the password changes it’s doing my head in now trying to set the WiFi up for it
How did you manage to view your videos from the app itself? Mine never works. This is frustrating.
You have to connect camera and phone via wifi.. Once they are connected to each other you can hit live view on the app on your phone and view.. The app controls both bluetooth and wifi on the camera.
On my gf's the connection kept going out and it wouldn't download videos even though it would say download complete. One suggestion we found was to turn off cellular data. That did the trick. Seems the iPhone was always wanting to go back to the cell connection and would drop the wifi to the camera

Honestly if you found out please let me know I just got this and I can’t even watch the footage
@@BlissBlisss you can you have to buy a micro usb card. OTG to put ur memory card inside it and you can connect it on ur smart tv usb or in your laptop or computer.
Had my 522gw for a couple of months now. Shows front feed but record video button is frozen on screen. Rear camera feed has also gone. Bought a U3 memory card literally 2 months ago sho can't believe that is the problem. Have given the cam a full recharge from home, reset settings but no change. Think I might be taking this back to Halfords but it's difficult in this lockdown, unless you have any other ideas I could try please?

@@PaulMaloney Thanks Paul, I went back to Halfords and the rear cam seems to be the problem, however due to lockdown Halfords are not permitted to enter my car to solve it, but I'm well within my warranty. Cheers for the reply :)

Hi Jack, make sure the camera isn’t recording. If you’ve got a red circle in the bottom left click that to stop recording. Setting button should appear

The App does not work on the iPhone 6+ “due to lack of RAM in the phone”.
I’m on an iPhone 6 and worked OK. Contact Nextbase support and see if they can help

Sir, how you transfer files from nextbase Dash cam to PC?
You can either connect the camera via USB or use an SD Card adapter to plug the card in from the camera. Then just copy using file explorer
Ok. Thanks. Is there a way to transfer the file already saved in mobiles mynextbase connect app? I cannot find those files in mobile storage so that I can transfer them to PC from mobile.
Ok. I think I understand. You’ve viewed footage on the mobile app and clicked the option to save. This should save it to the equivalent of your camera roll or photo app as if it was normal phone footage. Take a look in there and then export from there.
I bought the next base dash cam 522 4 days ago and it is rubbish.
Hi Russell, it’s fair to say the series 2 cameras do have their problems but updated firmware and mobile apps are beginning to fix some of them. NextBase fitted a lot of tech into them but seemed to have messed up some of the basics in the process.
@@PaulMaloney hi Paul. I went back to the shop last night and he told me the sound would not work with blue tooth on but he did not know why it was not recording all of my journey.
Try emailing NextBase support, they’re normally quite good at responding to issues

This is just like how you connect a GoPro to its app/ people need to just be a wee bit patient

This is a horrible dash cam not worth the money app is terrible , folks just use a spare smartphone does the job 100 times better
If hard wired, does the camera keep recording with the engine switched off or revert to parked mode.
Mine goes to parking mode, I have read if you wire it to an always on fuse it stays on but you’d soon overwrite the SD Card and no idea how long before the car battery goes flat.
@@PaulMaloney Expecting delivery of a 522GW this week to replace my 3 year old Ddpia M6 dash cam which is hard wired and shutsdown the camera before the battery gets low. It still works but the sound stopped recording a year ago.
If Parking Mode is set to on in setting.. It will keep using the car battery.. Best to wire it so when ignition is off, when parked. The camera uses it's own battery.. The camera battery will last up to a week on it's own.
