I will never forget when I heard God's awesome voice. I was fasting and praying and our Native American Ministry was about to begin. It was so powerful. He spoke to the inner being of my soul and His voice is absolutely perfect. I will never forget. There was one other time when I was 13 and got hurt and I was dying. I couldn't speak but the Spirit of God told me to scream out for my mother one more time with all of my might, and I did and she came running and got me to the hospital. I'll never forget that. I gave my heart and Live to Jesus when I turned 19 and never regretted it. I love God so much He is Awesome and I praise His Holy Name. Thank you Jesus for what you did for us and I love you forever, ..............

@@aimfuldrifter Hi there! I have STRONGLY heard GOD'S beautiful voice but it was in my mind, not an audible sound, but it stopped me in my tracks both times. Once when I was planning on leaving home when I was young. He told me where I would live and showed me my future in a vision. I'll never forget it because it all came true. The second time was 16 years ago. I was once again moving clear across the country. I was lonely, unmarried, and afraid of some things happening in my life. I'd never married you see and felt that it just wasn't what God wanted for me. 43 years old, I thought I was an old maid. That night as I was packing my bags, I HEARD GOD SAY LOUD AS COULD BE, YOU WILL MEET YOUR HUSBAND WHEN YOU GET TO YOUR NEW HOME. I kind of scoffed at this idea, but that time God's voice scared me. Not two weeks later and by a very strange encounter, I met my husband to be. We were married not 3 months later. 16 years later, I'm still happily married.
OH YES YOU CAN CLEARLY HEAR GOD'S VOICE! He'll catch you off guard sometimes, but it's his voice. 😁👍🙏🙏😇

But HOW did your hear
Him??? We are all here asking the same thing but nobody is answering the question directly... I very much respect Pastor Stanley but when he says “it’s like God spoke to me”... but HOW?? Did you HEAR an audible voice? Did a silent thought pop into your head? What is it? Be specific and just tell us what we should be looking for.
He spoke to your heart how? How did He tell you to wait?
@@delftblue8801 this is the best way I can explain it. Now keep in mind this is my experience other people might have different ones. So you know how you can feel when someone is watching you,staring at you etc? It's like that with God. So you have this feeling in your body that you just know to do something. You don't know how you know but your mind and body just does. THAT is what it's like when God speaks to you. Your entire body and mind gets this sudden urge and you just know
@@delftblue8801 another way he speaks to you is repetition. For example you go car shopping and you're thinking about which car to buy and it's between 3 cars and you don't know which one to buy. Then the next day you see an ad for one of those exact cars and you keep seeing it everywhere. You see an ad for it. You see it in parking lots and on the street etc. That is God speaking to you. God speaks to you in many ways.
Pay Attention To " A Sudden Clear Understanding " That Comes With Peace And Joy. Peace Is Yes , No Peace Is No.
Lord, blot out my sins. Forget my transgressions. Please return the spark in my eyes. I have sinned against You and You only. Guide me. Teach me. Help me.

You don't need to pray for that. He already did all that. You just need to believe it for yourself.

When I got halfway through listening to this I thought to myself that Dr. Stanley wasn’t actually answering the question about how to hear Gods voice. But when he asked the question about whether we spend quality time with the Lord in worship and praise, also he asked if we only pray when we have a need, I knew immediately what he meant and just how far away I am from hearing His voice! Thanks Dr. Stanley!

I've had a few times when God spoke to me but the one that I hold dearest to my heart is the first time. I was a teen. By this time in my life, I had endured much trauma in my life and I thought material things would make me feel better. Therefore, instead of asking for healing, I would ask for things that I thought would make me look valuable to others. Well, this particular episode, I was crying and saying to myself noone loves me so God couldn't truly love me, etc. And I remember clearly a gentle but authoritative voice wispered in my ear "Just because I won't do what you want me to do, doesn't mean that I don't love you". I know God is so Good. Despite anything I have gone through, my relationship with Christ has been the best part of my life.
How to pray to god
I actually really like listening to Charles Stanley's sermons etc.
He makes thing very clear and edifying.

Listening to God is one of the most challenging charges in a Christian's life. We find ourselves readily open to obey biblical commandments because they "simply" require an action (or inaction) on our part, but to have a spiritual conversation with Awesome all-powerful God seems so intimidating to believers that most avoid it for fear of "saying" something wrong or not knowing what to say at all. I pray that we all continue listening to God, and speak to Him through Jesus Christ's intercession.

Let me tell y'all, if you feel you haven't heard from him do not give up. It takes time for us to learn how to hear from him sometimes. He speaks clearly & plainly we just gotta ask him to help us understand. I am still learning to hear from him but he has spoken to me & continues to, just a quick testimony. It took a long time but it's more than worth it. Keep him in mind about all things 💙
When God speaks to me it’s like an automatic download of information. It’s like not just one thing it’s the whole picture all at once. And quite often it’s something I’ve never thought of before. It’s hard to describe really
when Im driving on the road,the Lord always fly in front of my car with a bird like sparrow whenever there is a danger ahead and He is always right !!!

I always look up if I'm being distracted and I was about to go off the road or something, needless to say I will be more careful but he has saved my life soooooo many times.

I see subtle hints in nature when I am about to sin. It's almost as if he is telling me not to at that moment.

When I'm having emotional turmoil, God will show me an animal in nature. Like this last time, I was so exhausted after my job, right when I left the door there was a nice sized lizard that ran before me and under a piece fo wood, which I lifted and was able to admire. God knows I appreciate these things and it was like I was about to light my fuse and He quickly blew out my flame.
I feel so blessed when I listed to this wonderful man of God. His teachings are so clear, so anointed. Lord bless Charles Stanley.

Sometimes I am exhausted at the end of the day because I literally spend my entire day praying, and saying thank you, I'm sorry, and praising God! At least I know I'm doing something right! 😧😁
Good message, and one thing to add about hearing God speak. I spend hours every morning with God, and he teaches me so many things. I open my heart and ears and just let him speak to me "showing me of things to come and lead me into all righteousness." John 16:13. Most would think this a waste of time, but for me it is the most profitable thing I do, for my soul mostly but also my pocket book. Being in sales of real estate, getting in touch with his Spirit and walking in it daily, makes me a much better sales man. No one can motivate or teach you things about men better than God.
As Paul wrote I die unto myself daily, so must we!
Personally, the harder I work towards righteousness and longer I refrain from sin, the louder His voice becomes. The more I talk to Him the easier it is to identify sin and be victorious during temptation. I've found that paying attention to the little things He likes, revealed in the Word, is a way to gain His favor. The mysterious ways He reveals things is refreshing and unmistakable. He is a loving God and also fun! Wait patiently upon Him, anywhere you go, anything you do, go in unshakable faith.

I have had NO ONE teach me as a child about God....I had to learn everything the hard, hard way. Parents...teach your children while they are young.

My mother taught me as a little girl about calling on Jesus when the enemy attacks..spiritually ..and he has. You have to prepare your children so they know what to do in this wicked world 🌎
You know this was awesome, I have grown up in a Christian household, i just feel like I've been praying for years for him to speak, and I just feel worthless because everyone else in my church, and family is so in-tune to Gods voice except me (The pastors kid).. I just don't understand. I want to just walk with God. I feel like I've been pursing God and he doesn't care
Please don't give up on God i pray in Jesus name. Pursue him more. James says draw near to God snd He will draw near to you. Try to go on a self retreat...shut out everyone and everything esp social media...fast...talk to Him w a sincere heart...He is waiting...
It is because you are blessed beyond belief, blessed are those who believe and have not seen or heard. Basically the less proof you have of God's existence and continue to serve and believe, the more blessed you shall be when the rewards are given out on judgement day. And he does communicate differently to all of his children according to their gifts, He communicates to me through dreams, music, and the word. I think the spirit has only directly talked to me 2 or 3 times in my life and it was just my name to get my attention.
Same feeling here. It just is. I've learned not to manipulate God. Give God the freedom to be silent and speak if or when he decides to.
This is so true! I've always believed in God but it wasn't until I surrendered my entire life to him without fear or doubt and I asked, who am I? What is it Im here to do? Please guide me and since then almost 4 years now I have seen his works and devine intervention in my life. I know he's communicating to me in many different ways.
Preach the Gospel, pray for them and pray with them.
I literally hear God's male voice. I'm female so i can distinguish His voice. What i do is be quiet right after i ask a question so i can hear His voice. Sometimes I hear the answers between 3 to 5am when it's quiet. I started hearing the voice after i read the whole bible where i learned the difference between knowing God and receiving God. The bible says that God will give us a Holy Spirit to answer our everyday questions after receiving God. Thank you God. Peace to all.

I love it when God speaks to me, even about things that appear humanly small. I think most people itch to hear Him give answers like, "Don't go on that webpage" or "Walk across the street and talk to that person." But when He's trying to tug our hearts about our relationship with Him, we often ignore it.
One time the Lord even told me very clearly, "Don't read the last five text messages you've been sent, just delete them." Stuff like that.

I think this is God speaking to me.
I stumble upon a sermon of yours for the first time, and as I was watching it, I thought to send it to my mum, so that she can also watch it. The same thing happened again, and I decided to send it to my friend. I believe God is speaking to me, to better myself as a Christian and a person and also help other people come to God and his light, and walk with him. Thank you pastor Stanley for your wonderful work in the world.
The nugget here is "our intimacy with God". That is what we need if we want to hear God.
Listening to God's voice is easy. It's not complicated. Christian teachers confuses it. God's voice is His Word. His Word is His will. The more we know about His Word the more we are able to hear Him speak to us. God's voice speaks clearly about, stealing, murder, violence, relationships, lust, etc. The question is what do you wish to hear? All scripture ... 2 Tim 3:16. Some things that we are waiting to hear we will never hear because it's in our power to do. Live right, pray, study & obey.

The last time I heard the Lord's voice auditorilly was last year 2017. He also speaks through His word.
I live in GOD'S miracles from day to day. Seek the Lords face, trust in the Lord always. I pray in n out every day, through out the day. My work keeps me from church, until my scheduled is change. I have a relationship with my Father in Heaven morning n night before bedtime. I know he sees my heart, also hears my prayers. But all the miracles I've received with Joyful cuz I know my Papa is Able All the times. One Love is my God Lord our Christ Savior. Hallelujah Amen

It can be hard to trust but he is always right. No matter how much you dont want it. He is always right his timing is perfect. You will see. You will begin to let go of what's not important and find patience.

I know that God will work everything for our good, but right now I feel kind of stuck in a very bad place. I don't feel much..... Not like I used to. I'm not emotional. Even with all the Coronavirus deaths. I should feel sad about it, but I'm not. Is something wrong with me?

He is so ever faithful. He does answer prayer and sometimes even as you pray the answer is already on it’s way. I can testify to that personally. He is gracious and merciful. He will not fail and is always close by. He is not a shout, even though some times that may be what we need, but rather a whisper away. He is that close. He is right by our side waiting for us to call on him and seek his face. Bless the lord all mighty.
God does still speak to us today: it's called the Scriptures. Stop looking for extra-scriptural sources of authority or wisdom. You want to hear words of God? Read the Scriptures. You want to see divine revelation? Read the Scriptures. You want to learn what Christ wants you to do and how to act and what He wills for your life? Read. The. Scriptures. Searching for feelings and dreams and prophetic utterances is little more than wanting to substitute the Word of God for emotive experiences.

God is speaking to us and it is the best privilege when you can hear Him you know it’s Him and this makes sense being in tune to hear Him by keeping in His Word and keep building your relationship with Him it is possible to hear Him and believing in Him

God spoke with humanbeings on daily basis. As the population grew also the disobedient toward God grew. He chose His own People whom he could talk to through dreams and face to face like Moses on mount Sinai. God knew that lawlessness on earth will grow.
Within these children, special few were chosen through whom The Holy Book was written. He gave Christ to the world. Christ promised the Holy Spirit to those who will accept Him as Lord. Only through Holy Spirit can we speak with God today!!!

I heard a voice when I was alone, no other human around. I was staring at a picture, a print called the sacred heart and thinking about what Jesus did for us. The voice said "Don't forget". My dog didn't hear it but I heard it loud and clear.

This is so brilliant. Thanks for the clarity. Before now I guess I used to look outward to hear from God rather than inward. He honestly speaks to us just that we aren't listening and we haven't trained ourselves well enough to identify his voice or commune with him.
