wait what? I dont understand why is it that the theme automatically appears in your theme in wordpress? how did you connect it to the folder, in which folder did you save the php files? you skipped so many steps in the beginning

Once you make the WP website and the local files go to your computer, go to the public folder, then wpcontent, then to themes, and create a file and name it whatever you want your theme to be named. Then , in VScode, open that folder and make these files in that folder. It will automatically show up when you open the wp admin/site. Let me know if that helps.
