Curious, are there relocation tours available?? Am interested in seeing what Malaysia has to offer retired people from the USA… tired of the politics and taxes and cost of living in USA… thank you for this great information…
This ia a difficult question to answer. I haven't heard of any updates about importing cars. The best information I could find says that as long as you own the car for at least 6 months before applying for the visa then you can import up to one car with a tax exemption. However, I would contact the Royal Malaysian Customs Department for the most up to date answers. Thanks for watching!
To my knowledge the MM2H visa allows for remote workers who are employed by another country. While the MM2H program doesn't explicitly cater to remote workers, it allows foreigners to stay in Malaysia on a long-term basis for purposes of leisure, residence, or even as a place to work from. However, I recommend contacting the MM2H Centre or consult the most accurate and up-to-date information based on your specific circumstances. Thanks for watching!
If over 50 the liquid assets have to be at least MYR 350,000 which is somewhere around $76,000 usd depending on the exchange rate. Offshore income should be at least MYR 10,000/month which is around $2200/month USD. I would research the requirements if you decide to make the move in the future as they could always change. Thank you for watching.
It looks like there's been a lot of changes the past few years to the program requirements. Here is a helpful article that I found to hopfully explain it better: www.aljazeera.com/news/2023/12/26/malaysias-mm2h-changes-draw-cautious-welcome-questions-among-expats
That’s exciting that you’re considering starting this journey. I would recommend first contacting the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) program directly or visit their official website for application requirements and procedures. Let's go everybody!

Can you confirm MM2H is not allowed to import cars anymore? If you do import tax applied which equivalent the same value of the new car. Please check.
