At 3:42 my grandmother had those glasses. All the way in the West Indies I believe we still have them around even though it is about 20 years since she has passed. Memories.

Those books were a great find. I really enjoy having my students learn about traditional pottery of cultures and then creating something modern and personal but with the historical influence.

It makes me feel good that someone as fabulous as Angela makes these wardrobe mistakes on occasion. I put my pants on inside out and went to work like that a week or so ago. I teach 12 one-year-olds. To say that they were merciless with their commentary would be an understatement! Lol.

The first pot my Mother made, she cried. Said it was the most unusual feeling. The crystal was wonderful but the clay pots would be a find for me. You are now in the club of the inside outers.😊 Love the thrifting trips.
I can relate to your shirt inside out! I was sitting in a coffee shop with a handsome friend, and noticed my pullover was inside out! I made a bee line for the ladies room and turned it right side out! Nobody knew the cat fell in the buttermilk, I don’t think! But I felt soooo bad! I thought, I must slow down!

Love going thrifting.! You're going to love making your own pots, it feels as wonderful as having your hands in bread dough, the books are fabulous. As for the shirt, I live pretty close to my favorite tiny town, St. Michael's Maryland. I wore my favorite outfit, black shorts, black grey and white light weight top, and the most fabulous black and white checkered sole flip flops. I thought I was looking great, got home to see I wore my top inside out the whole day. Pretty sure it wasn't noticeable, I think it's great you pointed it out =^)

I use Hello Fresh in the summer. The last thing I want to do after spending all day in the garden is come in and try to figure out what I’m making for dinner. Meals are good and quick to prepare.

I obtained my first pair of wooden shoes during a dance tour in France. I've added a few more -- I love the most rustic ones. They're on my kitchen wall. And BTW, I did join OWS a while back but have been too busy with writing deadlines to participate but I'm with y'all in spirit. And your book find was serendipitous.

As always, I am enthralled and delighted with how utterly lovely your home and garden are. I hope you have a wonderful time learning to throw pots, its something I have enjoyed since I was first introduced to it. A question if I may? Behind you in the closing section, where your antique scale used to be(?) Is that a bread box now? Im also very interested in the tea cups I could see hanging on the wall. Im exploring ways to store my own dishes that let me enjoy the sight of them when not in use.
I certainly didn't notice your shirt. I must be jaded by all the people around here that wear pajama pants to the store. LOL. The item that I would have had to have another look at was the handprinted table at the beginning. I have a weakness for little tables and fifties style tablecloths..... and FRAMES!

Isn't it amazing how God provides when we don't even ask. I have this happen all the time to me. I buy thrift and have for years. I always feel so loved when out of the blue I find the exact thing I'm looking for and have never seen before. I so appreciate that you show people that buying thrift isn't looked down upon. So many people think well I'll buy from an antique store, but never think about a thrift store, because they're too good for that. Almost everything in my house is from a thrift store, not only have I saved tens of thousands of dollars, but my home is so cozy and not cookie cutter Target pieces. This makes me want to go thrifting, lol.

My first time here and I loved it I’ll be back as I subscribed. I don’t know where you live but if it was close to my daughter she would teach you to throw pottery. She is an amazing ceramicist. She lives in Colorado and has a little studio and is an art teacher for 6-12 graders. 😊
Your new collection of books on pottery was indeed the find of the day. What fun it will be after the kiln's arrival to begin producing pottery pieces of your own. And too, what an excellent creative outlet for any of your children who are interested in learning this craft. I'll bet at least two or three of them are already pretty excited about the prospect.

Oh, I had a chuckle about your shirt! I'm glad your sense of humor won out. :) I have a linen dress with vertical tucks on the upper back and a sort of smocked effect on the front, high neckline. I went to work one day and realized it was on backward - I gasped and made a fuss, then went to change in the bathroom. I don't think anyone would have noticed if I didn't say anything, except the back would have been a little fancier than the front - these things happen! :D

I tried my hand at throwing clay a couple of years ago and discovered it was so much harder than I thought it would be. It takes A LOT of practice. Hopefully, you will find it much easier and more enjoyable than I did. Now I just buy pottery already made by other more talented people than myself..lol

Can you please share more information on that book set? As a potter those would be very helpful and I have never seen such a set. Information from the title page such as year published, publisher, and name of collection would be supremely helpful. As a bibliophile it is a treat for vloggers to do slow pans over title pages in books and shots of the interiors of books. Loads of book lovers out there.
I found them! Faber and Faber is the publisher. They look quite different with their dust jackets. There are some on ebay, but no sets. You definitely scored sister.
