Despite all the flak Stark gets, his 'moral compass' quote is justified. When the chips were down he was willing to sacrifice-in New York, using the stones, and it's obvious he would sacrifice his life for Peter's. By the end of his character arc he was strategic but had also learned to sacrifice and compromise where he had to, he became a really really good leader.
I don't understand where are you coming from. Strange was against sacrificing time stone, not his life, duh. Because time stone would've allowed Thanos to control time. Thats not really what you want your opponent to be able to do

@@jordanfrost25we still don't fully understand the spell. It made everyone not know who peter parker is. But that doesnt mean people dont know spiderman is someone named Peter Parker. So Dr Strange could very well know spiderman, and know some guy named Peter Parker is spiderman but not know Peter Parker, and probably is aware that he himself cast the spell to do that, so he knows that he doesnt know who peter parker is, but he knows he did know who Peter Parker is. So its possible that if they reintroduce, Dr Strange will know this, and can probably say "I'm glad im getting to meet you for the first time again Peter"

For three very smart people, their logic here was terrible. Taking to fight to Thanos is the enthusiastic thing to do, not the smart thing to do.
You don't know how big an army Thanos will have when you arrive, but you do know that you won't be able to bring in your own reinforcements. On Earth, it'll take longer for Thanos to bring in reinforcements, but you've got the Avengers, SHIELD, military, etc to back you up.
And if you're worried about civilian casualties, you've got the time stone, so Thanos HAS to come to you. You pick the battlefield. It doesn't have to be a fight in NYC again. Just sit in the middle of a desert somewhere, hundreds of miles from civilization.

I really liked moments of seriousness in mcu
It's so odd seeing 2 Sherlock's face off: the new high tech version and the analytical classical version. The only way it would get any better ratings from me is if they also had Jeremy Brett and Basil Rathbone in some possibly cameo role. (For those that haven't seen it, please compare all the versions of Sherlock. The cultural differences are intriguing)!
The funny thing is that there is only one adult, Dr Strange. The other two are a high school student and a boozie man child

There was when Tony completed screwed up. They should all come back and protect time stone together in wakanda
Was it the wrong choice in hindsight? Yes. Was it an understandable tactical decision given everything they knew? Also yes. Even Strange came around and agree after Stark explained why he wanted to take the fight to Thanos. That at least the fight would be on their terms with them as the aggressors.. maybe to catch Thanos by surprise. Better that than to let Thanos come to Earth in Starks mind. I think Rodgers would have agreed with Starks tactical assessment too.
@@violabeaumont3758 Nope. It was a terrible decision even at the time. They had two choices:
1. Go to wherever the ship is taking them, not knowing where that is or how many enemies will be there, but knowing it's just the three of them with no possibility of reinforcements.
2. Go back to Earth, call in the rest of the Avengers, SHIELD, the military, etc. Thanos will take longer to get reinforcements, while Earth will have everyone available. If you're worried about civilian casualties, remember that Thanos has to come to you to get the stone, so you control where the battle will take place. Go to a desert or something, hundreds of miles from any innocent civilians, and have the battle there.
And that was before you factor in the possibility of Wakanda's armies and technology helping them, which Stark and Strange might not have reason to consider at this point.

I loved Infinity War and is a movie I can watch on constant repeat. The ultimate nerdgasm. I even watched it twice in cinema.
How is this whole "can you fly us home" thing even an actual argument? Doesn't Strange have the sling ring to just open a portal?
And before you say he's "out of teleportation range from earth", keep in mind: in End Game, we see him opening a portal to Earth all the way from Titan.

At least in the mcu, Dr Strange seems the only person to be as shrewd as, and perhaps even more realistic than Tony. The rest, including Rogers, are idealistic. I wonder if Parker, in postNWH movies, would have Strange as a de facto father/mentor substitute now that Tony ain't here. He does seem to be getting attached to the kid just like Tony had, although better at hiding his paternal affection.

It works as a film plot but as a real plan going to Thanos was the dumbest possible thing in this situation. They are just 3, they don't know if Thanos has a full army there plus at least a few of the Infinity Stones already.
It would make way more sense going back to Earth to protect the stones with the full force of the Avengers.

Great scene, only one thing truly bothers me about these comic book movies. I get that actors seem to have a pathological need to show their faces in every scene. But taking off your mask after the battle, removing the Iron Man armor while still in the spaceship. Look, comicbooks in which these movies are based on you don't see the hero lose the costume every chance they get. Leave the flipping mask on!! While on Avengers adventure stuff you are supposed to be the Iron Man and NOT Tony Stark.
Sorry this just bothers the heck out of me. There is NOTHING that takes me out of the immersion and illusion of 'Hey, I am seeing a comic book on the screen!' more than seeing the damned actors face when they are supposed to be in costume. And on this rant train...WHY while in said costume do they insist on using the actual names?? Not, "I'm Spider-man" or "Iron-Man, I need assistance", instead we get a sheepish "I'm Peter, Peter Parker", or from Captain America on comms "Tony, I need assistance"..WTH!!
