That’s really cool. I should definitely try this out sometime because it looks like a lot of fun. I remember playing the multiplayer for Metroid Prime 2 with my friends and cousins and having a lot of fun. Too bad the GameCube didn’t have online multiplayer. Hopefully if we get a Metroid Prime 2 remastered or just an upscaled port they’ll include online multiplayer. Great job on this and good luck on your Reach Nuke Town port. In the comments of another video I saw you and someone else talking about Star Fox Assault’s multiplayer. Do you have any plans to port over the different maps and maybe the weapons/vehicles into Halo? I think they’d translate really well and would be fun to play with. Somebody ported some classic Battlefront maps and they work really well. Speaking of Star Fox if you want more content from it there two really cool fan projects you should check out. The first of these is a mod for Freespace Open (open source game so it’s 100% free) called Star Fox Event Horizon. It’s a reimagining of the 64 continuity that uses characters and ideas from all three reboots/timelines. The guy has been at it for a long time and got a lot of stuff done across the series. At this point the 64/SNES arc is mostly done, he just has to rebalance/rework/fox some things and add voice acting. Speaking of voice acting he got Krystal and Wolf/Bill’s original voices to do work for the mod. He’s currently getting a lot of the stuff ready for the Adventures portion of the game. Unfortunately, there’s no on rails sections because he’s not a big fan of those and it would probably be a nightmare to script in that engine. There’s also engine limitations like being unable to hop in and out of vehicles like Assault so that arc won’t feel right, he also can’t get vehicles to transform like 2/Zero. Luckily he somehow got ground missions working, but they’re pretty janky. There have been a bunch of updates throughout the years and it’s currently going strong. The other is a reimagining of Adventures made by Esphirian called Star Fox Remadventures. I’ve talked with the guy in the comments and he has some cool ideas for gameplay and the story. For on thing Andross is dead and the only connection between him and Scales is a military alliance between the Sharpclaws and Venomian Remnants. Krystal will be along for the journey and we’ll see her and Fox bond throughout the course of the game. It’s going to be like BOTW where you can do objectives in any order you want and I’m assuming there will be Metroidvania elements where certain areas will be inaccessible until you come back with a new ability. The Great Fox and it’s crew will be actively involved in the story. Fox will play like Assault where he has a big arsenal of guns and Krystal will play like Adventures. There will be vehicle combat and the Arwing sections will be far more fleshed out. Sabre and Randorn from Dinosaur Planet (the n64 game that turned into Adventures) will be Krystal’s biological family and have blue fur. Scales is misinterpreting the Krazoa as gods and I’m assuming he wants to ascend and become one. There will be a “special connection” between Krystal’s species who are now native to Sauria and the Krazoa akin to what Bungie had planned for the Forerunners and humanity before Frank O’Conner changed it (when Bungie ran Halo there were various connection like the Onyx Sentinels speaking Latin which was the langue of the Forerunners and the Covenant already understood it because they’ve been reverse engineering their stuff for so long. In Halo 2’s storyboards the Ark was originally located on earth in East Africa where modern humans first originated some 100,000 years ago, which just so happens to be when Forerunners disappeared from the galactic scene. In CE Guilty Spark mistakes Chief for a Forerunner implying that an armored human is indistinguishable from a Forerunner. Humans are designated by Sentinels as Reclaimers which means to obtain something that was once yours. Halo 2’s version of the Ark was implied to have guided the evolution of indigenous life to a desired point and the Arbiter would’ve found a Forerunner skeleton inside sarcophagus where it’s used as a template for the new species that will inherit their legacy/technology. Gee I sure do wonder what kind of crazy revelation will explain Krystal’s connection to the Krazoa and why she has powers. Something tells me there’s a connection). The game will also be like Lego Star Wars where you can swap between the characters and will need to use their different abilities to solve puzzles. There were some other cool things I sadly can’t think of off the top of my head. Unfortunately, there’s no demos/playable builds because the guy doesn’t want Nintendo to stomp the project and it’s nowhere near complete. A lot of stuff is still in the planning phase.
I'm already working on the next project. Which will be announced at the Halo Mods Showcase on the 8th of December. I haven't forgotten about this mod, and I will be finishing up the 1.0 release.
This is really Cool, my Brother and I used to enjoy MP2 at our house, and Play Halo CE/2 at our cousins house, I wish modding was accessible to Consoles, can't wait to see the rest of the maps done in Halo 2
I've stopped posting individual map updates. But I've released Crossfire Chaos and Spires since this video. I plan to do another YT video on this for the full release. Yeah, I wish console modding was a thing to. But it's out of our hands, and it's up to Microsoft and 343i.
@@Priception I look forward to seeing all the Maps. I wondered how grapple beam, Gravity boost, pirate turret/bombslot weakness, especially spider ball, and other Samus abilities would work. This whole project is very Cool. Out of curiosity of how far this could go, could campaign Maps be imported, and Custom campaign levels be made?
@Forsaken859 This mod is intended as just a port of the maps themselves to Halo 2, not the gameplay of Metroid Prime. I have brought over some of the map exclusive mechanics. Like I've made the Spider Ball tracks climb able as ladders on Spider Complex I've recreated the destructible platforms and poison water on Shooting Gallery. I've recreated the destructible walls on Crossfire Chaos. (Tho it's not currently in the map as I've run into technical issues with it) I've also added the Morph Ball Cannons onto multiple maps. I did plan on adding the Pirate Cannon and started working on it. However, I ended up scrapping it as it was too much work to get working. I have no plans on adding any more Metroid maps in the near future (unless the cut Magmoor Caverns Multiplayer Map leaks)
@@Priception understandable on the gameplay decisions. I was only curious how far it could go, figured it was the multiplayer only. Though I didn't know that there was a cut map. I haven't thought of MP2 multiplayer in over a decade, but feel so compelled to find out more about it.
Yo this is so cool!! would be awesome if there was a way to swap the weapons too to be different variants from the prime series! could even have the missiles!!
Mod can be downloaded from the Steam Workshop for Halo: The Master Chief Collection:

i love metroid prime. doing gods work
After this mod is done what do you think you’ll do next? Also, how close to completion is it? This will definitely be really cool once it’s done.

This is great
Will it feature samus canon with different type ?
yo this is sick

That may happen in the future as a seperate Mod. But for this i just plan to port the maps themselves into Halo.
@@Priception Thats still awesome! love your work! can i ask how you got the assets for the MP2 maps, would love to try a halo/metroid make over mod
@ethan mac It's a tool called "metaforce" I talk more about it on the Steam Workshop page.
