Great Interview...The Bible does tell us to take every thought captive and bring it into submission to Christ - and if it is good, pure and praiseworthy think upon these things. What you are talking about is very Biblical. There is another that says to guard your heart, of out of it flows the river of life. What you are teaching is so needed as part of our school curriculum, not as a once off workshop. This was GREAT! Thank you!

You can decide to be the new you at any time. Getting rid of negative people from your life or helping them change their negative ways. We all deserve to be happy so look at what would make you happy and set out to get that. Keep it simple. Get rid of drama and confusion from your life. Just breathe and be who you are, and be the best version of you that you can be. Find peace in yourself and also in the quiet of day. It's beautiful, and so are you. Just decide to stop all this madness, cos that's what so much of life is.

This was really fascinating Lewis! Your Instagram story inspired me to check out this video that a fan praised about. What really resonated with me as Marisa explains is the brain's job is to just survive so we hold on to what is 'familiar' as she said so we really do change the narrative we tell ourselves. For years, I held onto my social shyness in high school until late 20's until a psychologist friend said that's your illusion/your perception and that is when I lived a good life when I let that go, free of trying to be someone I wasn't. Thanks Lewis!!

I got brave the other day and after a doctor appt, which I had planned to change from... she complimented me on being proactive in seeing some other specialist... I told her I appreciated her saying this but the fact was the last time she was rude and I had planned to change doctors. She said that' is my prerogative, but I went out feeling better cause I got brave to tell her. Not being mean, but I think she needed to have a better ''bedside manner '' for her patience.

Hello Marissa. Do you work with people who have narcissistic personality disorder or do you have any links speaking about it ?

She has a similar line of thinking as Dr John Sarno who changed my world of back pain. The TMS theory.
Thanks for having her on, no idea who she was and won't hold it against her that she is a pom😁, she is very interesting with her theories. 👍Good food for thought.

Such a great interview! Some takeaways:
*If symptom has a role, function, purpose or intention, it doesn't go away.
*You can't eat, drink, shop or think your feelings. Feel the feeling until it doesn't have to be felt anymore.
*Be aware of what you are feeling. Say out loud "I was hurt when/by"
*Repeat to yourself how would a perfect parent/teacher praise you.
*"If you're not used to praise, you'll reject it. If you're used to criticism, you'll add it in."
*Thank you for sharing. Could you please repeat this again slowly? Are you trying to make me feel bad about myself? I'm not letting this in. You have the most criticism reserved for yourself.
    *I'm choosing to...
    *Password "I'm enough"
    *Positive wording

Simple: "Life and death are in the power of the tongue." Proverbs 18:21 We can speak things into existence. Science and what God established aren't separate.

yesssss soooo true!! as i have studied more on this and growing emotionally and mentally i have noticed the correlation science has with what is in the word of God . it makes me soooooo happy to see that

Reading "what science and god established" makes a very odd sentence... Kinda like saying: "what concrete bricks and fairy dust established.." I.o.w.: There is no scientific proof for a deity; not your Abrahamic God, not for Jaweh, Allah, Thor, Krishna or Zeus or the many Gods people have come up with. But the ways of the Universe do hold the ultimate wisdom, yes. Without the unnecessary doctrine.

@@slimshany4602 And your problem is? Let people live their lives according to their own mentalities. There is always that ass who sees the word "God" and instantly feels entitled to get involved, compares God to "fairies" and leaves. Did you make the world a better place? Sit the fuck down.

Such a powerful episode. “The event doesn’t effect you. The story you attach to it does.” This episode has so many quotable lines. I have to pause and just reflect on the statement and then reply the part.
