With you on most of the things, love the Nano Air in general. but I personally really did love the last iteration a lot. I definitely like the slimmer fit items more. Nonetheless, also have both! I am using the new one primarily as a snowboarding midlayer, have the exact size and color you have. I might differ a little in that the one I really love the most is the 2019-2022 version though. just so perfect to me. I liked the single pocket as it kind of had a stealth James Bond kinda vibe. I personally think they should offer a light/mid/full line, with the middle being kind of like the previous iteration. with you in that the new one is more full-featured though, but do find a missing use case with the 2022 gone/ being changed so much. 3 options would be perfection.
Stealth James Bond vibe, that’s awesome😂. I’m definitely with you on that Patagonia should make the jacket in three different iterations, like we’re still missing a full Nano-Air light jacket (or pullover) as we only have the hybrid jacket and a vest. But I also think that Patagonia should look into doing some sort of ‘Nano-Air Heavyweight’ or something like that. Recently I’ve been checking out what Arc’teryx has been doing with their Proton series and I’m definitely impressed because they’ve been able to come out with three different weights of the jacket, and I think they did it really well. And honestly I would like the idea of there being more features as the warmth of the jacket increases, so in this instance the Nano-Air light jacket (or pullover) would be bare bones, whereas the Heavyweight version would basically have everything the current Nano-Air (in terms of features), and then yeah the mid weight version would basically be like the 2019-2022 version. I think if Patagonia did that it would definitely be received well.
