The New Organic Climbing Airline Tri-fold Pad (Review)
what a mighty fine piece of solar sewn quality foam
In all seriousness this pad is an amazing tri-fold pad and an amazing addition to Organic's pad lineup.

    they look good in the moss color. Are they good everyday shoes i can also wear to the office? Would be nice to have an approach shoe when you go right to the crag after work

    I just got my big pad and it’s great, I only have one problem with it and it’s the backpack system. The carrying is great when you have it all set up but it takes 5 minutes to set up and remove, also the straps don’t cinch as tight as I would like as the hardware is just a bit too big. The foam is relatively hard which I like but others might not. The customizability is top notch, easily the best part of organic pads. Build quality is easily the best in the industry.

    Looking to get these pants but worried about overheating a bit. Did you notice they got too hot during approaches at certain temps? Do they sit on the colder side or the warmer side? Thanks

    Hi! I'm considering buying this Katanas mainly for indoor bouldering. But I don’t have access to try them before buying since we don’t have climbing shoes in retail stores. My foot is greek and 25.5cm long. But I’ve heard that they tend to fit large. I’m not considering downsizing, I just want a proper fit. What’s your experience in sizing them? Thanks

    I know this comment is really late, but what temperature range does this boot feel comfortable in? I’m looking for a boot for winter alpine and ice climbing in Europe where it stays around -15C / 5 F. Great review by the way 👍

    Hello! Great video! I got one question, the katana lace will fit high mid volume, greek shape foot? Thanks! And agine really great review video!

    • @TheBelaytionship
      @TheBelaytionship 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Overall the shoe should fit high to mid volume pretty easy just because it's a lace up shoe, and the toe box should work pretty good with your shape of foot. Maybe check into options from SCARPA though as their shoes run pretty high volume, something like the Generator from SCARPA would be very similar to the Katana Lace.

    Do you think that is possible to put a shell on it? Or it’s too bulky? I’m looking for a jacket for belaying but also a jacket that can be used in a more “wet” clima.

    What's your "go to" run down the mountain in shoe? Wondering what is more comfortable for that purpose? Also I am going to be doing some climbing up some rock slides where I think I may want some flexibility. Think about a 45 degree rock slide.

    Hey Jill! Thanks for the review. I noticed you mentioned the heel was a little more volume than your heel could fill; would you mind describing where in the heel you feel dead space? I currently am using the Drago LV’s and while my toe and back of my heel lock in nicely whenever I unweight my heels and shift weight onto my toes they lift a little bit from the sole, creating some dead space between the underside of my heel and the sole. Was wondering if you experienced something similar with the boosters? Thanks!

    • @jillsjournalss
      @jillsjournalss 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey! I haven’t noticed too much of a gap between the bottom of my heel and the sole. The main area I notice space is on the sides of the heel cup. There is a chance they have the same issue, but the overall heel ‘baggieness’ is more noticeable to me

      It’s basically Polartec Power Stretch Pro, with a micro grid. It’s definitely nowhere near as technologically advanced as R1 Air and falls in line with a lot of fleece insulation offerings from other brands (Arc’teryx)

    Very underrated jacket. Versatile as a cool weather stand alone that will last forever with that techface. Makes a great midlayer that breathes well that slides easily against whatever you put over it without worry about pilling like a regular R1 or other fleece.

    Have you thought about cutting out the arm and hood gaskets? I’m thinking about picking one up (50% off right now!) and cutting them out since they were the only features I thought would stand in the way of making this an all around hard shell for mountain sports

    • @TheBelaytionship
      @TheBelaytionship หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have thought about doing that since it would fix the problem, but the only thing that's kept me from doing it is the gray area with the warranty. Technically any modification you do to a piece makes the warranty not valid, for that area though. So if you made the modification to the jacket any future problems with the sleeves and hood would not be covered under the warranty, but the main body of the jacket would still be covered. If you're cool with that then go for it! I think those modifications would make the Super Free Alpine Jacket a bomber hard shell!

    I am on my 3rd pair of these and they are great, even for multi-day 30-mile hikes across rocky ascents and descents in the UK Lakes. The grip across all terrain is superb and my feet never ache, ever, no matter how far I go. The biggest gripes are they are not waterproof in 2 inches of water and the laces are awful. I have to tie them every few hours and when the shoes are wet, every 20 minutes. When you are wearing waterproof socks and your shoes are soaked, the insoles slip and crumple at the front. You cannot walk until you take them out and walk without them. I have done over 700 miles in the last year in one pair and they have been otherwise faultless. They are the best shoes I have ever bought for all terrain. I forgot to add: they are brilliant running shoes as well on off-road, descents. Running down Grassmore scree in the Lakes with a 10kg back pack is a breeze with these shoes.
