- Welcome to the 11th episode of a series, where I travel around official photo spots of the Grand Tour of Switzerland. In this episode, we will visit the one and only photo spot, which is moving as it is positioned on the top of the Beckenried-Gersau ferry.
Grand Tour of Switzerland is the best alpine road trip in the world, which will take you on a 1600 km long scenic road, from lakes surrounded by palms, across amazing mountain passes, glaciers to rustic mountain villages. You will visit the most beautiful places in Switzerland. There are officially 55+ photo spots along the trip, marked with an iconic stand.

Thanks a lot, Gerald! ✨👍🏻 40 years, really? 😀 It's one of my favorite destinations in Switzerland, mainly as it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and it's within one hour driving time from our home... Just this weekend we made a small hike around Urnersee along Weg der Schweiz and we discovered a new cable car, which we were not aware of yet... 😀 And two weeks ago we hiked to Rütli and had a surprising moment as the local club of parrot owners visited the place with their pets 🦜 So you can see the mountains, lake, Swiss flag and huge ara macaws parrot flying around 😂
On other hand, over our 15 years in Switzerland, we've been only 3-4 times at the Lake Constance...

Thanks so much, Urška! 🥰 The light on that evening was really amazing - I waited for a later time in the season (October) to get a chance to see the sunset on the ferry, but it was bad weather for several weeks... It was one day before closing the season and it worked out 😀 Really close call this time...
PS: I'm getting slowly closer and closer to Luzern... 😀 So hope that we will be able to meet in person and film one episode together - The best of Luzern according to Slovenian Girl Abroad.

Hehe, true. Let’s hope we’ll manage to meet and film this year, hehe. To be honest, it is a bit challenging to find time to film anything these days. Two little kids are sometimes too much to handle. 🙉

Děkuji moc, Petře 😀 Byli jsme s tátou u toho jezera a napadlo mne, že bychom mohli stihnout západ slunce na tom trajektu. Zkoušel jsem ho natočit už předtím, dokonce jsem tam jel na šestou ráno, abych stihnul východ slunce na vodě, ale předpověď počasí se spletla, a bylo zataženo s nízkou oblačností... Ale tentokrát to počasí vyšlo 🌅 👍🏻

I like Lake Luzern a lot and I'm working slowly on the video dedicated to the lake itself, but still few parts are missing... It's my pet video project - as it is not so far from home, I'm trying to collect great moments around the lake and then make the compilation video...

Thanks a lot, my friend ✨ It was one of the trips with my father during his autumn visit... I tried to film the ferry few weeks ago, at the sunrise time, but weather was really bad (despite promising forecast), so I was happy to repeat it at the sunset... One of the last trips of the season.
